Big Bear Home Maintenance installed a water heater. They showed up when scheduled. Angel and Dema did the work, they were in full communication with me during the install, excellent work and fully cleaned up.

I was quoted a very fair price to fix my very ugly wall heater. Given an appointment time. Right on time, right on budget. My heater doesn't even look ugly anymore!! LOL Couldn't be more happy. Will use again for sure.

UPDATE: he messaged me the next day blaming his new AI assistant for not getting messages and apologized profusely, so I gave him another chance. I considered deleting this review but decided to wait until the work is complete. Glad I did! He rescheduled me to the next day, never showed up, I had to message him to follow up, and then he'd apologize and say he'll come tomorrow. We did this song and dance 3 days in a row and in the end he completely stopped responding. I've never dealt with a worse and less reliable company. I wasted a week because I was trying to give this guy a chance. BIG mistake. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

Review not based on quality of work, but based on communication. Got ghosted.

Found them through Facebook posts because I needed someone to do work all around the house (fix door alignment, air vent, sliding door, etc). They were mentioned multiple times on people's posts so I thought that would be a good indication.

IMed them through Facebook and they gave me an hourly quote and directed me to book an appointment online. I booked that appointment and no one ever confirmed anything. So I message them again to make sure we're confirmed. They say yes and that's it. Day of appointment no one showed. So I call the number on their website 30 mins later and Jesse says he'll swing by. Walks through and gives me an estimate and says he'll come back in the morning to do the work. So I change my schedule and stay an extra day (I don't live here full time). Again, no one shows up. I call, I text. Nothing. Worst part of it all is that I can see they read my texts.

The communication has been awful and a complete waste of time. And everyone I talk to says this is normal in the mountains, which sucks. It gives people who work hard and are reliable a bad reputation.

Jesse and his team were hired to correct and complete a disastrous job that was done by a prior incompetent contractor. I was shocked at how fast and efficiently they were able to complete the job.

The Job entailed the correction of a poorly sloped concrete slab, finishing an incomplete retaining wall, rerouting conduit for spa electrical, adding a privacy fence, adding lighting along the privacy fence, building a cable railing, and repairing damages to our neighbors yard done by the previous contractor.

He and his team truly showed how an exceptional contractor should perform his work for a reasonable price! He has definitely set a high standard and I will be using him for all my projects moving forward.

I hired Jesse and Tyler to install the electrical circuit for my spa but half way during the installation he said that they actually do not have a license and asked me to pay for their license. Mistake on me there for not asking for hard proof before hiring them. He then installed the circuit less than 5ft away from the spa so the city inspection did not pass. I asked him to fix it since they guaranteed that their installation will pass but he simply just ignored me. I ended up hiring a different licensed technician to finish his ""guaranteed"" work. Not to mentioned that they took an eternity to do the job but are so quick to ask for payments. They do sound friendly and nice at first when they give you a free estimate but once you're signed on with him, expect delay and excuses to start the job. Their company mentions ""trust in God"" but they do not go by God's word...

We had them replace the wall heater at our cabin. It was a tricky switchout but they got it handled quickly and even upgraded the thermostat in the process.
The new heater works great and we are very thankful for the quick install before the holiday season!

I have been a part time resident of Big Bear Lake since early 2020. I rent my place out when I am not there. It's been so hard to find people to come fix issues that pop up in a timely manner, since someone's vacation is on the line if I can't get a problem fixed before they arrive. Some of my issues have been small, but some have been VERY big.

Jesse and his team at Big Bear Home Mainenance and Repair are the only people I have worked with on the mountain who have ALWAYS showed up, always done great work, and always guarenteed their work.

I have hired other people who charged less, and been quite dissapointed with the outcome and usually been left in the dark with no follow up or phone calls.

I trust Jesse, and for me, that says a lot. Highly recommend! He is my first call for plumbing, electrical, water intrusion and so much more!
