Buyer beware. They charged my 88 year old Mother $539.00 just labor for a 45 minute job. The part was covered under warranty.

I just had my first a/c service call. Was I impressed, WOW, yes I was!! Keith who was the service tech did a outstanding job. When he signed us up for the service he promised to do a service on the unit that never was done before, and he sure did. He took pictures before he started and when he was finished. The unit was nite and day from what it was. If anyone out there is need of excellent service for their a/c my strong suggestion would be to call Best home services, not just for your a/c but in their service contract you also get yearly inspections for electric and plumbing. My wife and I are very glad we called them . Jack Hunter

Can I give ZERO? Had out flow (pipe that takes waste water from home to sewer) blockage. Called around on a Saturday for help. After 5-6 calls I had the misfortune to find this joint who was willing to come in 2 hours. $49.00 to come look at problem was soon turning into a yearly contract of $4,000.00 My blockage was fixed for $1,100.00 It amazes me their review here is 2 1/2 as opposed to their almost a perfect 5 when you look at their site. I smell a rat. In all, a lesson learned.

Our experience. Best Home Services installed a new A/C unit. This unit could not bring the temp down below 74 degrees. At that temp, it ran constantly. We were told the duct work was old and needed to be replaced at the time of the unit install. It was quoted at over 8k to replace. Did not have it done due to cost. Sometime later, as it still did not perform correctly, it was stated again, new duct work, it is too old. That would mean they most definitely knew it would not work right but did the A/C install anyway. I was asked if he could get up there, as they did not see it at the time of the initial quote. Really? And then the cost was substantially reduced....by thousands. From that, I assume a complete, professional evaluation of the situation was not performed from the beginning. Since nothing changed physically in the home, why the drop of so much? We also had an issue with the float switch turning off the A/C unit. The fix? To rotate the switch and tape it in place so it was above the water level in the pan. In turn, this caused an overflow that got under our newly installed floor, and it is now buckling due to the moisture. And today, thermostat says humidification always on idle. I called many times and asked to be walked through the menu, as maybe there was an option not set up. A manager called me back (twice), told me a tech would call to assist. A tech did indeed call. He was not familiar with my unit, would not walk me through the menu, and I was told that it is most likely permanently set on 55% and that is what modern units do now. Then I was given a brief on how beneficial this humidity level to people and the house itself, so I should leave it there. Concerning the settings, I found this may not be true, according to the Honeywell install and user manuals. When I called back, I was told by the manager that a tech did call (he did), and that was what they were going to do with this issue until I can let them inside. I am not counting that call as a """"resolution call"""". No advice was offered other than another service call. The manager that followed up the call also could not find my model, as it would mean she had to """"Look all the way back"""" I do not even understand that comment in this computer age. I was supposed to use my phone, take a picture of it, and email it to her. They did the install, they should know. Everyone in the chain from the initial phone call to this part, kept pushing for a tech to make a service call, and at this time, that is not possible. Our house is sanitized, and no one comes in. Their precautions are just, but not perfect, and I cannot afford an """"Oh, sorry about that."""" I will not take a chance with what I have experienced so far with Best Home Services. I can manage a thermostat, and the settings are correct as far as Honeywell is concerned, but I may have missed something. I looked for professional help with Best Home Services, as they did the install, but did not receive anything worthwhile in that sense. If I have made any inaccurate assumptions or incorrectly stated anything whatsoever, I will withdraw this complaint. Photos, documentation, and witnesses point to the legitimacy of it.

For anyone ready to get work or quotes from this company, please read . I had recently requested a quote for new A/C system at my house. I obtained as well other quotes from different companies, but since Best Home services guaranties to be very competitive with prices ( but they actually aren't at all ), however I decided to give it a try. First of all, the consultant/salesman who showed up had an upfront """" low"""" attitude that was felt right away. Then what followed was even worse as his demeanor/behavior was so """"unprofessional & rude"""". Every comment I would make, he would each time completely contradict my sayings ( and I know specific suggestions on my part were right) This has been the worse experience that I was not expecting, and in the end, the quote he wrote and lined up in kitchen.....he took off without a word, showing himself out, but making sure he was picking up the quote from the kitchen counter, in order not to leave it to me. Wow....never seen anything like this!! This company does other services as well, but there isn't a chance in this world I will call for anything else. Never!

The technician was on time and friendly. However $366 to replace a capacitor in my A/C which took a total of 25 minutes was very expensive. Not happy about the price.

I called Best early last evening to deal with a clogged main sewer line. They called back promptly. They said they could have a tech out later that evening. They also said they charged $19.95 for them to come out. I repeatedly asked for an estimate of the cost for a simple sewer line clearing. They would not provide it. The tech arrived about 4 hours later. I showed him the access point for the sewer line and asked what the charge would be to clear it. He said $400! I told him I would use someone else as I have had this done after hours in the past. The highest charge I have ever had is less than $180. Daytime the charge is normally less than $100. Had I know what they would be charging I would have called another plumber immediately. To me their behavior is certainly bad and borders on unethical.

This company is only good at one thing, Taking advantage of people. How is it If you do not have the product on the truck to fix the problem you were call for, How could you charge $100 service call when no service was preformed !!!

Sarasota Best Home Service Technicians are great!. The company ensured I knew via email and text when the technicians were on the way. Jared Smith, Joshua McEachin, Leo Pineda, and Ray Enriquez together showed expert, quality, and professional service. When they showed up the system had been changed and disconnected just to work, and my home would freeze downstairs but be hot upstairs. They tackled my Zone system and put it back together as if the system was new. Chris came out to do the assessment and brought to my attention things that were not code ready. These things upon further researched could have caused me some serious money in damages if gone unnoticed. I would definitely recommend Sarasota Best Home Service in the future and for my AC needs.
