My experience with Bigelow Plumbing was tremendous. I walked into my basement on a late Friday night to discover my hot water heater leaking badly. Early the next morning I called John Aufrey at Bigelow Plumbing. I described the situation and sent him a couple photos of my hot water heater. Within two hours he had contacted the manufacturer, researched my warranty, sourced a new hot water heater and delivered it to my house. John immediately diagnosed the problem and identified the expansion tank as the culprit. Maneuvering the new unit into my basement was difficult, but through some creativity, John was able to make everything fit. He even went the extra mile to protect the basement wood floors from damage. He also showed great care in draining my old hot water heater and didn't stain my lawn or patio. Before I knew it, the new hot water heater was in place along with a correctly-sized expansion tank. Even though this was a Saturday, John took the time to thoroughly explain the situation and even helped us flush our faucets of air. In short, John saved us from a potentially three-day long ordeal. His knowledge, customer service and thoroughness are second to none.

My experience was okay. I tried calling because I had questions about my bill but the responses were terse about refusing to take credit and debit cards. I was calling because they claimed an extra half an hour of work. Nowhere on the bill does it say that there is a travel rate.
