Chris is professional, knows a lot, very thorough and just a really nice guy. Worked very hard to make sure the faucet was working properly and then cleaned up everything at the end better than I would have done it. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to my friends
Sukanya R.Amazing customer service! Bestway Plumbing responded to our inquiries so quickly and sent William over the next day. William is so polite and so efficient! And he was on time. He installed a faucet and glass rinser for us and explained how to use them. And he was done pretty quickly as well. He was also so good with our dog! We are very happy and very grateful and will definitely ask for William again in the future. Thank you for your amazing service and keep up the great work!
Ellen H.I've hired Bestway Plumbing and Drain twice now and have been extremely satisfied with their work. They arrived when they said they would, fixed the problem and were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I will refer them to friends and will definitely use them again!
We scheduled an appointment with Bestway Plumbing and Drain for a leak detection. We already had a contractor open the family room ceiling due to the water stains that we have noticed.
James King showed up on time for the appointment, even came 15 min early. He looked at the open ceiling and told us that we have already completed 50% of the job. He very honestly told us that there was no sign of a leaking pipe as there was no water drips from the exposed pipes. He took a look at the master bath and said the water seepage to the floorboard (thus water mark in the ceiling) was probably caused by the floor tiles from the shower area. He told us how to test it and even gave us Plumbers Caulk. He did not charge us for his time or travel, he even came all the way from the Woodbridge area and we are located in Herndon! He said there was no need for the service we called for since there was no leak. Such an honest man.
We will continue to call Bestway for our plumbing issues in the future. James' honesty speaks well for the company.
Water tank blew up on a Saturday and I got immediate service. They came out to help turn the water off (no shit off valve at tank), and came back Monday to install new tank. The price was half of what FH Furr quoted to replace the tank several months ago. I will call them again!
Bestway installed my new water heater 4/2022 (High end-over $2K). Called them 27 Nov 2023 to repair. Tech came out next day, looked at it for a few minutes, said he would need to replace the parts. (my sense is he seemed to be aware of problems with this system) After unsuccessfully trying to look up the parts, tech said he would follow up later. After no response for almost 3 weeks, called for a status and Bestway said the parts vendor never called them back. I said after 3 weeks, you are just now telling me that. I suggested they maybe call the parts vendor back and ask. Bestway said they would order the parts. Got the estimate later, $650 to rebuild. Called back to ask if rebuilding a 1- 1/2 year old water heater with only 2 persons living in the home is reasonable. It tells me a defective product. Bestway response was ""expired warranty"", our techs don't work for free and added ""if you are unhappy, call the manufacturer"". Their statement implies ""we really don't care"". Not a good way to respond to and treat customers. Guess I was being given the brush off. As a veteran and 33 year Virginia resident, I cannot recommend Bestway Plumbing. Poor customer service and poor communications skills. Steer clear of this family owned business. It will cost me more, but I would rather replace my entire system rather than use them.
I don't know how this company does with other plumbing issues, but I feel they were a complete failure in dealing with my well/plumbing problem.
I had low water pressure. I contacted this company because of their great reviews on Thumbtack. Two reps came out (Shawn Rose and William Allen) and told me that the switch on my tank was bad. They gave me the option of replacing the switch or the whole tank. They encouraged replacing the entire tank, which I decided to have done.
After replacing the tank, I still had low water pressure. The rep (William Allen) came out again and told me I needed a new well water pump. After installing the pump, I still had low water pressure.
Another rep came out (Skip Rose) and told me I needed a new outside line from the well pump to the house and they would need to lower the well pump, that they had just installed, further into the ground because of the low water table.
After spending thousands already, I was presented with yet another estimate for their latest attempt at trying to fix my problem. Even with their supposed discount, it amounted to a substantial sum.
When I first contacted this company, I told them that I thought it was a leak in the line. I have lived here for over 40 years and this has been the issue a few times before. My husband and sons would fix it. This company's response to this was to tell me that if there was a break in the line they would have to see muddy water or water pooling outside and air and dirt coming out of the faucet.
I lost my husband and son and my other son is out of the area, so I am a senior and a woman alone. Although I don't want to believe that they were trying to take advantage of this situation, I can't help but feel that way. I believe they seemed more interested in getting their commission by pushing new products than solving the problem at hand.
Perhaps a new tank and well pump were needed. But the need was not immediate, because it did not solve the problem. And when their supposed solutions failed to fix the problem, they finally proposed fixing what I initially told them could be the issue. as well as lowering the well pump, that they had just installed, further into the ground because of the low water table.
I had my water issue fixed by another company and guess what it was - a break in the line, not the water tank, not the well pump, and not issues with the water table, and at a substantially lower price than what BestWay was proposing.
My advice (other than to stay away from this company) is to always get other estimates and opinions, before deciding on a business. A practice that I, unfortunately, did not follow in this instance.

They are rude, quick to make expensive suggestions without thinking about what's actually needed, and unprofessional. They are expensive. Please get another quote before you go with this company. I have worked with many similar companies and I don't recommend this one.
My review is based on Bestway's installation of a L7LXDCS150B 1.5 cubic foot CitySoft carbon filter/water softener. I initially sought estimates via Thumbtack and decided upon this company based upon prior reviews. Throughout our six-week long saga, the company maintained prompt service calls. However, I had to phone the dispatch office twice to find out the ETA of the technican the one time that the technician was delayed by several hours-it was the last service call. I was told upon arrival by the technician that he was servicing an emergency. I don't doubt that was the case, however, greater communication would have gone a long way because I took several hours off work and would otherwise had conducted home-life activities with the time (i.e., grocery shopping, car maintenance, etc.).
Bestway sent a team of two technicians, one almost certainly an apprentice based on his interactions with the other, to scope the problem. The team conducted no water tests or other analysis. The two immediately recommended installation of the aforementioned unit. I'm guessing this is because the company has arrangements with the distributor/manufacturer, which is not uncommon. However, note that this company does not provide a suite of options but rather their preferred brand (i.e., they don't sell van/car/truck but rather Ford regardless if Ford makes the vehicle with the characterisitcs and qualities you need).
I agreed to install the unit in question and paid $3,200. The team returned in a few days and was on time with most of their equipment. They forgot a flashlight (which was awkward, but I did provide, and they used an iPhone). However, it turned out that their install was faulty and led to over $1,000 of damage to my property, which has not been recovered.
The unit began leaking and caused damage to my property and new mattress (see pictures). Upon discovery, I called the company, and it provided remediation services at cost to the property. This involved a technician (not team) coming out with a moisture reader and deducing that only a little water had seeped through the baseboard and that air blowers could fix the issue. I ran blowers for several days (heightened electricity bill) and I think that has solved the problem of damage to the house at a cost of a higher electricty bill and a delay in use of equipment that cost $3,200. I asked for a new unit to be installed because I don't fool around with 1) water and 2) electrcity. I sought removal of the unit and the mattress, monetary compensation for the mattress, and reinstallation of a new unit. Prior to approval or removing the unit, I was forced to have a disconnected unit in the house until the manufacturer, distributor, and owner of Bestway came to my house to ""test"" the unit. Yes, my home was an experiment, not the offices of Bestway, Ferguson Supplies, or the manufacturer-my house.
On Thursday, December 15th, representatives from Ferguson Enterprises (distributor) and Lancast Water Group (manufacturer) came to test the unit alongside the technician who installed the unit and owner of Bestway. The manufacturer pressure tested the unit under both house pressure and service pressure throughout all process cycles. The consensus of all was that the dome fill plug most likely leaked from not being completely tightened during installation. No visible defects or abnormalities in the unit were observed and I have run the unit since then without noticable issues. Bestway came by later that week (the late appointment) to drop off a moisture reader to alert me in case water seeped out. It is not a smart device so it won't work if I'm not home but it reportedly will work if someone is home and knows how to turn off water to the unit, which is not difficult. I've not seen any sigfniciant difference in water quality, but at this point I have already spent the home and will continue putting salt into the unit and running it.
Overall, my experience with Bestway was not pleasant, led to thousands of dollars in damage, and resulted in lost hours at work. I will not recommend them because of their incompetence. Almost all of their service calls were prompt and preceded by phone calls and because the company promptly responded to my initial service call. Nevertheless, I can't in good conscience recommend this company to others because a master plumber should not fail at something as simple and easy as tightening a fill plug, refusal to compensate a homeowner for damage obviously incurred from said incompetence and forcing homeowner to use his house as a test facility.
Monique C.The guys at Bestway Plumbing was able to quickly repair a faulty valve and sink and they seemed really knowledgeable about common plumbing issues in townhouses built in our subdivision. It was really hard to pick the top three qualities that we liked about Bestway because they were all around fantastic! We will continue to use them for our future plumbing needs.
[UPDATE 7/25/21]
Bestway Plumbing to the rescue! This time, they replaced all of the sink valves and installed a vanity sink in our half-bath. Skip and his assistant were very professional and did excellent work. They'll be our go-to plumbing company!
