I was told I would get a call mid week of my vacation week (last week) to come and take a look at my plumbing issues. There was never any further correspondence, so now my vacation is over and I couldn't get another plumber out to help with my problems before my vacation ended. I understand things taking a little longer with the world the way it is, but if you say you're going to call a customer, at least call and explain the situation and when/if you can help. Now I'll have to take off another day from work sometime to have the issue looked at and fixed.

I had a sewer backup on 7-2-2020 at about 8:00 PM. I have a service contract with a company called HomeServe for this type of problem. When I called HomeServe, they put out a call for any plumber in the area that is part of their network to repair the problem. On 7-3-2020, at about 8:30 AM, I received a call from Bill Brown. He took the call, and said he said that he thought he get to my house sometime on Friday, 7-3-2020. When he never showed on Friday, I assumed he would be out Saturday morning. I called him at about 8:30AM on 7-4-2020, and was only able to leave a message. I also texted him, but no reply. I then called HomeServe, hoping they could contact him. They tried e-mail, but nothing again.
It is now Wednesday 7-9-2020, and still no response from him. He took the call and never completed it or even had the courtesy to call with a reason. I have this service policy that he is a participating provider with, yet I was forced to pay another plumber to correct the problem.
My suggestion is not to call this company for your plumbing needs. They will probably set up an appointment, and never show up.
Very disappointed. Very poor businessman.

Great service, trustworthy and reliable. When one plumber told me immediately without a thorough assessment that I needed a full bathroom gut job and quickly quoted me $5000-$6000, I called Bill for a second opinion! $400 later, a simple leaky tub was fixed and I was able to get my contractor in to fix the ceiling and saved thousands!

At first contact Bill seems very professional and helpful.
And then he does not show up for the job. You call bill and again he seems apologetic and promises to be out.. and then he does not show up again... He does not seem to care about you or your emergency. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if your need is time critical.

I called Bill Brown because the main toilet in my home was leaking into my kitchen. My initial appointment was for a Wednesday around ""lunchtime"". I called him at 3:00 to confirm he was still planning to come that day. I understand that plumbers get busy and jobs can become larger than they initially thought, however; I was provided no communication to confirm that the appointment was going to take place as scheduled - I had taken the day off of work for this appointment. He said he was coming once he finished the job and would call and let me know when he was on his way. He finally came at 5:30 (with no call), spent 15 minutes in my house, and couldn't fix the issue, so we scheduled an appointment for the next Friday, between 8-9 am. I called him at 10:00 only to be advised that his truck had broken the day before and he wasn't sure if he could come out that day. Again, I had taken a day off of work, and we are now 2 weeks without a working bathroom upstairs. I was able to contact Roto-Rooter Friday morning and they sent someone that afternoon and he was able to fix the problem within 40 minutes.

TL; DR - don't hire him. Hire Roto-Rooter instead. Same day appointment and fix.

I called Bill Brown with a blocked outside drain problem at my sons rental and he said he would be there at noon and that is the exact time he came. The price was less than any other places I have called and the drain was unblocked in a timely fashion so no extra fees were charged! He explained the problem when he was done and my son and I were very pleased! I will never call anyone else. I will use him for my home and all my rentals! I have had similar problems at other rentals and they charged me twice as much as he did and were there half the time!

I am a property manager from nearby pittsburgh. With the subzero weather we have been having lately, I was having difficulty with my regular plumbers not having time to travel to Donora, PA for a simple repair of a shower. I called Bill Brown Plumbing in nearby Monesen, PA. He had some good reviews on yelp. He answered me directly. He was able to go over to the property the next day. He would have gone that day but the tenant was not cooperating. He fixed the shower and more importantly, let me know that the tenant had ripped up the tub surround. He took pictures and sent them to me so I have a record. I can now send someone out there to fix the surround in a timely manner. He also sent me my invoice and stayed under my budget. I highly recommend Bill Brown Plumbing

Mr. Brown was very receptive to our call! This time he responded right away and Cameron was here within a few hours to fix our emergency. Cameron was excellent and knew exactly what he was doing. We will definitely use this service again! I am so glad we gave him a second chance!
