Big Red Services did a very poor installation job it didn't pass inspection. Big Red Services spilled and left toxic oil spill all over my basement floor for me to clean up and get rid of and addition to the oil smell while Big Red was cutting up and removing an oil tank from the basement. The whole house still smells of oil over a month later. The incorrect installation on the inside unit caused it to freeze up leaving a high level of humidity all over basement and upstairs. I called Big Red to report the problems of the unit they installed not working leaking water all over the floor and the oil spill their company left on the floor it was 13 days before they sent their representative who said the unit setting were incorrect. I asked the Big Red representative to point to the return that was part of the bill Big Red sent. His reply there's none. When I asked Big Red why we were told and charged for a return and not told that electrical work needed to be done in the estimate their representative Ryan gave, Big Red replied Ryan is a salesman. After salesman Ryan gave the estimate he called a couple of days later to tell me $1,800.00 electrical work needed to be done and Big Red was still going to install the unit but the unit couldn't be operated until the electrical work was done. The oil spill on the floor and the water leaking from the frozen unit caused mold to build up in the basement exponentially. During a conversation with the Big Red representative Tammy after the unit failed I asked for a new unit and Tammy said she would order a Bryant but it wouldn't available until Monday and someone would come and switch the units. The Big Red representative that came claimed that the unit was not set correctly and he would not be switching the units. When I asked management about Tammy's promise of switching the failed unit to a Bryant I was asked if I had it in writing. The electric bill doubled during this time because the fan ran continuously while the unit was failing. Big Red's instillation did not pass inspection. The inspector said there were problems with the instillation Big Red had to come back to fix them. I received a billed for the reinspection for an inspector to come back to see if Big Red had fixed the problems correctly from their incorrect installation.

Do not do business with this company! I had a service agreement with them at once I signed the agreement and the payment started to come out of my account it was almost impossible to get a maintenance visit from them. I scheduled several appointments and each time was a no call no show.

This was not the week to be without A/C. Unfortunately My A/C was acting up all week and finally decided to stop working yesterday. At 8am this morning I called the company that installed my HVAC 4 years ago and they said they were scheduling service called 1.5 weeks out. It's 90+ and 90% humidity so that was a hard NO. I started calling companies listed on the York (manufacturer) website site. The first one said they maybe able to squeeze me in on Monday. Today's Friday, i was not looking forward to another 4 days of no a/c. Next on the site was Buckingham. I called and they picked right up, I explained my problem, she asked me a couple of questions and said they could squeeze me in between 1-3 this afternoon. Bingo!!! Jeremy showed up around 1:30 and went right to work. Within 5 minutes he identified the problem. He had the part on his truck and spent some time checking the system and found another issue that caused the 1st problem. He fixed that too. Even though I didn't buy the unit from them they honored the warranty and said they'd work it out with York. I only had to pay for the service call, which was half the price of the other 2 places, and what the warranty didn't cover.

I am so happy with their service and professionalism. Jeremy was were so helpful and answered everyone of my endless questions. I now have their sticker on my HVAC and they will be my first/only call in the future. It's summer and it's hot. Everyone is super busy. Thank you Jeremy and Buckingham! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

I called for my AC to be repaired. Jeremy arrived the same day, was able to have it working in less than an hour for a reasonable cost. Very professional and efficient. Highly recommended.

I had two houses that need the same service. But comparing the two companies that we used, this one is not as detailed and they only spend half of the time that the other company did. Not worth the money!!

Updated in Jan 2017: the owner contacted me about the bad rating. First of all, I am a real customer who have houses in DE. There is nothing to deal with my registration in yelp. My experience was true. In the message, the owner did say if I contact them right after the service, he would offer another service or refund.

Last week, just as the weather was starting to feel like summer, our 18 year old central air conditioning unit died. After determining that it wasn't worth the costly repairs to a system that old, we began getting estimates for a new one. Buckingham not only gave us a better price than anyone else, they helped us get a payment plan that worked for our budget. The installers were polite, professional, and efficient, and the new unit was installed in less than half a day! The general manager, Justin, provided us with great customer service. He made sure that all of our questions were answered, and that we were completely satisfied with the job! We would call them again in a heartbeat!

This company totally swindled us. I had a vibration in the floor of the kitchen when the heat kicked on. They came out and told me our two-year-old unit was basically a piece of junk, they could fix it for $650 (just the parts, mind you), or replace it for $6000. So I made an appointment for them to come out and fix it.
Right before they came, I called York (my heater's brand) and discovered that the parts were completely covered by warranty. When the guy got here with the new parts, I told him this, he acted like the word warranty was a new and foreign term. He got on the phone with his boss. I asked him, if the parts were covered, no cost, what was the $650 for? He told me a myriad of excuses, like gas for the truck to come out and look at it, shipping and handling (!), and then, the ultimate, for things I could not understand. Yes, he really said those words. Finally, finally, after I told him I felt I was being taken for a ride, he said, ""Well, what do you think is a reasonable price?"" Seriously? It was then that I knew beyond everything, that he was robbing me blind. I named half the price, so $325. Mind, that money was strictly for the tech, since the parts were covered. He replaced the fan and motor (there was A MOUSE threaded in the fan blades, which was the problem, removal would surely have fixed the problem) in about 40 minutes. How much is that an hour? Ridiculous. Be very careful.
By the way, I posted this on their website. They took it down. Didn't even contact us.
