Best Plumbing & Heating
Company Overview
At Best Plumbing & Heating, LLC, we focus on all your plumbing, gas, and hydronic heating requirements. One of our newest offerings is the Pelican Water Softening System, which operates without salt, making it ideal for individuals with high blood pressure or those who prefer not to frequently purchase and handle salt pellets.
We handle the installation of hose bibs, water heaters, gas lines, sinks, faucets, garbage disposals, irrigation systems, lawn and landscaping sprinklers, blow back valves, gas fire pits, BBQ gas lines, gas boilers, and a wide array of other plumbing components.
Hydronics involves utilizing water as the heat-transfer medium in both heating and cooling systems. Common examples include steam and hot-water radiators, while chillers and cooling towers can be used independently or in conjunction to provide cooling. The chiller boiler system is a recent innovation that delivers an efficient HVAC option for homes and smaller commercial establishments.
Joseph and Cherrie founded Best Plumbing & Heating LLC in 2007, with Joseph dedicated to the trade and Cherrie overseeing the administrative side. Joseph began his plumbing career in 1989 with a prominent local plumbing firm. While completing a five-year apprenticeship, Joseph contributed to various large commercial and industrial projects. Due to his strong work ethic and knowledge, he rapidly advanced to foreman and then general foreman, managing several projects with large teams.
Cherrie manages multiple enterprises and has an innate talent for understanding the broader perspective, delivering excellent service at reasonable rates while ensuring your satisfaction. Cherrie emphasizes the importance of going the extra mile to all team members. As a service-oriented company, we place your needs at the forefront of our mission. GREAT Service!!!!
I had a simple job done - installation of a kitchen faucet
About a month later the faucet became loose.
I called and the problem was fixed.
They were fast and got the job done.
I would recommend them to all I know

Lee A.I have been using Best Plumbing & Heating for 3-4 years for all my needs managing multiple properties. Joe is the BEST! That's why they call it BEST! He has replaced 2 water heaters, unclogged sinks and tubs, and replaced a garbage disposal for me. He is always quick to get out there and performs a great service at a very fair price! I give Joe & Best Plumbing 5 stars and recommend him all the time!
Cary M.I am VERY HAPPY with Best Plumbing! I had a water heater emergency and Chris showed up on time and ready to go to work!
I will be calling these guys again for ALL of my Plumbing needs! Thanks Best Plumbing!
I called Joe at Best Plumbing and told him that I needed an extra outside faucet. He was there the next day and in about an hour I had the new faucet. The wife is happy which makes me happy. Thanks Joe for a great job and great service.
Pye W.So I live all-the-way-out-in-Stead (which is how everyone in Reno always refers to it LOL) and have had trouble getting any workmen of any sort at all to come out here. Prior to contacting Best Plumbing, I had ONE other plumber who agreed to come out, and HE, it turned out, was never even remotely serious about doing any work. Everything I told him I wanted done, he said he wouldn't do, including hooking a sink in to existing water and drain lines. I finally asked him why he even came out and he told me he had ""always wanted to look around inside one of these houses"" (it was built by the Air Force for officer housing in the '50s).
That REALLY creeped me out. A total waste of my time and, more important than that, my HOPES.
Joe came out without a quibble, the only plumber I contacted who did. He gave me a quote in a timely manner. However I was not able to take advantage of it at the time as my son had to relocate for a new job and
he had expenses for buying a new residence, his recent marriage, and all that setting up a new household on top of a long distance move entails.
Then we were just going to put this place up for sale so decided not to fix anything after all. Then I had a very small leak from a supply line in the bathroom so they came out and fixed that and installed all new supply lines for me since not a single one in the entire house worked. I cannot imagine a smaller job but they came out quickly and fixed it up for a very reasonable cost. We were still planning on listing the place without further repairs.
Then just a few days before we formally put the place on the market, I turned on the shower and water came shooting out the walls, washing cement mortar with it. There was a leak behind the 60 year old tiled walls that could not be ignored, and it had apparently been leaking slightly for quite some time. 60 years ago they laid tile on thickset mortar so this required a complete gutting of the bathroom down to the studs to remove the cast iron tub.
Joe sent his crew out and they got that tub out in a couple of hours using a ginormous power saw and various and sundry plumber-ly skills. Dug out the cast iron drain, which I am pretty sure they ended up having to replace as well, and installed plumbing on the opposite wall so I could move my washer and dryer into the house from the garage. Now that I'm on the verge of leaving this house, I have a new tub and an indoor laundry LOL!
In addition, they came out and reworked the plumbing in the kitchen. The original kitchen had the washer/dryer and the water heater on one side, and on the other side a stove, sink, and very limited counter space. I had less than 3' of counter on the L at the right end of the sink and only 20"" of counter space to the left of the sink. No room for a dishwasher.
Previous owners had moved the washer and dryer and the water heater to the garage, and had a Rube Goldberg setup where they ran the drain for the washing machine through the garage wall into the master bedroom closet, then through the back wall of the closet and into the original washer drain in the kitchen. Then they plugged up the hole in the outside wall with cardboard (I'm serious) which had water stains and was buckled from a leak at some point. Joe's crew took all of that out, removed the 60 year old ugly spigots sticking out the wall that had originally been the washer supply lines, and plumbed in new connections for a sink water supply and drain using the existing plumbing. The washing machine was moved into the new ""laundry room"". They disconnected the original cast iron porcelain sink installed 60 years ago and was in bad shape (plus the faucet leaked), capped off those supply lines and the drain on that side, and installed a new whole house shutoff since the old one was immovable.
I am waiting for delivery of cabinetry for the other side of the kitchen where the new sink will go, so they plumbed in a utility tub until the new setup is completed. The faucet I got required that the supply lines go in from the top) but they managed to get it installed ANYWAY, though it took some pipe bending and a bit of extra soldering. I did not realize it was such an unusual installation when I bought it, but they got it all set anyway.
To top it all off, 3 years ago we had the furnace replaced by a guy who was supposed to have the work permitted but didn't. Now I know why. It was not to code. I'll skip the gory details but in short, the Best crew fixed that all up for me in short order. Wish I'd known about Best back then to do the furnace install.
Highly recommended. Finding a handyman to finish the bathroom remodel has been a(n ongoing) nightmare, but dealing with the Best crew has been the OPPOSITE of nerve wracking, LOL! They've been nothing but patient with me and my awful memory. I thank my lucky stars, at least I found a plumber!
I called them because our water heater pilot light kept going out. He came quickly at the appointment time and fixed the problem within minutes. He didn't even charge us a dime since it was just a simple adjustment, even though he would have been within his rights to do so.
Guess who we call the next time we have a plumbing/hot water heater issue? Thank you, Best Plumbing!!
We had a pipe break at our home. This company came promptly, diagnosed problem and repaired. It required digging up our flower bed by front entrance. They removed plants carefully and returned everything back to as good or better condition. They were pleasant and informative throughout the process.
Rick M.Upon returning from a trip I found my water bill from TMWA to be extraordinarily high. I found that, even with my water supply to the house turned off my meter was spinning. I called Marcia at Best Plumbing and she had Joe out at my house withing a short time. Joe investigated the problem...unfortunately my issue was going to require a leak detection company to come out find the leak. Joe gave me the name of a firm that does that kind of work and asked me to contact him once the leak was found. Long story short, the leak detection company would come out in four days to find the leak and could also repair it on the spot. I felt a little guilty here as Joe was very generous to pass on the name of another company...he obviously took time out of his busy day to look at my problem. I contacted Best Plumbing and they said if the problem could be found and repaired in a timely fashion they were okay with that...now that's a class guy. Although Joe at Best Plumbing didn't actually do any repair work at my house I found them to be honorable people who were more interested in seeing my situation resolved ASAP than getting the job. Hats off to them; I will call Best Plumbing next time I need a plumbing issue taken care of.
Cindy P.I am so grateful to Joe and his Company, Best Plumbing & Heating. I was looking for Plumbers to donate their time to help 2 of my Veteran families that I am a caregiver for. They financially could not afford to fix leaks and plumbing issues that were big issues in their homes. Not alone did Joe literally in minutes after speaking to him on the phone did he arrive at my first Veterans house and fix his problem. But we went to 2nd family and helped there and also phoned few other contractors and Drain service companies to see if they would help too. Very impressed how much Joe went above and beyond to help, and I highly recommend them. Thank you again. Merry Christmas to you all.
Amber B.I'm writing this based on the professionalism. The 2 men that worked on my mother's sink smell straight like an ashtray. The whole house smelled like cigarette smoke by the time they were done. One of the workers used the bathroom and left the toilet seat up. Going out to your truck to get supplies shouldn't be used as a smoke break when you're on the clock. My mom has cancer and doesn't need the 3rd hand smoke in her house. The work they did was good, but please be considerate of your cigarette habit when you're at someone else's home.
