This company was contracted by Home Depot to install 3 hvac units at my triplex. They began work on January 2016 and ended in February 2017. They along with Home Depot company put the HVAC units on our roof which was not approved or permitted by the city. When Beutler was asked to remove the units and place them on the ground they became unprofessional and resisted following city inspectors instructions. This arrogant behavior of Beutler left our property uninhabitable for 1 year. I do not know why Home Depot would engage in a contracts with Beutler they do shoddy and incomplete work which is part of the reason the inspector did not sign off on the permit for the original installation. Beutler tried to refuse to work with governing authority which in my case was the City Zoning and Permitting. Because Beutler was contracted by Home Depot they are protected by Home Depot in case of trying to recoupe in kind of lose revenue from our property. As a consumer getting contacted work from Home Depot be sure to find out who they are contracting with to complete the job, so you can research them and not get stuck with a company like Beutler who has one of the worst work records in Sacramento and Better Business Bureau. I give them one star but they deserve ZERO!

Saw a coupon for 59$ tune up on A/C ,my neighbors use them and sense my a/c just started not blow cold thought I would call them to come out for the tune up, so did talk to them explained that I wanted the 59$ A/C tuned up due to it not feeling its blowing enough cold air they didnt State not going with a tune up or recommending going with a diagnostic instead so they scheduled the apt to come out and they did nothing i feel for 59$. The guy came he told me hes here to do the tune up asked whats going on told him ,so he hooked up pressure gage to out door A/C unit and said the system is low on Freon he can put it in but would cost additional 295$ and for leak test or do a whole system change. He did take pictures of indoor unite evap coil said was rusy , this was all visual and those were my options. I feel the tune wasnt done or a right diagnostic that they said was done instead of a tune up which was stated would of been 89$ but gave it to me for 59$ . They wanted to come back later in evening to talk about financing options. Dosnt a diagnostic test intell confriming the leak see the leak and confirming the system dosent work ?? He worte on the invoice that the system is operational so why not do the tune up? nothing was worked on it was all visually inspected .Im i wrong to ask for my money back i feel unsatisfied. I new my system wasnt blowing as cold it works thats why i called to tune it up.

I have had Beutler come out to our house multiple times, but my experience with our technician, Ian Stewart, was beyond our expectations. We could tell he really knew what he was doing and that he cared about the issues at hand. He gave us plenty of options at the end of his diagnosis and a clear explanation of what was in need of repairing/cleaning.

Night and day. Our 2013-installed AC unit developed a problem in March. Specifically, the fan function would often run for hours after the AC reduced the indoor temp, although the setting was 'auto'. We turned to the service department for help and on May 31, a tech arrived. He punched a few buttons on the thermostat, cycled the AC a couple times, and indicated we should be fine. Then a bill for $89.00.
That evening the fan ran for 12 hours. I called and specifically requested a followup visit. This time Andrew arrived, and knew exactly what he was doing. He looked at the venting system and said, ""I've got it."" The Smart vent motor had failed, so the fan was simply recirculating the warm household air. Unfortunately, he said the motor was not covered by warranty, since Beutler had only billed us for the conversion at the time of installation, and not the motor.
Conclusion--Pro. We finally got a capable tech who knew the system he was dealing with. Con--Sending a tech initially who simply had no clue and billing us $89.00 for his ineptitude. Yet to be determined--Whether Beutler will agree to reimbursing us for the PGE excess electrical costs we incurred while the fan kept running.

What a disappointment and waste of our time. I called Beutler for a new heating & air system estimate a few days ago. They set an appointment for today and said both decision makers in the house needed to be home. We took time out of work and waited around and they never showed up. When I called they put me on hold for a long time and then said they were sorry, the person who was supposed to do the estimate never got the page. A page? It's not like it was a last-minute request. They offered to reschedule but I said no. If they can't even get out to do an estimate when they said they will, why would I want them to put in a new system?

The company is a ripoff!!!!! I live in Elk Grove. When I called the lady on the phone told me she did not know the price for a clogged kitchen sink, but there would be a $79 dollar diagnostic fee. When the man came into my house he had the receipt already written up for $297.00. Before he even did anything he went over the price that I would be charged. They know the price before coming out they will not tell you it over the phone. I had to end up paying $79 for him to step into my house and have me sign a receipt of decline. I Don't recommend this company, there are better company out there.

Last fall I signed up and prepaid for the HSP preventative maintenance plan. Beutler advises each spring and each fall before you start using your air conditioner, furnace, or other heating system, you should get a tune up to ensure your HVAC system is ready for the season. I called today for the Spring HVAC inspection and was advised the first opportunity to schedule is in August! Appears prepay preventive customers go to the back of the line.

Stay away from Beutler! They make promises that they do not honor. I arranged an appointment, took time off of work and waited for the technician who never came. They never called to say they could not come- they just blew the appointment off because they had ""other emergencies"". I also had an AC system put in from them last year- they did not bring the propane connector, they did not bring the right thermostat and their work required remediation as it flunked county inspection. They are a huge PAIN to deal with and try to sell you plumbing inspections you do not need. There are lots of choices out there- VOTE WiTH YOUR DOLLARS and stay away from Beutler-- find someone else!

Ernesto was fantastic and explained everything well and gave me options. He educated me on how my AC/Heat works and was very well mannered. this guy is a valuable employee!

Well this update of my previous reviews is a long time in coming. We had a lot of issues with the previous corporation and the installed ""Aqua Chill"" air conditioner and things continued to get worse. Not only that there were no energy savings as promised after installation during the three years we had the unit.
Now along comes a true hero in the form of the new general manager ""Jim Anderberg"". Even though it had been three years since the initial installation Jim went to bat for us and helped us to replace the problematic Aqua Chill with a new American Standard air conditioner. He gave us a choice of any of the comparable sized units on the market and after researching on line and phone calls to repair persons I chose to have the American Standard installed. The new unit was installed in September of 2015. There was no additional cost to us for parts or labor.
Now after running the unit a full summer and with no issues I want to take the time to thank Jim Anderberg for making customer service job 1.
Additionally we notice that the new unit is actually more energy efficient going over the energy bills.
