I called Big Johns plumbing several months ago to clear our outside drainage from our back yard. John was so helpful, professional and honest that I am very pleased to leave this review. It was a great experience and I would record him to anyone needing an honest plumber who truly cares for his clients. I couldn't be happier!

Our 1932 bathtub faucet began to leak pretty furiously, so I called the gentleman who gets all the good reviews but--when I finally got hold of him--he said those old fixtures were almost impossible to fix and didn't want to deal with the job. So I called Big John and he sent someone over who was able to repair the leak in very short order and at minimal cost. He even replaced the washer on the nonleaking handle on his own initiative just for good measure. I will certainly call Big John again should I require a plumber's services in the future.

So thankful I found Big Johns Plumbing. They were the only plumber that answered their phone when I called. Linda was very nice on the phone and sent out her Husband John for my toilet emergency. Now I know where the name ""Big John"" comes from. John is huge but seems to be a gentle giant. They fixed me up right away and I'm very thankful for that. Ok, what plumber installs 3 items in kitchen, charges 650 dollars, as soon as he leaves the sink leaks! Because it is not even connected! My elderly parent didn't have a power cord for the dishwasher, so my parent suggests he come back another day. Instead he gives her a list to go get the needed items and stays. Well the dishwasher needed a longer than normal power line, however, he did not tell her this, nor did he say when he left after charging 650, your disherwasher doesn't work because the cord isn't long enough! I like to think that this company would be respectful of others money and time and know that this is not acceptable!!Seriously, if you are a true plumber this should not happen. Oh and the plumber said, you are lucky you got me, this is my specialty! Please avoid hiring people who have no regard for others time money and trust!

Second time using Big John's Plumbing service because I had a clogged sink, this time they sent out a great guy named Willie who right away explained to us the processes and potential issues we were facing. Most plumbers will try once or twice and when they can't get the problem solved they look for more extensive and expensive solutions, Willie on the other hand told us it could potentially be a collapsed pipe but he would keep trying and low and behold he unclogged the pipe with perseverance and elbow grease. We really appreciate the hard work and ESPECIALLY the honesty. Instead of jumping to using the camera which would have cost us around $400 he got the job done for $125. I will definitely use them again in the future for any of my plumbing woes. SHOUT OUT TO WILLIE!

A few days ago, a pipe from our water heater started to leak hot water. Not a drip but a moderate amount. I was freaking out so I found this company through YELP. Excellent reviews which gave me some hope. I called and the person I spoke to gave me several possible diagnoses based on my water heaters ""symptoms."" He gave me an estimate of what I was possibly looking at. He said it may be 3 hours before someone could be here but surprisingly their worker showed up in an hour.
He examined the water heater, temperature, pressure, and correctly diagnosed the problem. He gave me the same quote as the person I talked to on the phone. The total was $225 but I used the YELP coupon($80 for $105) so ended up spending $205. I felt they were competent and would definitely recommend them for plumbing issues.

I needed a tech to come and pressurize my gas system and located a leak, they charged me $285 to do such a thing, other companies charged me $49. I wish I would've called them before calling Big John's plumbing.

The guy that showed up used a broken meter that worked when it wanted to, sometimes it moved, sometimes it stayed stuck even with no pressure. The guy grumbled about not wanting to get a working one from his truck, then he slapped me with a 10k estimate to change out my gas and water pipes when everyone else was far lower than 7k.

I don't recommend this company at all.

Your guy called me directly and told me 10 thousand dollars, so I'm not sure where you got 8200 from, I would've loved to have gotten an 8200 dollar estimate instead of 10K. This right here tells me there's something amiss amongst your ranks, I'm glad this happened now and not after I got stuck with you guys.

Also for $285, (which I agreed to) the guy should've gone back to his van and gotten a meter that works rather than tapping and coaxing his to read correctly, I didn't even get a proper reading from the pressure as the meter didn't work.
