Tony is absolutely the best plumber I have ever dealt with. He is extremely knowledgeable and EBMUD inspectors know and work well with him. He is one of the plumbers that they really trust when doing inspections. I am very grateful that I met him. I called Tony in a bit of a panic on a Friday afternoon. A different plumber/sewer rooter company had given me a run around and tried to charge me for sequential and increasingly expensive fees to ""clear"" an obviously broken sewer main/lateral that definitely needed to be replaced urgently. Only after failing to clear the line and demanding payment did this other plumber tell me that it would be at least 4-6 weeks before permits could be obtained to allow them to replace the line. Thankfully there are honest, knowledgeable, kind experts (Tony at a Beyond Plumbing, Inc) who are really there to help. Tony made phone calls to the permits department, the folks at the city who mark the street's gas and water lines, his crew members, and probably a few others. By mid day on Monday (less than one full business day!!!!) I had a new city approved sewer line. I cannot say enough good things about this company's professionalism, expertise, and kindness. I had a water leak underneath my Master Bathroom for quite a while there after posting numerous available plumbers on Yelp; Beyond Plumbing responded within 30 minutes of being able to come out to my home within the next day. Bottomline they repaired my water leak by replacing legacy galvanized pipe with copper. They were very responsive and completed the project very thoroughly and within a reasonable cost point.

Tony at Beyond Plumbing really helped me as an owner builder to sort through the quagmire of the City of Oakland permitting process. He took the time to understand what is going on with my project and take personal calls with my questions when other companies didn't have the patience to care. He is a really nice guy and takes pride in his work. I hired him for the EBMUD certificate also and we passed but not at first. It took him team working a bit extra to help it pass, but they pulled through and I was able to pass. His quote was a little higher than other companies but I decided to go with him as he was willing to talk with me about my project and help me navigate the Department of Transportation permitting.
