Jiyang C.My wife and I hired Eric on two occasions, and both time he did an outstanding job. There first time he installed a hot water heater in the garage in 90 degree heat in the summer. Second time he helped us diagnose a dishwasher that wasn't draining. I highly recommend Eric!
Responsive service and problem was solved. Eric also went the extra mile to be sure all areas were tight and secure. He is pleasant and efficient. I will call him the next time i need a plumber for anything
Chase M.Eric came out and repaired a fairly substantial leak in my irrigation system, on a Saturday!. Knowledgeable, friendly and knows his stuff. Fair prices and upfront with qoutes.
Kelly M.Eric is very good at what he does fixed my powder room toilet and no problems! He responds right away to text or call, Professional, knowledgeable, shows up on time and gets the job done. Highly recommended
Thank you Eric!
Eric did a fabulous job fixing a toilet problem in our high end hi-rise. He answered the phone instantly and came out to fix the toilet that afternoon. Very knowledgeable and his fee was exactly what he quoted. Would definitely use Big Bear Plumbing again! Adrian
Donna B.My property is older and I'm still not familiar with its quirks. A totally clogged sink on a Saturday isn't ideal.
I jumped on Yelp trying to find a company in my neighborhood hoping it would make the call a little cheaper. This was the first company to answer my call. I would still have to wait about four hours as he was already pretty busy for a Saturday. He did give me a 20 minute heads up call that he was in his way - pretty darn close to his estimate time. He came in and started right away. Thankfully after waiting a while the totally full sink had slowly drained, so when he took the pipes apart I didn't have a ton of water for him to have to control. I was afraid it was the garbage disposal, and I hate them. Just plain terrified of them. Nope it was good, it was the elbow after the disposal. After he cleared it all and put it back together he double checked the dishwasher to make sure it wasn't backing up. Total time - 40 minutes, $90. Not bad for Saturday service.
Jeff M.I had a leak with my garden hose faucet on the backside of the house I called Eric to see if could assist. He setup an appointment with me the next day and absolutely knocked it out! Super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and just a very professional guy with excellent workmanship.
The price for the job was fair and he was in and out in about an hour and a half since he had to get down into the crawl space and do some soldering.
Thanks again, Eric. You're amazing at what you do and will be a repeat customer for all my plumbing needs!
Ian K.Big Bear is great! Fast response time, professional quality service, and fair pricing. Since moving into our new place we've used Big Bear to run a water line to a new fridge, clear a drainage pipe, and repair an irrigation system. More plumbing issues than we wanted but at least we had the friendliest and best professional around to help. Highly recommend Big Bear!
Duke M.PLEASE READ. I never write reviews, but DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER. After spending many frustrating hours digging up my main sprinkler valve that was leaking, I called to have a plumber show up and change the valve. I requested a phone call to let me know he was on his way, which I did not receive. He showed up in an unmarked truck, got out, looked at my hole then requested a bucket of water and a steel brush to clean the valve off, which had rust build up from the years of leaking. It's not the customers responsibility to provide the tools for a job in which you hire someone to do for you. I asked about the valve replacement that I wanted and he said he couldn't do that today, but it would cost $1000. This is WAY OVER what I was even quoted by other plumbing companies around town. He jumped down the hole and used the rag that, I had to provide, because he doesn't have any, and tightened the nut on the top of the valve, which stopped the leak. HE WAS AT MY HOUSE FOR A TOTAL OF 7 MINUTES AND THEN TOLD ME, HE'S DONE AND THAT THE CHARGE WAS $85!!!!!!!!! I could of tightened up the top nut my self!!!!!! And that's not even what I wanted done! He IMMEDIATELY changed his price from $1000 to $500 to change the valve, after me telling him I wasn't happy with his service and he was double the price of anyone else. He tried to write me an invoice on the same generic type of legal pad you can get at Office Depot, then said this service was complimentary after my complaints. He left, circled the block, then came back and told me my valve was fine and all I need to do was buy a different valve handle (mine was broke). BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER! He sounds good on the phone, but HE WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF AND WHO KNOWS IF HE IS EVEN LICENSED, BONDED AND INSURED.
I always give credit to business owners who attempt to rectify estimated or completed work that was not satisfactory. Eric attempted to rectify my complaint about his hostile attitude and snappish behavior when he came to my house to give us an estimate on work that needed to be completed. However, by his own words regarding my first complaint, he has demonstrated he is absolutely oblivious as to how he treated us because he thought my review about him was about someone else's complaint about him!!!
Eric did not refuse to do service for us, he refused to treat us with respect, dignity, and kindness. Which is exactly why we did not hire him to do the work. The work one does always goes hand in hand with the treatment a business person gives to customers.
As a teacher to future business leaders, I tell my students who will be owners/managers, to always ASK the customer, ""How can I fix the problem or make you happy?"" In addition with an apology...a justification for behavior is NOT an apology. There are always limitations for rectifications, but more often than not when the customer feels as though their feelings are important and considered, that customer will actually become a loyal customer for life. This personal experience will be one I will share with my current and future students.
The fact that someone who is giving an estimate to a possible new customer is literally clueless as to how they treat you and thinks it ANOTHER customer they have mistreated says a lot about their level or lack thereof of customer service...A LOT.
