I had the worst experience ever. This company sent two young men to my house. Neither seem to know what they were doing. When I told them what I do for a living and will be contacting my attorney they tried to refuse giving me a receipt. He tried to give me a receipt that was not legible. I made him give me a copy of the original. I would not recommend this company for any work.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. Home warranty company assigned Bestway Mechanical (BM) to fix my A/C. Took a week for the technician to come out to diagnose the problem, which is a new condenser is required. It took BM another week to get the quote into AHS. AHS took a week to review the quote; I made arrangements to they wouldn't need a crane - took another week to obtain the parts & another week for the appointment. BM told me there would be some overages charges due to code violations even though numerous companies had come out in the past to service the unit without finding code violations. BM seems to add over inflated """"code"""" violations repairs: $200 for locking caps that cost $27 for 3 on Amazon, Electric Code Item (breaker switch just in case I need one) $250 that cost $4 at Lowes, Refrigerant - $87 / lb costs less than $3 / lb on Amazon, $150 for a Condenser Pad which costs $83 at Home Depot - keep in mind these are retail costs; I'm sure they get these items at a much lower wholesale cost. I was told by BM that I could email my request to discuss the excessive costs to the manager, Wes. Within 90 mins of me emailing my request to discuss the charges, the """"owner"""" Mike emailed me """"...and so on at this point we have notified your warranty company about your displeasure of having to pay your out of pocket cost and have informed them that we no longer want to work on your property and that they can find another company..."""" I had simply asked to discuss the charges. So BM cancels the appointment after making me wait a month for the appointment. Another note - BM is servicing the Charleston area for AHS, but one of their employees told me they have only one technician, who is always 5-7 days out for service calls; which is a long time to wait when it's 95 degrees with a 105 degree heat index.

Dishonest and Fraudulent Company and employees. My Home warranty company assigned Bestway Mechanical to fix my A/C. Thomas came out to diagnose a problem in my system and did not have the proper working gear. Thomas diagnosed a leak in my system w/o a Freon detector. Thomas, without knowing I had the first class upgrade, told me there would be some overages charges. Warranty company said there were all sort of code violations -- even though numerous companies had come out in the past to service the unit w/o alleged code violations. Here is where the scam comes in. Bestway charges a bunch of over inflated """"code"""" violations repairs that are not needed. $250 for a water switch that cost $25 on Amazon (*have a working one), Refrigerant line charges $200 for a $10 line, $200 for locking caps that cost $10 on Amazon, Refrigerant reclaim and recapture on a system where all the Freon leaked out. I called to Complain to the district manager, Wes Robinson. The guy was rude, aggressive and incompetent. I asked why the charges were so excessive and he said his company was in the business to make a profit. I also pulled the code and showed there was no violations. Bestway set an appointment to make the repair and didn't show up. I inquired and they lied and said they didn't have the proper part. Warranty called them and said they had to come out pursuant to their agreement. They refused, lied and said the repair was made. Bestway undercuts their competitors and comes in with a low bid to the warranty company to get business, Then they charge unnecessary and excessive overage charges. If you get assigned with this company call the warranty company and ask for someone else. I should have known better with all of the reviews. RUN

I am giving one star because you can't give ZERO stars. Waited for over a week for their first appointment slot, then the repairman showed up LATE! Their appointment windows are 4 hour blocks and that's too long for people who need to get to work. Didn't even call to tell me they were running behind either. Office staff made a bunch of promises that never happened and each person I spoke with told me something different than the last. Office clearly isn't staffed well because I waited 10 minutes for someone to pick up the phone EVERY TIME I call! I had to call 3 times for repairs over the course of one summer...seemed that they weren't too interested in actually fixing the problem, only milking my wallet. THE ONLY REASON THEY COME TO MY HOME IS BECAUSE MY HOME WARRANTY CONTRACTS WITH THEM! THIS BUSINESS SUCKS!!!!

Terrible customer service. Came to our home and told us that our leak would definitely not be covered under our home warranty. Quoted us $6400, did not even try to snake the plumbing. Virtually took our $75 service fee and of course our warranty company said that they would not cover the cost. Very dishonest and disappointing. We then had to pay another plumber to snake the plumbing, which ended up being a lot cheaper, but was frustrating nonetheless. Would absolutely not recommend.

I was worried at first (because of the Yelp reviews), but Mark & Matt were excellent - they showed up when they said they would, they were professional and friendly, and they fixed the issue promptly. Also, as Matt was checking our AC unit, Mark took the time to answer all of my questions in detail and with patience. Thanks to you both!

The following is the customer service review I gave directly to the company after completing our service. Be advised I would never pay to use this company. Your office told my leasing agent that you called me, and never did. When I called I was told you were waiting on my to call to schedule the work order. Your technician told me he would put in the part order and should be able to make it out the following day or Friday at the latest. I was told your office would call me. After waiting nearly a day I was told it was the technicians fault. I then was told you would call to confirm an appt in addition to scheduling online. I recieved a text but no call, and had my leasing agent call to schedule the appointment. My family went a week and a half without AC during one of the hottest weeks of the year. This was caused in large part by either laziness or incompetence of your office/scheduling staff. Your Technicians were professionals and fixed the problem in less than an hour total so props to them. Not only am i dissatisfied with your customer service but my leasing agent (Butch, with Veterans Realty) said I could include them in this negative review as he had numerous bad experiences with the company. Additionally, I will be given a negative review on Yelp as well as submitting a complaint with the better business bureau. I highly advise you do some in house correction of these issues or I could easily forsee loss of contracts with companies like American Home Shield.

Appointment was scheduled last Tuesday between hours of 8-12 and haven't heard from company. Its is now 12:02. Arrived at 12:30pm. Diagnosis: needs freon again 207.03 for 3qts. We should not need freon every year. If there is a leak it should have been fixed already. He stated he will add a sealer. He left house and unit is still doing the same thing so that fix didn't work. Now BestwayMechanical Inc is saying they cant come back till Thursday when the guy just left our home. Calling AHS for possible new company that can come out and really diagnose the issue. Thursday: scheduled to come out today between 12-4 its 4:30 no word from company. Arrived 7:30 (4hrs late) like no big deal but people take off based on time slot provided. Diagnosis:Freon not cycling through this is so disappointing waited from 12-7:30 for a 15 min diagnosis that could have been handled on day1 if this will solve the problem he didn't check to see if something else could be going on. Had my neighbor come over because my husband was away since it was so late. Neighbor stated He stayed on his phone taking care of personal business trying to get insurance for his self. Hello, I checked into portable unit all available locally portable units (window units not allowed) for purchase and take home are 300 and up. the cheapest I could find was 250 at Home Depot but it has to be shipped and wont arrive till 9 August or later. But still checking especially if its not fixed today. Technician is due to arrive today Monday 12-4 to replace part hopefully this time he wont be 3hours late (7:30 arrival time last week). Called Bestway to see if technician is still on track to make it to my home between 12-4 (it is now 2pm) she stated yes but didn't contact technician to see if he would be. I will call AHS customer support to see if they can get a better assurance on arrival time if he doesn't show in the next hour. Called Bestway Mechanical again at 3:30 they said technician is in Hephzibah GA (definitely 30 to 40 min away from my home) based on his GPS and he has two appointments from 12-4 and he has not left Hephzibah location and they cant call him because he's a new technician and they don't have a phone number for him. They said he should be leaving other location because he's been there an hour already but they cant say that for sure when he will finish. How does a company not have their employees phone number what kind of business are they running. Called AHS and they told AHS they are finishing the job and will be enroute . The same thing they said Friday when they were 3hrs late. Bestway Mechanical Inc should be on AHS do not use list. AHS customers should not have to go through this. This is the second time. Their third time at my house. Bestway Mechanical Inc should definitely be on the do not use list for all your customers. I tried to change companies when I seen the F rating on BBB to avoid this type of terrible service but AHS customer support wouldn't change it. 12-4 appt arrived at 7:30 on Friday now Monday 12-4 appointment and its 4pm now and no arrival. They have no consideration for other people time. People work just like they do and have to take off work to meet the 12-4 timeline and they arrive late. Time and money lost by the customer and they don't care. Now its 4:30 still no technician. Stay away. If your warranty company tries to send them fight harder to change. Update 10pm company never showed or called. AHS couldn't even contact them. Terrible company. Stay away...
