this was the second time I used Billys plumbing. Which was provided through my home warranty plan and this was for a rental property. So time was of the essence. They got the order first thing in the morning and were out and took care of the stoppage before noon,Which was Amazing as the tenants we're just a little upset for the inconvenience of the shower backing up

I should of wrote a review a few months ago. My plumbing is a hot mess. It's a 1960s house in Woodland Hills. And the joke is when these models were built the plumbers were high. Most think pot, I'm starting to think LSD. lol. I've had problems in the past and used champion plumbing. That Ahole charged me $300.00, toilets backed up again in a week and Gunther wouldn't come back out nor give me back my money. Plus he accused me of being drunk at 10am!!! Billy's's is awesome same thing happened a few years later. Billy's's came out that day, took care of it and were very nice. From now on I'm a Billy's's customer.

This is a long review because there were multiple factors and a huge difference between three companies. The company I'm reviewing here solved our problem and deserves a review worthy of the work their technician put in. If you are concerned or panicked about a possibly expensive plumbing issue, it may be worth reading my whole story here.

Our master bath backed up in the shower, toilet and sink on a Friday. First, we had called another company, who came that day and attempted to snake from the main access and supposedly hydro-jetted from the roof access to clear the line; then they used a camera to scope.

There were three different guys with three different trucks that came from this company. They snaked the main, but they were unable to clear it and said the pipe had to be replaced by digging up our foundation inside the master bedroom and bath to 'spot repair' the pipe, for $4320.00.

This was quite a shock, as we thought it would be a simple snake job. Luckily, they did not charge us because they were unable to clear the line, with no other service call fee. But we were concerned about jumping into a $4k job.

So we contacted our home warranty company, Old Republic Home Protection, who sent out another company that we requested, based on a friends recommendation.

The funny thing is, the one we asked for wasn't the one we got. Apparently, there are two companies with the same name, different contractor's licenses, addresses and phone numbers. So we ended up booking both by mistake (one on our own who would charge for their visit, $250 regardless, and one through our warranty, which had a small service call fee of $85). It was a happy accident, because the one charging $250 was the one that ended up cancelling on us the following Monday after they were supposed to have shown up. So the second company is basically a non-issue.

So this review is for the third company:

Our warranty company set up the service request and work order with Billy's, then they called me to schedule. All on Friday, after the first company's failed attempt at clearing the clog. I spoke to Susanne (or Susanna) at Billy's and my technician was Sebastian A. They scheduled for Monday between 12p & 3p. Sebastian showed up promptly by 2:20pm and I received a text about his arrival 10 minutes prior. That was nice.

My husband and I are immune compromised, so I asked Sebastian to wear a mask and booties and he gladly did so. I explained the situation and he got busy; he was very methodical. First he checked to see where the entire backup was in the bathroom; he checked the shower, toilet and sink, which did back up, and he did think it was a clog and went to address that first.

Sebastian went outside and to check the main line through the access, which he confirmed was clear, but did have some water sitting in it from the clog in the bathroom. He then went into the bathroom and worked very hard to open our access there, which was painted over; the first company didn't even bother with that access, they said they could not be snaked from the bathroom.

Well, Sebastian got it open and snaked the through the bathroom access, constantly checking the sink, toilet and shower for the backup. All of sudden, the water in the shower drained and you could hear a 'swoosh' of all the water draining underneath. He cleared the clog!

And by the way, every single time Sebastian went outside, he put his booties back on before coming in, he kept his mask on, and he put a cloth down on the floor in the bathroom; he also covered the snaking machine with a plastic garbage bag I supplied, so he could cover it and not drip through the house on the way out. Every step was methodical, meticulous and professional. The first company did none of that, and, did not communicate or explain anything; Sebastian answered ALL my questions and explained everything.

Now our pipes are cast iron and old and will need replacing eventually, but for now, he was able to get everything cleared and functional, without jack hammering and digging up our foundation inside the house (which would have been a huge unexpected inconvenience and expense), and for our warranty company's service fee of $85! I really wanted to cry with relief!

Thank you Susanne, Sebastian and Billy's Plumbing and Rooter for being meticulous, putting first things first, not giving up because of a stubborn access, and being honest about our options! You are now in our book!

I called Billy for a problem I was having with my Tankless Water Heater (Rannai) . Within twenty minutes Billy had found the problem, cleaned one of the internal filters, replaced two of my water pipes leading to the unit and even fixed a leaking propane pipe going to the unit. There were no surprise charges and al of this was covered in a reasonable service call charge. I would definately use Billy again.

Billy's was referred to us by our home warranty company. Our toilet was loose in our master bathroom. It turned out that it was loose because the toilet was not the correct size to cover the footprint. This caused leaking and wood rot.

Our warranty company wouldn't cover it but Suzanne gave us a really reasonable price and were able to come the next day and fully repair the area. We were originally told that we would have to have new linoleum installed but Hector was able to salvage the old flooring.

They went beyond our expectations.

Glad to have found a plumber that we trust.
