Do yourself a favor and don't waste time by looking for other plumbers, just get Tsanko to help you. He was magnificent! Just magnificent! He showed up precisely on time, he fixed all my problems, identified problems that I didn't even know I had and fixed them too (for FREE!!!)!

I've lived in the bay area since 1986. I've tried many "5-star" plumbers. None compare to this man. Trust me on this. He is simply incomparable!

Yelp considers five stars to mean "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" and that pretty much sums up our experience with Tsanko and BG Plumbing. We have a plumber who has done previous work for us but he works mostly in commercial plumbing and his schedule has always been a problem, but we needed somebody NOW. So we checked Yelp, and after reading his MANY excellent reviews, we called Tsanko. He came the same day, crawled under the house (ick), fixed the issue and charged a very reasonable fee. He showed us the "pin hole" in the copper elbow fitting that caused the problem. I highly, highly recommend him. Polite, professional, knowledgable, and reasonable rates. Tsanko is now our go-to plumber!!

Awesome service. Tsanko came in and knew exactly what was wrong based on my description of the problem (ie. warm water coming from a cold tap). He explained in details the risks and walked me through step by step what he was doing. Efficient and honest. I think I found my new "go to" plumber for all my future issues.

I live in Avalon area in Fremont and had a leaky shower facuet. Due to aging parts, I couldn't open the control Panel/Handle set to access and replace the dammaged valve myself. So I called a 5-star rated Plumbing company. The plumber came and quoted $ XXX to fix it. After my OK, he tried but couldn't open it either. He suggested to knock open the wall behind it in the bed room to access the control valve. The cost is $975, much higher than I expect.

I declined and called BG Plumbing. An answering machine was on and I left message. Tsanko called me 30 minutes later and set appointment next morning. He arrived on time, took a look, tried standard tool and couldn't open it either. He went back to his truck and had a special tool set and opened it and fix the problem right away. He paid attention to very small details, oiled the stucking parts to prevent problem next time, and cleaned everything after. Tsanko charged me 30% less than the XXX price from the first plumber. Tsanlo said he spent less time than normal and gave me a discount.

I'm very pleased not just cost saving, my Bed room wall is also saved from a 12" x 24" patched area. I give BG Plumbing a 5-Star rating. December, 2013 by CK

When you're looking for a plumber, you try and find someone that you think will be honest, fair, and then will do a good job. Tsanko is all of these things. I hired to replace my water heater with a tankless system. The tankless system was clearly the bigger and more expensive job, but Tsanko talked me out of that because it just wasn't necessary for the house and usage that we have. That's honesty. He replaced the water heater with another tank instead. It works great. He also pointed out some small things that he put in place to prevent problems in the future. That's a great job. I'm now looking for other jobs that he can do for me. I highly recommend him.

Tsanko and his assistant just left my house after doing an emergency replacement of a 50-gal water heater. We discovered it was leaking last night, and had basically turned into a mini-garage flood by this morning.

I called BG Plumbing at 10AM today. Tsanko said he thought he could make his schedule work to take care of me at 2PM. He started to explain what water heaters he works with and why and etc., which I greatly appreciated, but frankly I said, "I really like that you're giving me this opportunity to make a choice, but I'd rather trust you. You're the professional. Please get me the best 50-gallon tank that you know is reliable and will last." Boom. Done.

Tsanko was polite, helpful, educational, and made the process so easy for me. He was patient with my questions, which were numerous and some were even unrelated to the job at hand. He even took his shoes off when he walked in my house to bleed the lines of air.

I was impressed with owner Tsanko's professionalism and honesty. He returned my call promptly and showed up exactly at the appointed time. He evaluated a leak in our crawl space, and deduced it wasn't a plumbing but a drainage problem from the yard. And he didn't charge for his time and efforts - so nice! I'll definitely call him for our next plumbing problem and have already recommended him to neighbors.

we were trying to become more energy efficient, so we decided to install a tankless water heater. we selected BG plumbing based on the numerous 5 star reviews posted on yelp. Tsanko (the company owner) agreed to travel from Fremont to Los Gatos to give us an estimate.

it only took Tsanko a few moments to determine that a tankless water heater would not be in our best interest. (we have galvinized pipes, which he explained do not work well with tankless heaters).

we feel badly that this was basically a wasted trip for him. but we appreciate his professionalism and honesty. we didn't know that tankless water heaters and galvinized pipes don't work out well. he easily could have done the work for us and collected the money and left us with a less than ideal situation.

but he didn't, and for his honesty we are grateful. when our old water heater needs to be replaced, we will definitely give him a call.

If you are faced with a challenging plumbing work call these guys. They gave me a reasonable estimate(was not the cheapest) , kept their appointment and finished the job in time. The quality of their work was very good.

If you're trying to decide whether to DIY or call this guy, save yourself the time (and shame of failure), put down the wrench (plunger?) and dial that number.

I like to consider myself pretty handy, so when the sink needed fixin' I took on the (seemingly) simple job. A week and a dismembered sink later, we gave in and called BG Plumbing and were given a reasonable quote over the phone.

This guy was nice and professional.There's a good reason he's so highly rated on Yelp (that's how we found him). He didn't even mock us for our failure, just explained how he did in a few minutes what took us days of trying (I'm sure we loosened it for him). He even had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy a special tool for the job, but despite that, he stuck to the amount he quoted over the phone. Good guy, good deal.
