At this point, we've hired Big Guy For Hire twice to move within Ann Arbor. My partner and I have been incredibly pleased with them. I typically disassemble everything beforehand and box most things up and stage everything so it's easily accessible (and get the rental truck lined up), so BGFH only needs to do the heavy lifting/loading. Both times, my partner and I agree that they are worth the price. If we move in the future, they will continue to be our go-to movers.

We worked with Big Guy For Hire to load our pod in Michigan for a long-distance move to New York. John was great with communication in the lead-up to our job, and our three loaders arrived on time (even a little early) and were friendly and efficient throughout the whole process. We got the supplies in advance that John recommended (moving blankets, rope/twine, and tape) to make the loading process easier. We had a lot of items (including 5 drum sets!) and were amazed that our stuff all fit in the 16' pod and arrived safely here in NY. We would highly recommend John's company for anyone who needs moving and loading assistance.

I used Big Guy for Hire just today for my move and I could not have been more pleased. They called when they were about a half hour away and when they arrived got right to work. They were quick and very careful with my belongings. They secured my things very well in the truck and nothing moved an inch in the almost 40 mile ride. They unloaded everything right where we asked them too and even put my bed back together. Their rates are also extremely reasonable. I hope I never have to move again but if I do they will be first and only call and I will recommend them to anyone who asks. Thanks for everything!

Great group of guys. They are so nice and professional. They were running late due to finishing up a job from the day before and keep me well informed. We had a 27 ft truck filled to the top and they completed it along with setting up the beds and dinning room table in less than 3 hours. The charge by the hour and they were well worth every penny plus more. I will definitely hire them again and advise my friends to do the same. Thanks guys!!

Big Guy for Hire was great! My fiance and I are preparing to move across the country and needed help loading our belongings into a UPack cube.

My fiance made a quote request on Yelp after hours and got an email within half an hour. John had set up a phone call for the next morning and helped us with figuring out what we would need and where to get affordable supplies. We also had to last minute change our move date and they were able to accommodate us within their schedule after one of their big moves.

On the day of the move we met Jack & Chris who were very friendly, professional and so fun to work with. They made the stress of moving go away! We had two UPack cubes just in case we needed both but their Tetris skills came in handy and they were able to fit everything into one, saving us a large chunk of money as we only pay for what we use.

We're very happy with the service and would recommend anyone within the area use Big Guy for Hire for their next move. :)

The guys at Big Guy For Hire made a stressful move easier. As soon as I requested a quote via Yelp, I got an email within half an hour. John set up a phone call for the next morning (I sent the initial request after business hours). During our call, he got details of what we needed and gave advice on what types of supplies I should get to make things run smoothly (including information on where I could find those things the cheapest). When I needed to change my reservation after I booked their services, they were flexible, even though they had a big job booked the same day.

We were met by Jack and Chris on the day of the move. They were friendly, fun to work with, and efficient. Best of all, they saved us a lot of money. We used UPack Relocubes, where they deliver two storage units but you only pay for what you use. Jack and Chris put their furniture Tetris skills to the test and were able to securely put all our things into just one cube.

The movers in our new town will have a lot to live up to. We'd absolutely recommend Big Guy For Hire to anyone looking for efficient, friendly, and affordable moving services.

I had some furniture that needed to be moved back into my house after having my floors done and these guys did an excellent job. Scheduling was extremely easy and they were able to get a crew out the day after I called. The price was very reasonable, and commensurate with the size of the job (other companies charged ridiculously high minimum fees). They were very responsive and polite and respectful with my things and I would gladly hire them again and recommend them. (Note: They don't have a truck, so if you need a truck, that will have to be rented separately, but even with that extra charge, their prices are still very reasonable.)
