Big Jay was recommended by a friend to help us with some minor work after our remodel. He was quick and reliable and very reasonable. We had an issue this week with a recirculating pump. He came to the rescue again. We are very pleased with his work and recommend him highly!

Called him out to fix what we thought was a hose bib problem and turned out we also had a problem with an anti-siphon valve. He didn't have the part at the time and said he was coming back out the following Tuesday, however there was a miscommunication and he apparently said Thursday. Well when I called the following Tuesday to find out if he was coming he stated that he had come by the previous Thursday (we weren't home) and that we would need to find another plumber because his time is valuable. I find it amusing because on his website he states ""most important to me is good personal customer service- giving good service and building relationships."" He will be losing the business of our family members as well that have used him in the past after this situation.

Over the last seven years, Big Jay has fixed our water heater, a leak inside the wall of our shower, a broken pipe in our attic (an AC guy stepped on it), the pipe to our outdoor watering system, two of our toilets, and three of our sinks and faucets. He is always friendly, on time, and reasonably priced. I remember the first time we called, he quoted $200 and charged $180 because he said the job hadn't required a new part after all; another plumber had quoted $540 for the same job. Things WORK after he leaves! A craftsman, in the old sense of the word.

I texted him about something that I

Big J performed a plumbing job for us. He installed 3 new faucets and a water filtration system. It seemed like a difficult job but he worked really hard and efficiently. He had to come up with some parts from his truck and he seemed really well prepared and knew how to solve the problem.
His prices were very fair and he is a really nice man.

we had used big j plumbing previously so called him back when we were replacing 3 toilets. he quoted us a price which ended up being double - over $600 just to install them! two of the toilets had manufacturer defects but he still installed them - didn't bother checking them and he was the one who took them out of the boxes. when we told him about them he said he wanted nothing to do with it. we went back to the supplier central az plumbing supply and they had the toilets replaced at no cost to us. we asked the plumber who did the reinstallation what he would have charged for the initial installation and his response (not knowing what we had been charged) was between $250 and $300. this was very unfortunate because we did not expect this from big j with all the reviews and recommendations.

This review is not just for Big J plumbing company, but for the kindness of the man him self. My wife and I were broken down on the 101 today. He was the only person out of the thousands of ""people"" to stop and see if we were ok and needed help. He took time out of his day to have a heart for complete strangers. In what most of these ""people"" in scottsdale lack. After a few helpful tips from him, my wife and I both looked at each other and said, ""we know who to call if we ever have plumbing issues!"" Big thank you from us both. It made our day a lot better because of you!
