Eddie from B&C was very helpful in making suggestions for the predicament I had with regard to what appears to be a broken drain line in the bathroom. He went above and beyond in trying to diagnose the problem.

The only company that responded to our late night call. We are so appreciative of your quick response and quality of work you provided our family during our emergency need. Was recommended by a neighbor which already gave me the heads up, ""May not be the cheapest, but we have always been 100% satisfied."" You truly get what you pay for with this company and we feel that it was worth every penny. Thanks again for your help.

Had a water heater flush for maintenance purposes, and a water softener checkup. Discovered our 13 year old water softener was not working properly thereby causing water pressure issues. Problem was quickly diagnosed, options were presented, and work was completed the following day. Our tech was a young man named Matthew E and he was excellent in every regard. Super courteous, extremely conscientious, and happily answered our endless questions. Learned more from Matthew than 30 years of SEVERAL other plumbers who didn't care to be bothered with customer questions. Work was done quickly and efficiently and all our issues resolved. Very happy with our experience and plan in using B&C again. Thanks Matthew, you are truly a credit to your profession and also to your employer!!!

Matt came out to help with a leak in the kitchen. He did a great job figuring out the problem and fixing it. We're very pleased with Biard and Crockett!

My toilet overflowed and drenched the house the first day I came home from the hospital. He was able to fix everything and I am so grateful. I will be redoing that bathroom ASAP and will have them installing sink and a new toilet. I have used them quite often and always the best.

B&C was contracted to diagnose a furnace not working. Fan was not coming on. They responded with a tech next day. Initially said the motor capacitor was old and not meeting specs and should be replaced. It would be a low expense repair, after chasing down the part. Then they discovered that the control board was ""probably"" bad. Tech stated that his supervisor informed him the unit's manufacture was out of business, and no parts were available. Tech stated that he was gathering info for complete replacement of HVAC system, and would have quote same day and could begin the work immediately.
While he was crunching numbers for his $ 9K quote, I looked the control board part number up online and found it available locally in stock. B&C stated that the internet does not normally prove to be accurate, when it comes to parts and there availability. Informed B&C that I would be seeking a second opinion. Never did hear from them again.
Contacted SoCal Airflow Pros, Aubrey was dispatched next day, and diagnosed the control board did in fact have burn spot on the circuit board.
He inquired to local parts supplier of availability, and returned in 30 mins with new control board, installed and tested thoroughly. The furnace is now working just like new.
2 hours labor and control board part were 96% less than B&C diagnosis of full replacement of HVAC system ""guess"".
In summary, I sought a repair company, found a ""Full Replacement"" firm pretending to be a service company, did basic research myself, and then found a true service company in SoCal Airflow. Both companies probably met industry and company profit margin expectations in different methods. One offered ""sales"", and the other ""service"".
Will be writing review of SoCal Airflow next. It will be 96% better than this one, with different result - Satisfied client!

Called these people out to diagnose a non-working furnace. They told me the control board was out but that the furnace was made by quattro which is no longer in business and there are no parts. They told me basically I needed to replace the entire furnace and would give me a quote for that.
Did some internet sleuthing and discovered that quattro was indeed out of business but had been bought by Texas Furnaces. I called Texas Furnaces and gave them the model number and learned that they still sell parts for the unit.
I called back the Baird and Crockett technician, Luis and told him what I found and he said he would follow up but never heard back from him and didn't return my phone calls.
I then found SoCal Airflow from Yelp and called them and explained the situation. They sent out a technician Aubrey who confirmed the control board was out but said the part was in stock. It was not a cheap part but way less than the cost of replacing the furnace.
Not only did I not want to bear the cost of replacing the whole furnace at this time but more importantly, when I do, I will replace both the furnace and AC with a heat pump so replacing the existing furnace made no sense.
I'm OK with a tech telling me a system is old and should be replaced, but fooling me into thinking that is the only option crosses a red line.
The lesson is clear. When someone tells you that a unit can't be repaired because there are no parts, check the internet. I recommend calling HVAC Plus as they sell directly to consumers. Give them the make model and serial # and you can quickly find out if the part actually exists. In fact even if the tech admits one exists, if they quote you a high price you can check with these people to see what it really costs them.

I tried to fix my dripping faucet myself but wasn't able to. They set up an appointment right away and Matt the plumber was great. He was courteous and prompt and answered all my questions. I would be happy to recommend them and use Biard and Crockett in the future.

So the promised check for a partial reimbursement did not come, apparently I was instead offered a 1-year free family club plan -- not interested. I still feel that the $924 bill for minor repairs to two bathroom sinks was outrageous, and will be going elsewhere from now on.

great to find a plumbing company we can rely on.They are very prompt and courteous.
Eric found and accurately located where the plug was occurring. He then had Marcelo ? and his crew jackhammer our kitchen floor after making sure everything was covered and kept as clean as possible. after the section of pipe was replaced the line was snaked and flushed to insure it was functioning correctly. Also we were not pressured to have more plumbing done and that was a great selling point for us. Will highly recommend them.
