scott h.I'm a repeat customer. Tankless water heater acting up. Technician showed up on time and disassembled the unit. Unit needed the burner cleaned. We're back online. Brenton is a real pro as this was no small task.
Just had a new air conditioning unit installed. The Bill However team was extremely professional. On time and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I wouldn't work with anyone other than Bill Howe. The best in the business.
Sarah C.A homeowner has many possible nightmares, but this time I came home with a flooded garage and a busted water heater. We were wondering who to call when my daughter chimed in with ""call 1 800 Bill Howe."" Ok, we did! It ended up a pretty breezy experience (aside from the price tag) thanks to their awesome techs. Steven evaluated the problem and discussed our options. He was personable and helpful. Miguel then came out, within an hour, to install the new water heater. Miguel was friendly and efficient. Hopefully we won't need Bill Howe anytime soon, but would definitely use them again.
Great experience all around! From the pricing and scheduling on the website to the excellent Technician that came out named David. And speaking of David, he called promptly on the day of Service to confirm his arrival, was on time, very professional, super clean, explained all performed services and presented very helpful additional options. As a longtime homeowner I highly recommend Bill Howe and David for all your needs!
This week,
3 sinks in my house were suddenly backing up.
I scooped out all the water and turned off the water switch under the sinks.
I then called Bill Howe and Jerod showed up to look at my problem.
He opened up the small cutout door that showed water pipe that leads to garage below me. He showed me that the leak was coming from the big pipe in the wall. I could see that
It was definitely leaking.
I live in a condo that was built in 1985.
The big, copper pipe was all rusty and corroded.
He said that snaking my sinks could damage the big pipe even more, and possibly cause it to rupture and cause a flood into my condo.
The big pipe needed to be replaced, a big job
that involved cutting open drywall to get to the pipe.
I had hoped it would just be a simple drain snaking.
But being that it was a much bigger job, I was mandated to contact the HOA. They sent over their own plumbers, the next day.
When they looked at the sinks, they diagnosed them Exactly the way Jerod had said. By this time, the wall leak had increased and water had overflowed in one of the sinks.
I asked Jerod what I owed him for coming out
and helping me diagnose the problem, and he said I owed Nothing!
I REALLY APPRECIATED that and his help!
I would never have guessed the origin of the leak, since the spaces under the 3 sinks were completely dry.
I would definitely recommend Bill Howe company!

Jim S.We had our very old cast iron drain pipes replaced by Bill Howe Plumbing. We got a price that was less than half of what another company estimated. Rob Altamirano did a great job for us, he was very efficient, polite and professional. He made this the best home repair experience we've had in decades. We recommend you ask for this young gentleman if you are looking for plumber.
Wow! One of the best experiences I've had with a service. Dave and Xavier knocked it out of the park. Their professionalism, organized set-up, clean-up...just everything was top tier. I've never seen a level used to make sure the pipes were straight. I had a real DIY, janky water heater situation 'before' and ended up with a beautiful 'after' that makes me feel like my home is completely safe and working properly. They were more than happy to explain everything to me in laywoman terms. Reasonable pricing. Even the man providing the estimate, Tris, was clean, friendly and professional.
Amazing service, great communication and fast response. Worked with two other plumbers prior to getting second opinion from Bill Howe and there was no comparison in service and knowledge. Joel came out to diagnose the issue and also came out the next day to repair the lines and drain pipes for tub. TY!
I called Bill Howe to come out to find the source of a leaky toilet and provide me with a quote to fix. I was told over the phone when I made the appointment that diagnosis is free and that once the root cause of the leak was found, I would be given a quote for the fix. When the technician came, he gave me a quote of $341 saying he was sure the toilet just needed to be removed and reset with new wax ring. I agreed to that. He did say that he'll let me know if he finds anything else. After taking off the toilet, he says the cause of the leak is that the flange is too low and gave me a new quote for about $1450. He still wanted to reset the toilet back and said that would be temporary fix and that would still cost me the $341. Then they would come back out to do the permanent fix for $1450 so total overall cost would be almost $1800. I told him I would not want to do the temporary fix and pay for that if that's just temporary and then on top of that to pay for the permanent fix also. I told him I would want to get other quotes and opinions on the permanent fix. He charged me about $200 for removing the toilet and diagnosis. I contacted his manager and spoke to Kenny because I felt misled. It was not clear that I would have to pay for just removing the toilet and diagnosis. Kenny said the ""free"" diagnosis is for visual inspections only and if the toilet had to be removed, then they charge $200.
If I were told that from the beginning, I would not have agreed to it. I feel totally misled and that it should have been made clear from the beginning that they would charge $200 for removing the toilet and diagnosis. Kenny apologized for the miscommunication and said he would give me a 10% discount from the $1450. I declined and will not be using this company again. I am sharing my experience so hopefully others will not be misled like how I was.
For Bill Howe, my recommendation to you is to be up front with your customers and just tell them that if you have to remove the toilet to find the root cause of a leak, that you will charge $200. That simple. I'm sure some customers would decline this if they knew ahead of time like I would have. I should not have been given the $341 quote for the ""fix"" when your technician truly did not know what the cause was yet. Instead, I should have been told ahead of time that the cost to remove the toilet and diagnose is $200. The cost to remove the toilet, diagnose and reset the toilet back is $341.
Jason Andrews of Bill Howe Plumbing was dispatched to my house. We had a bad blockage in our sewer line with it backing up into our shower on one bathroom and in a bathtub in another. Jason told us what he felt could be the cause, and said he was going to get the equipment from his truck. He used a mechanical powered ""plumbers snake"" and cleared out our line from the house lines to the main line 160' of line! It worked, and when he hit the blockage the water flowed out of the fall out pipe and the cause was the so-called ""flushable"" bathroom wipes. He said the fact that despite proper use, they do not breakdown fast enough in most American plumbing systems and cause blockage (in my case serious blockage!) I'm eternally grateful for the advice and the competent straight-foward manner that Jason demonstrated that there is still good old fashioned and honest plumbers. I felt the rate was more than reasonable as in the recent past I spent a fortune with another competitor who isn't even in the same class as Jason of Bill Howe. And how!
