Needed a sewer lateral replacement on my house in Richmond in May 2020. Got bids from 10-15 different replacement companies. Better Rooter's was a very competitive bid, and ultimately I went with them after reading Yelp reviews. Response time is superb. Work was done faster than estimated, high quality. Everyone involved was very kind and professional. Receipts and certificate of compliance followed promptly. Never had to worry. Highly recommended.

Recently Better Rooter replaced our sewer lateral with a trenchless system from the house all the way to the City main connection.

The job was priced very competitively, and the work was completed as scheduled in one day, with great project management, a friendly crew, and immediate clean up. Permits with the City of Oakland, and EBMUD, were handled with no fuss and some ""extras"" were included that were not provided by other estimates. Other estimates had base prices with stipulations for added costs, while Better Rooter gave a single price that covered everything.

Alex is very easy to work with, straightforward, and honors his commitments.

I called Jacques because I suspected that my dryer had been installed improperly and the seller was giving me the runaround. Jacques showed up on time in just a couple of hours. He confirmed that it was not the installation but a defective product. It eased my mind tremendously and he didn't even charge me!

He just replaced our water heater a week ago and was then on time as well. He worked fast and was very honest. He's on my speed dial now!

This guys are amazing! I'm business owner my self and I know how to recognize a good business. I had at list 5 other companies that came to give me a bid. They didn't try to sell me anything I don't need. They gave me the best price and gave me small discount so I can stay on budget. They could do it in the next week, didn't had to wait month like all other companies. They did all permits for me. It's been 6 months now and no problems at all. Come on time and finish one day earlier. What else can you ask? Highly recommended. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere.

Unlike many other companies, they use the camera to inspect the line for free to give you a much more accurate estimate. They were professional and did an amazing job. They found a bigger issue midway through and found an alternative plan which did not raise the cost. I certainly recommend these guys.

I call them to repair 3 toilets 1 toilet only need it to be tightened so he did a good job with that. The other 2 toilets he told me needed a tool and he ""d me a price once he started the repair work he lets us know that the toilet will work if we get another part. My husband told him to go to home depot and get the part this need it he did that and now I have 2 out of 3 told us that actually work the 3rd toilet is having the same problems had except it's worse now. I don't want to call them back because it seemed like he wasn't too happy when he was asked to go and get the part that he needed to repair the toilet.
