I had an emergency situation after 7:00 pm on a Saturday and Big Tom's came to the rescue. As water was pouring into my basement Tyler was calm and helpful. He spent much of his Saturday night getting things back into working condition. I am so grateful for Big Tom's 24 hour service. 100% recommend!

I've had to call the place several times and the same problem keeps happening to my toilet. The lady on the phone said,"" Maybe it can't be fixed and could it be your fault."" Makes me frustrated.

Recommended work over $2,000 that I don't need, and didn't clean up after cleaning a drain, resulting in my dogs eating rat poison. I had to take all 4 dogs in for emergency vet care due to their gross negligence. Rude and unprofessional.

It is December and needing to get a float switch fixed on my sewage pump one would have thought ""no big deal!"" Not so! First issue was finding a plumber who could get to me before a month since apparently they are so busy around the holidays. Second finding and using a plumber you can trust. I had the brother of the builder of my home in mind but again he was too busy to get to me and recommended Big Tom Plumbing. I had used them once before to clean out a washer drain and was quite pleased. Hoping for the best I called and surprisingly was given an appointment for Monday between 9 and 12. Monday morning I get a call from Al his employee who works with Tom at 8:40 and the reason he called was to explain to me that they were able to get the float switch in and what the cost might be with labor since they knew I had anticipated it to be less after asking about it when they cleaned the washer drain. Just this alone was very courteous and professional giving me a chance first to okay the repair and keep the appointment. I accepted the quote and they were here right when they said they would be. The repair as I stated should have been something quick and simple but as always there always is something that throws a snag in it. Without detail they had to spend more time I am sure than what was anticipated and I was not charged more than quoted. The repair was done much to my satisfaction and it was a pleasure dealing with them. Both Big Tom and Al are wonderful men and take pride in their work and respect their customer. Al is a great young man who called me ""sir"" when responding to me and truthfully it was a breath of fresh air considering in my mind some of the attitudes of our younger generation today. I highly recommend them and will be by go to company for my plumbing needs in the future. Oh by the way another company who had put the pump in originally claimed the float switch on this particular pump was such that it was better to replace the whole pump. Fortunately I knew better and did not buy into that or my bill would have been 3 times as much and Big Tom did not try to convince me either and readily agreed he could just change the float switch.

I can't comment on how good of work they do they just never showed up! Called in the morning to schedule an evening appointment at 6 and they said no problem. Got home at 5:45 and waited, 7 rolls around I call them they send me through some answering service and a tech calls me at 7:20 he said I'm had some personal troubles I'll be there shortly. 8:20 rolls around and I call him back and cancel the appointment. Then tech proceeds to cuss at me and tell me how rude I am-----Haha. Right that's me. I will never give this company a dime. I would say that they are unprofessional but that's too nice. Flat out rude. I wish I could give zero stars.

Big Tom's Plumbing did an excellent job in fixing the drainage problem in one of my rental property. After I made a call (my first to call this company), the plumber showed up immediately and fix the problem at a very reasonable price. Actually, it was my husband who told me to call them since he too had a very pleasant experience with them. I will certainly call them again in the future. In fact, the job that they did to my rental property was a repeat after the first plumber I called from a different company did not do a good job. Thank you Big Tom's Plumbing.

I own my home in akron still, but moved away 3 years ago for work. I was unable to sell so have been stuck renting since i left. I first used these guys on a small leak, then later used them to install a tub surround, and fix a clogged main pipe.

They have been very professional, responsive, and the price seems fair. Considering when i call them, i'm not there, and about half the time, the house has been unoccupied, i've been very pleased.

Based on my experience, i would recommend them.
