LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Big John's plumbing is the BEST hands down. I will never call anyone else this is my go to plumbing company for life. I called Big John's Plumbing for a clogged shower drain that was giving me problems. I spoke with Linda over the phone. She was very kind, helpful, friendly, and able to set up an appointment for me ASAP. A tech came out to my house right away. Kerry was AWESOME!!!! He was fast, efficient, friendly, clean, professional, knowledgeable, respectful, reliable, punctual, and most important very honest. Kerry quickly assessed and fixed the problem. He also gave me great advice on how to preserve my brand new toilet. Kerry went above and beyond all my expectations. Water heater broke and after numerous calls to other repair companies and numerous run around I settled for this company. I called at 1 pm and there tech showed up promptly at the time they said 430pm. Didn't give me hustle and bustle nor did he try to sell me a new one. Respectful and very professional. Gave me advice on what to watch out for and good price. It took him 1 hour. Gave me a warranty and shook my hand. That's hard to find. Definitely will use them again.

So I hadn't had water for almost a week due to my water heater leaking. I checked Yelp and stumbled across Big Johns Plumbing and read some fantastic reviews. I called. I too spoke with Linda that was very friendly and empathetic to my situation. I told her I had a crazy schedule and would need a late appointment... A late appointment on a Friday night to boot. She made it happen! Kerry came out and replaced it in a matter of an hour! He was professional, friendly, fast, and I now have hot water! I told him I'd recommend him and this company! I'm very pleased!

We called Big John's about a leaky faucet in the roman tub in the master bathroom and were immediately told, based on the information given, that it was the cartridge. We got a quote (which was high compared to other quotes but they were able to come out before all the others we called) and made an appointment.
Visit number 1: The plumber that showed up was extremely nice but said he couldn't get the faucet handle off and needed a special tool. Because my boyfriend had tried to mess with it before calling out a plumber, he knew exactly how to remove them and showed him. The special tool needed: a phillips head screwdriver. This should have been a cue to thank him and have him leave but we wanted the constantly dripping water to stop. He left to buy the tool to remove the cartridge (something I would think a plumber should already have if this a was the expected problem and b was so common they could diagnose it over the phone). Away he went. He came back and removed the cartridge and went back to the store to buy the cartridges. Once finished, the problem was not fixed. In fact, it was significantly worse. The drip drip drip of the faucet became a steady stream of water. We were told a hole would need to be cut in the ceiling downstairs to access the pies to fix it.
We called and set up for John to come out and look at it since the problem was worse. Visit number 2: He put new cartridges in again and the problem was still there so he put in valves to stop the flow of the constant flow of water. At least we had a temporary fix. He told us the parts had a life time warranty and ordered them.
An appointment was made for a plumber to come back on a Thursday after the parts came in. Or so we thought. The Wednesday before, a plumber showed up.
Visit number 3: A different plumber arrives and opens the box of parts. He takes all the parts out and starts work. After about an hour and a half, he says he has to come back because he doesn't have the right tool. REALLY? Don't you know exactly the job to be done? So, now, the water is off to the tub (that we use every night to bathe our daughter) and an appointment is set for 4:30 the next day.
Visit number 4: So, 4:30 comes and goes and nothing. Finally, around 6:15, a knock on the door. Yet another plumber comes in and goes to work. After about 20 minutes, the plumber comes down and has to go to Home Depot. I am now truly baffled! Do these people not carry the tools to do their job? Is our faucet the first time they have encountered this brand? It's a pretty common brand (Moen) and if they know the job that needs to be done, how are they not prepared with the tools needed? Very frustrated with this situation. The last time we needed a plumber we called because of a leak. He came out, looked at it and fixed it within 45 minutes (including cutting and patching the dry wall). No trips to Home Depot needed. While they were very nice I do not believe that they were competent or equipped to do the job. I found the number to the other plumber and will keep it handy in case we need another plumber in the future.
