I seriously wish there was a way to give these guys 10 stars. They certainly deserve it. This was an amazing experience in every way and these guys have our business from now on! I really can't say enough good things about them.

I woke up earlier in the week to no hot water. I contacted our home warranty company and they sent a plumber out that afternoon to assess the problem. They determined our water heater was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. We set an appointment for Friday afternoon to replace the old heater. They also requested payment for the $500 out of pocket expense that they estimated we would incur, Should have been a red flag. My husband took off work on Friday to be at home when they came to do the work. On Friday morning the company called and indicated that the plumber had had a family emergency and wouldn't be able to be at our home until Monday or Tuesday. While I'm certainly sympathetic to the tech and hope all is well; one installer for the entire Sacramento area - REALLY? Cold showers really suck.

I got on Yelp and found Big Sky Plumbing and called them and explained the situation. This was mid-morning on Friday. I spoke with Shelly and explained our problem. We spoke for a few minutes and came to an agreement for service and she asked me when would be convenient for us. I half-jokingly said ""now"" certainly not expecting that they could be here until at least Saturday. Shelly's response was ""let me see what I can re-arrange"". They were at our home and had the new water heater installed in less than 3 hours! No muss, no fuss, just exceptional service. They even moved some pictures from our hallway to assure that they wouldn't be damaged removing the old water heater. And we had hot water by the time I got home from work!

Ken and Shelly, thank you so much! You've reminded me that true customer service isn't dead!!! You just have to know where to look.

When I called to make an appointment, Shelly was very courteous and helpful. I think I misunderstood that a plumber would be out the same day; when I called to check to see if they were coming later that afternoon, Ken answered the phone himself. He verified that I had an appointment for the following day, but had one of his plumbers in the area and sent him (Zach) over.

Zach checked our system out, discussed options, and scheduled our water heater to be replaced the following day.

The previous owner had installed the water heater himself and it was not up to code. Ken's team replaced the water heater and updated all of the related plumbing/gas lines bringing us up to code.

They were on time, did a great job, were highly professional and courteous. We will call them again for any plumbing needs.

I called in the afternoon and they had a plumber out to my house within 45 minutes - same day. Travis was gracious enough to come out for a last call before heading home. I really appreciated someone coming out on short notice. Travis was able to repair my hot water heater in less than an hour and was very polite, skilled, and helpful. Two thumbs up! (:

Ken came right on time, removed the old water heater, replaced it with the new one and then hauled off the old one. He finished the job in a couple hours and explained what the difference would be with the new one. I'm can't comment the cost seince our landlord cover the cost but it would definitely recommend him to any one in need of a good plumber.

I thought we had a possible gas leak since our gas bill tripled. Ken personally called me back and explained how to figure out if there was a leak so I don't keep getting overcharged. He was super responsive and gave some pretty great advice on how to save money. The next day he sent a technician out to check our plumbing (water heater, etc.) as well as our furnaces and other gas sources. The plumber had no problem locating the gas leak and making the necessary repairs :)

My scheduled appointment had to be moved back a day because of an emergency plumbing job that came up at another house Greg was servicing. Fortunately, my schedule was open the next day, so rescheduling was not a problem. Greg said his plumber would be at my house around 12pm - 1pm. In fact, the plumber showed up around 2pm. However, Greg did call me before then and let me know that his guy was on his way. That I appreciated. The plumber was courteous and informative and did a good job fixing the leak in my shower. Based on my previous experience with plumbing contractors, I thought what Greg charged for the service call was very reasonable. I will most definitely use them again!

Abruptly felt the need to replace a water heater (as it looked like a river was exiting my garage the night of the 1st) and after leaving messages with some different plumbers I found on yelp, Big Sky Plumbing called back first and came out first thing the following morning.

The water heater they brought out to replace was a Rheem and I was assured it would not fail like the 6.5 year old GE hot water heater that I was having to replace. They were also very patient with me since I wanted to check the warranty on the old water heater (it had an 6 year warranty) and actually see that it was not repairable (involved prying off sheet metal). There was a hiccup with the new water heater but they were extremely prompt and had it fixed almost as soon as I told them of the problem.

After all this was done another plumbing company returned my call and I was able to get a price for a 40 gallon water heater replacement. Big Sky was a bit more expensive but seeing as they were prompt and got the problem fixed quicker than the others could I was happy to pay it and overall more satisfied

My experience with plumbers in the past has been with larger companies who may hire qualified people to do the easy jobs (toilet repair, garbage disposals, faucet dripping, etc.) but I now had a serious leak and needed a company who could find the source and fix it. So I used Yelp to find a smaller qualified plumbing company. Ken responded to my phone message within minutes, and came out himself. In 45 minutes, he identified the problem to be a roofing issue and not a plumbing problem. I call that integrity! Ken explained to me in detail what was happening, and even called a roofing company to come out to fix it. WOW! He also recommended a restoration company to clean up the water in the house. If you are looking for a plumber who is knowledgeable, punctual, service minded, and honest, Big Sky is your company to use.

I needed various plumbing repairs, and installations. They showed on time, and gave me some information concerning different options I had and suggested the most effective route to repair. I needed garbage disposal repaired, and water softener installed and each went quickly and with no issues. I would use Big Sky Plumbing again. It seemed a bit pricey, but for peace of mind that it was done correctly, the price was okay.

Ken was awesome.  Very professional and meticulous.  He was going to be 15 minutes late... He called to let me know and was on time, with newly arranged time.  The first plumber I called never even showed up.  Things couldn't have gone better thanks to Big Sky.  The plumbing under my sink won't be leaking anytime soon. Highly recommended!
