This company claims, very loudly, over radio and on its trucks to be the BEST in-home services, yet it is anything but. They are crooks. They gave me no written estimate, sent someone who spoke no English, was in my home for less than 10 minutes, determined I needed a $2040 water heater I had someone else install for $1400, and charged me $243 for the call on a regular week day. Making matters worse, I fought the charge through Capital One for months before they decided with BEST and against me, the consumers. So, don't think you have protection and go with them. They should change their name to WORST!

I will be writing a new review soon. The saga continues. I settled a dispute which included no posting. The problems have continued. My complete post will be issued tomorrow. You won't want to miss it.

We had a problem with the blower on the furnace. Appeared to be a straight forward issue and a simple repair to replace the blower. The technician who came out was very nice and confirmed the bad blower motor quickly. His solution was to replace the entire system at almost $8K citing that we should expect the system to fail for some other reason in the near future. We pushed for a simple repair and we're given an estimate of almost $2K to replace the blower. We called small AC repair shop in Naples and he showed up within the hour, confirmed the problem and gave us an estimate of $700 for the repair. Which we happily paid. I would highly advise you do not waste your time with this company. They appear to only be interested is selling service contracts and new systems. They are beyond price gouging.

CAUTION: Be sure to request an estimate before having Best Home Services do any work at your home. We had a water leak at the refrigerator ice line box and called Best Home Services. The technician installed a new refrigerator box and also replaced the washing machine box as a preventative measure. Both jobs took about one hour total and the invoice was a shocker... $1,211 for the washing machine box and $672 for the refrigerator box. After researching that these jobs normally cost a few hundred dollars each, I called Best's customer service and asked if they would double-check our invoice as it seemed excessive to usual and customary charges. Best's representative said it did appear there were discrepancies with the charges and she would reach out to the plumbing manager to confirm and call me back. After several days passed without a return call, I called customer service again and was told the original charges were correct as they bill by scope of work, not hourly rates for their work. I will never call them for work again!

Do not use this company! I've spend $20K with them and had them out to my house over a dozen times to fix the new units that they just installed. Every tech that comes out says that the previous guy screwed up. Was quoted $10K today to fix what they just installed because it was not done properly.

I purchased a new home air conditioning system from Best Home Services. The install team apparently did not appropriately complete the proper electrical process. They sent an electrician to inspect and he told me (also in writing) that I needed a new fuse and wire to the new unit. I called to get the work done and the customer service team (Tammy, then Drew) told me I did not need the wiring despite not seeing my house. I found Tammy inappropriately pointing the finger to another department within her company. I asked to speak to the manager Drew who told me he would come over to see my house, then was no where to be found and did not return my daily calls. His manager Phil had someone change the fuse, but no additional work was completed. The only person to actually see my house was the electrician who suggested additional work. The customer service is poor at Best Home Services, and the phone tree was awful to actually get a real person. I can't imagine doing business with them in the future - for those reading this review, call someone else. Randy M.

Think twice before using Best Home Services! On July 18th I paid $374 for a problem with our central air and on August 19th they returned to fix the same problem and I had to pay another $278. Work is warrantied for 30 days and I was 1 day over. The fact that I texted with their technician on August 11, 12 and 18 did not count. They refused to make any adjustment. I contacted Best Home Services to get a quote for a simple task, to run an ethernet cable from my modem to my office. The technician that was sent to my house spent over an hour here and then said he unable to give a quote, saying it wasn't his area of expertise. He did, however, open exterior equipment panels on both sides of my house which had nothing to do with my request. I asked why and he said it's company policy and he got bitched at last week because he didn't get at least ten to twelve photos of the customer's home and equipment. I was not asked permission to take these photos and asked him to delete them. He didn't know how to, so I called the office to ask them to and the CSR said the department manager refused to do it. I asked that person to please call me back because I couldn't believe what I just heard. That manager never returned my call, so 2 days later I called Best Home Services' general manager William Patrick Watkins and he confirmed that he would not, saying that he could delete them but he wouldn't because that's their policy and that was more important than respecting their customer's wishes. I am shocked at their appalling lack of courtesy and professionalism.

After posting the reveiw, the company refunded our money. I am updating my review from 1 to 3 starts since they finally did the right thing.

SCAMMERS!! The guys get paid commission based on what you pay for in services & parts! They jack up your price & even make up things that aren't even needed to fatten their paychecks! I was told I needed a brand new AC (my AC is only 3 years old) when it ended up being a clogged drain line. Luckily I got a second opinion! After this I started asking around & talked to a previous employee who confirmed how their pay works & how they are encouraged to rip people off!
