When I needed to get a new faucet for my bathroom sink, he did all the research for the type of sinks that would work in our space, and sent them to me. Thank you Bill!

I am one hard-a$$ critic when it comes to finding good contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc. I have a rule of thumb to get at least 3 bids when dealing with jobs over $1000 (if it's not a dire emergency that is). Why? Because I've gotten such different ""estimates"" for the same exact job(s) to be done in the past. From a water heater replacement, to a furnace replacement, to even painting contractors - - bids coming in ""way"" off from the others (varying by hundreds to thousands of dollars).
Bill Johnson was one of the plumbers I called when my water heater was leaking from the top. I called 2-3 other plumbers as well. Bill was on vacation but returned my call (by text) within a short period of time, telling me when he'd be back, asking what the problem was, etc. (It was a holiday weekend so he didn't even need to do that, but he did). Long story short, I hired him to fix the w/h leak (as well as fixing the air gap/hose under the sink that was leaking). He was professional, honest, well spoken, clean cut, and he explained everything about the problem, had no problem answering my questions (or having me watch him work on the water heater). I have finally found a plumber I can happily say that I will use in the future. His pricing was extremely fair and his work was ""OCD"" perfect! I also love that with Bill being a one-man show, I won't have to worry about getting someone ""new"" or someone else coming out to do a job (like with bigger plumbing companies who send whoever is available that day). It's nice having one plumber who stands by his work and does a great job.Thank you, Bill Johnson.

I would definitely recommend Bill Johnson for any water heater repair. He's very easy to communicate with via text or over the phone. He knows what he's doing!!! And he has all the right contacts to get things done right...

We had an incident where our water heater was making a large boom sound and would rumble when we used hot water. I was able to take a video of the rumbling noise and sent it to him via text and he then advised me to call the company since we were still under warranty. He didn't want to waste our money with a visit if it was something that could be fixed by a simple phone call. Well, after I made the phone call it became apparent that we needed his expertise. He was able to see us the next day and call the right guys to be able to get the parts we needed without having to pay out of pocket; again, we are still under warranty, but the company wanted us to pay OOP first and then get reimbursed later. Whatever Bill did for us was awesome, nothing OOP and the part was replaced.

Well that helped fix part of the problem, once the first part was replaced, he discovered that another part needed to be ordered and replaced. We made another call to the company for the parts we needed, Bill was able to get the part (again nothing OOP) and he came as soon as he received the part and finally we have a quiet and working water heater!!!

Bill is so great at his job, I think of him as the Titan of Plumbing! My Mom and I adore this man - he is skilled, professional, explains all the work to be done (in a way that doesn't make you feel like you're a dope) and ALWAYS gets the job done perfectly! He has installed my new O.A. Smith water heater, completely rebuilt my 3 Mansfield toilets (using Mansfield parts!) and most recently fixed a nasty leak from a Moen sink in our 3rd bath. There is nothing Bill can't do and he seems to always make time for us, which my Mom and I love. We like him so much, I invited him to join us for a Beef Stroganoff lunch (he preferred to keep working and turned me down, but I always appreciate his dedication and enthusiasm! For us, there is no one we trust or like more. You will never be disappointed, if you hire Bill!

I have used Bill's Plumbing 4 or 5 times since I found him in 2012. He has always returned my calls promptly, and he shows up on time with the right tools. He has accommodated my schedule every time. Look at some of the pictures he has on Facebook. Truly a professional. He doesn't charge enough for what he does. It doesn't get any better than this!

Bill Johnson was a pleasure to work with. I wanted to change out three old toilets. He gave me lots of advice and went to considerable trouble checking out available options for me. He installed my new toilets carefully, and adjusted for one uneven old tile floor so the toilet would sit properly.
He was fun to talk to, and certainly knew all the ins and outs of toilets and how they work.

5...HUNDRED STARS!! The last honest, hilarious, kind and super-skilled plumber on the planet. And that's not an exaggeration.
Bill came out because after we attempted and failed at replacing our own toilet, we knew we needed a professional. Previous owners had rigged the flange, and we were super worried it was going to turn into a plumbing nightmare. It didn't, thanks to Bill. To boot, he swapped out our garbage disposal while he was here. And??? He's a genuine, sweet, funny and honest guy. Like, seriously, I want this man to come over for Thanksgiving.
The following week I called last minute to see if he could come to our friend's house to fix her shower nozzle, as a surprise birthday gift for her. No problem! On time to the minute, yet again, cheerful, explanatory and fast.
Honestly? I didn't feel like he charged enough, so on both visits I tipped. So should you!
I am so, SO happy to have a go-to plumber who I know is not just skilled and honest, but a genuinely good person. Damn, that's rare.
Especially if you live in American Canyon, or thereabouts, stop looking, and call Bill. Now. Honestly? I keep finding myself looking for plumbing issues, just so I can give Bill a ring! Funny, but true!!
