I needed a plumber asap for a valve replacement under the kitchen sink. I had already turned the water off to the house and removed the old one, but I couldn't get the new one on.

I called another company first but was only able to speak with a call taker, who could only quote me a service call fee of $39 to come look at it. Then, their plumber would give me a price and the $39 would be part of that, or I could decline their quote and just pay the $39. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't be straight with me on the phone, even though I clearly explained what I needed done! To me, that's just the old ""bait & switch"" game!

I sent Best Rooter and Plumbing a quote request through Yelp and he called me within 15 minutes to ask a few detailed questions. He then gave me a price on the phone and was at my house in an hour. The job was done correctly and no games on pricing. I would definitely call them again!

I talked to them early on a Friday afternoon to schedule a water heater installation and was told that he wouldn't be able to make it until between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning so I went ahead and scheduled it for then, giving them my address and phone number. At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning when he hadn't shown up I called and left a message on his phone to call me to insure that he was going to be able to make it, leaving my phone number again. I didn't hear from him so I called back at 12:30 and got him on the phone. He explained that the supply house that he gets his water heaters from is closed on Saturday and he wouldn't be able to install it today. So why did he say Friday that he would be here Saturday to install it? Why didn't he make arrangements to pick it up Friday afternoon? He said that he could get one at Lowes on Sunday and install it. LOWES IS OPEN ON SATUDAYS! Why not then? Because he didn't have anyone to install it on Saturday. Then why did he schedule the installation on Saturday to begin with and why didn't he take the common courtesy to call me? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
