After calling 5 different businesses and only getting voicemails Bigfoot answered our call. They were very busy but put us on the list. We finally got our sewer pipe thawed after a 24 hour wait. None of the voicemail messages returned my calls. Thank you BigFoot! We value your service.

I have been a customer since 2013......no longer giving Bigfoot my money. Zero customer service and just plain rude. I promptly called Fairbanks Pumping and Thawing and am scheduled for a pump out. Rebecca was professional and prompt. There are other options Fairbanks for your septic needs!

Wow!!! Where to start? If I could give this company 10 stars I would. Long story short. Woke up in the morning Friday (Fathers day weekend and then Federal Holiday Juneteenth) to water in laundry room, bathroom. Didn't know what was going on so followed standard protocol and Shut off water to house. Shop vac water and spend weekend drying carpets. Spoke to plumber on Friday and he told us what it probably was, over filled septic. Thank God only grey water came in house and we caught it pretty early and quit all water usage in house. Called pumping companies (going down the list) Friday, Saturday and no answer or return calls. Super bummed out now. Then on 1st thing morn Monday contact with some companies but they were booked 3 weeks +. Called Bigfoot, spoke to a lady (apologize that I don't remember name) she asked questions and gave info but was also booked out but said she would try . Hour later she called and truck is on its way. Driver incredibly helpful. Seems lift station circuit breaker tripped during city power outage, hence alarm never went off. Had no idea that could happen. Anyways Ma'am you are an Angel and Bigfoot deserves 10 stars!

I have used this company for several things over the years. A month ago I called them to open a sewer line. It was early in the morning. they said they would be there soon. The day went by and it was end of the work day and they had not showed up. I received several calls from the person living in the unit throughout the day asking when they would show up. Tenant said they showed up with no tools. They charged $750. Had to call another plumber to fix a day later. Tenant said

We called BigFoot Pumping & Thawing five days ago to have our septic pumped and to also buy their camera sewer line viewing service, to see if the lines were OK. The polite lady stated they have a pump truck available this afternoon, but the camera wouldn't be available tell another day (camera man out of town). We were very agreeable for that. She asked us how the roads were (it being winter time), and we said we would call them back and let them know shortly when we go drive on them. We called back shortly thereafter, and let them know the roads were in great shape, they said they would call us when on their way (this was in the morning). They did not call nor show up, so we called back for an update. They stated it was too late now, and they would call us before coming out another day, and did not know when they would call or be available. A few days later we called to get an update on when they thought they would be out, with no luck on an estimate, said they would call us before coming out. Five days later they call and said they have time to come out and steam the sewer lines. I stated we needed to have the backed-up septic tank pumped first, in order for any cleaned material to have a place to drain to, if steaming was required before the camera service. The man was very short, rude, and stated that they won't be out anytime soon if they couldn't steam today. ( Really,,,!!,,,? ). Said they don't have a pump truck available today. I asked why they didn't show up the first day when they said they had a pump truck, and the man got really rude, and said to call someone else and hung up! Wow. I called back and he stated again to find someone else, and don't ever call back. We've been very patent, respectful, courteous, yet this man at BigFoot Pumping and Thawing was nothing but agitated and rude from the very get go. Totally disrespectful, short tempered and over the top rude. We will call someone else, and will be sure to recommend anyone else other than this company. There was nothing we said that warranted this type of interaction nor being put off septic tank pumping for five days. Their approach to providing services out of order lends to unnecessary over charges, and an unsuitable result!!! I'd suggest anyone call other companies besides this one.

I called today at 12:45, thinking I had a septic issue. Our tank was pumped by another company (couldn't remember the name) in July so I knew that wasn't the issue. I was told by the woman I spoke with that she couldn't tell me when they would be out but they would call before they sent someone. I called back after speaking to our real estate agent to let them know I knew the original company. When I called back I spoke with a man, he told me I would be better off contacting our original pumping company since they pumped it. I did as he suggested and the original company came and looked at it. This evening at 6pm, this company showed up trying to pump our tank. Without calling and AFTER they told me to call a different company. They did no work, and left a $250.00 invoice on my door. My husband has called and talked to two different people who keep hanging up on him. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COST.

Our septic was backed up and had to have a clog cleared a couple weeks ago. But the problem continued, it seems they didn't clear it completely the first time. So on top of the bill to clear part of the clog the first time, I had to pay another bill more than 4 times the first amount for them to fix what they should have fixed when they were here before. And they left the stuff that was stuck in the pipes on our lawn! Should have looked up reviews before calling them.

Our toilet and shower got clogged. I called the landlord who assured me that Bigfoot Pumping and Thawing would be getting a hold of me soon to set up an appointment. About Eight hours later I give them a call to find out what is going on. They proceed to inform me on the first day that it might take a couple days, It sucks but I understand. The next day I give them a call to see if they will be able to come check out my house sometime today. They proceed to inform me that some council needs to consider it before hanging up on me. I called them back, and pleaded to simply know if I was on the schedule for today, and they informed me that they would never be showing up. I didn't get service at all, just jerked around for roughly 36 hours.

Do not do business with Bigfoot/pump and thawing. Called to get quote on cost for well steaming. Was told $200 and he could get to it today, ""MAYBE"" tomorrow. The home that needed to be steamed is in North Pole. We live in Fairbanks (about 45min drive). We didn't get a call from him that day to say if they would be coming out so we called him about 4:00 to make sure they were not going to do the steaming as we would not be there. We get home at its 5:17 Kurt calls to tell us he has a truck in route, it's about 5mins out. We told him we were home already and would take us about 45min to get there and he said he didn't care so long as someone was there to pay. Ok so we head to North Pole to meet up with bigfoot. Our well gets steamed (we got what we asked for). And then the bill came. $300 instead of $200. I call the office and was told yea that's for after hours? Wait, what do you mean after hours? I didn't request after hours. He said, ""Well you didn't not request it either."" He took our 4pm phone call as us requesting he send someone NOW. And that was not the message we left. We told him we wanted to verify that you were not coming out, as we were going home (Fairbanks). He was rude and kept telling me ""You didn't ask"" and basically because we mistakenly called him to verify no service today, we get the shit end of the stick. Paid $300 for services and deal with a A**HOLE that is rude and doesn't care about his customers. He's unclear of his services, you shouldn't tell a customer you can come out today when you in fact can't. And if he knew he was planning on charging me an afterhours fee he should have told me upfront so I could decide if that was something I wanted to do. Again, my fault cause according to him I should have asked those said questions. Sorry, that I trusted you and gave you, my business. Will not be doing business with him and will make sure no one I know does either. Good luck with your shitty service!

I called them yesterday 1/30/21 to pump my septic system, instead thawing service came in. I explained to them my septic tank was back flowing, it just need pumped. The guy thawed my pipes anyway. After thawing, he charged me $300 and said my tank was full and needed pumping. He said he'll come back to get the pump truck. He indeed came back, pumped the septic tank and after pumping, he said he pumped around 1500 gallons, so additional cost to what he quoted me $415 before pumping. He charged me $645 for the total pumping. To sum it up, I paid $945 for not even 2 hours for both services. I felt like I got robbed. I think this business is taking advantage especially weekends. An awful experience, I don't want anybody experience the same.
