In 2014 I had an emergency with sewage pipes backing up into shower - nightmare and on a Sunday. Rang around and somehow got a hold of Steve - turned out he lived around the corner. He showed up within an hour and he did a thorough job with a snake, charged very reasonable rate and was very polite. He had a colleague with him. I have actually been trying to get his number again for last few years and just found a scrap of paper with it now, checked yelp and he matches the description of the other reviewer so I know this is him. Really good work, very fairly priced, quick and helpful. Will use him for my plumbing needs going forwards now that I have found him again.

Hello everybody, drains were clogged and one restroom was non working so I called Big Macs plumbing and showed up when he said and gave me a quote which was very good so he (Steve) the owner, started the work and I called my account to check my balance and I was short for the quote and called my wife to get the difference and her check hadn't cleared yet so as he started on the restroom I told him my problem, expecting the work to stop and I was worried cause the kids need that restroom when Steve kept working and said "" the children need their restroom"" and here's my card just call me when you can don't worry! Who does that in these times? My family will always call Big Mac's for problems with plumbing issues. He completed the job and even did more and didn't charge us for that. Great service and very friendly.i definitely would call if you have an plumbing issue. While he was leaving my neighbor came by to ask about her sink, he told her that if she could show him. And she said while she was showing him the problem he was fixing it and said "" it was just a small thing and have a great night! She tells everyone she can't believe it.

Steve was great. It was Saturday morning and I had an emergency. He came over as soon as he finished feeding his kids breakfast. He was fast, efficient and reasonable, and a real nice guy. He fixed a gas leak at my seismic shut off valve on a Saturday for under a hundred bucks. Would definitely call him again.

I had a running toilet and tried to fix it myself but couldn't. Steve fixed it and made the toilet work better than it ever had before. It doesn't clog anymore. Then he noticed and fixed something I had forgot to mention - knocking pipes. He did a great job at a reasonable price.

At about 9:30 Friday night, I dragged myself into my bathroom, exhausted, having been sick all week and still up working. I desperately needed to take a shower that night, since the next day I'd have to be up and out WAY too early for a Saturday morning acting class up in Studio City. I pulled my shower curtain back and screamed. Thick, crusty black sludge was oozing out of my drain, and seeping everywhere in the bottom of my tub.

All I could think was, ""Please... not now... I wanna go to SLEEP!"" So I tried to rinse it down the drain. Now I had another problem. Black sludge PLUS a clogged drain. The water wouldn't go down.

I texted my landlady. No response.

Taking matters into my own hands, I started yelping, and I found Steve's profile. I got a great vibe, just looking at the picture and reading what the other reviewer had to say about him. I'm glad I did.

Unlike the plumbers my landlady eventually told me she found, who wouldn't be able to come until the next morning (not feasible - I needed to be clean and out of the house by 8am), Steve said ""no problem"" - he'd come right away.

And he did. At 10 o'clock on a Friday night, promising me a very fair price, which he stuck to. (No extras, hidden charges, etc.)

I don't even think it took him a half hour to show up.

He's a terrifically nice man, easy and comfortable to work with, and got the job done in about 10 - 15 minutes. He was even nice enough to rinse and clean out the black sludge that was all over the tub, so after he left, I could just jump in the shower, head up to bed, and crash.

He has now even promised me to write up an invoice (which I didn't get from him in person) and deliver it back to my house in a few days so I can give it to my landlady for reimbursement.

Thank you Steve!! I do so appreciate you coming to my house at 10 pm on a Friday when I know you had better plans to go out and have a few drinks with your buddies! And for taking time out of your day to make a return trip with the invoice so I can get paid back!

As he said, though, he does appreciate a woman who likes to be clean...
