Plumbing. Never a favorite subject but recently a most frustrating one. Take one plugged disposal, add in some very unseasonal weather patterns and you have a recipe for disaster, and that's exactly what we got. Amidst the recent first weather event, it all came to a head. Called a plumber on Friday when it happened. He will be out on Monday. Monday no show, accident with his vehicle. Time set for Tuesday. Upon his arrival, very quickly into the service he confided in us that due to a ""bend"" in the pipe, repair required a specific snake which he didn't have. Second plumber set to come out on Friday (one week). When he arrived he concurred with plumber number one and said that he had to ""source a machine"" to make the service. He ""hoped"" he could be out there on Friday (2 weeks). Wednesday he called, he was sick and it would be another 5 days before he could handle our service. Here we are, washing dishes in two buckets, one to wash, one to rinse, taking them to the alley to dump, posting a ""guard"" during showers just to make sure, (kitchen on the main floor), the water is draining. Same scenario for washing clothes. I know nothing of plumbing, safeguards imposed by my husband, I was willing to comply. Frankly I was doubtful this would be handled on Friday.

Karen Metzger walks into where I work and wants to know why the long face. I explain to her my ""issues"" , she immediately knows the issue and assures me they can handle it. She takes my address and phone number and assures me tomorrow it will be handled. Office calls the next day, a very pleasant professional young lady tells me that Nick will be arriving in 30 minutes. Nick arrives, nice guy, and in 30 minutes Nick is pulling out and my problem is solved.

There might just be a ""Plumbing Angel"" in all this because on the day that Metzger arrived, I have to admit I was at the end of my rope. Problem solved. No searching for specific equipment, so calls to delay and delay again. Problem solved expeditiously with unbelievable service and commitment.

Yeah they get my vote, 5 stars and a Thank You from the bottom of my heart! You did what you advertise, efficiently and effectively, necessary equipment in stock, the tech (Nick) was very knowledgeable, professional and an all around fantastic guy.

So I have learned. You can call those ""other guys"", and you get the service that won't fix your problem. Call the pros...! Enough said. Don't waste your time, your energy or your patience. When you need prompt, efficient, courteous service, you know who to call. Metzger Plumbing. (Saved my life, not really, but sure turned a ""yucky"" situation into problem solved).

Broken disposal on a Sunday. Technician was there in less than 30 minutes, replaced the disposal in no time and it works perfectly. Thank you Bill Metzger Plumbing!

Long established plumbing company that does great work and that cares about the quality of their work and does that at a fair price! Was dealing with medical issues with my husband in Dec. of 23 when all of a sudden had a blocked lavatory...of course on the weekend! Call Bill Metzger Plumbing for i knew they had a good reputation and were local (since 1961). Nick and his co-worker stopped by on time. Assessed the problem and they went to work right away. He kept me informed of what he was doing to figure out what was going on. They happened to have a ""special"" going on and we were lucky that the special would work with our plumbing problem. They got everything working again and cleaned up after themselves. Nick took me aside and mentioned some important things to do because of my husband impaired memory, so that helped a lot.

Appreciated the kindness, empathy towards us, and getting things done for us in a timely manner.

Thank you Bill & Nick for making a stressful situation into one that was able to be resolved in a timely manner. Reasonable $$ too!! Will certainly be calling Bill Metzger plumbing for all future plumbing needs.

And a footnote; hubby is doing much better!

Thristan, the technician who came to service my garbage disposal was very clear, efficient, and kind. He spoke simply and honestly about the situation, he did not try to ""upsell"" me, but explained some
Preventative actions I could take and gave recommendations. He arrived punctually. He was freshly showered, and his uniform was clean and he was well groomed. When asked direct questions, he gave direct answers. I was exceedingly pleased with his demeanor, clarity, and skill at fixing the drain in my kitchen. He is a 5-Star technician. Cannot recommend him too highly. He was great.

The company guarantees their work... we had one small issue with one faucet installation after the job was completed, and it was quickly resolved.

I was told by the gas company to get a licensed plumber to come and check on the gas pressure inside the house. I called them and they sent me a plumber right away and when they came, measured the pressure and when they found out that everything is normal and no need to fix anything they credited me back their fees and they didn't take advantage of the situation.

Alfonso from Bill Metzger Plumbing came to our home to fix a water leak. We were very impressed from our first call with everyone in the office. Alfonso came out on a Sunday and did not disappoint. After he fixed the leak, I inquired about getting our home repiped since this was the second pin hole leak in the past 5 years. He gave us a bid the next day and we moved forward to get things repiped. Although, communication about what a mess it would create was a little loose, everything and everyone on the job and through the office were extremely professional and they did an excellent job! Greg a manager was also very helpful when Alfonso was not available for a short time on one of the days. Excellent people! Highly recommend them.
