I have used Berwyn Western for over 25 years and let me just say this company has really gone down hill. They claim to have 24 hour service and twice I've called for emergency service and the tech on call either didn't bother to call me back or said I didn't have an emergency!! Seriously if I could give zero stars I would. I've called to ask to speak to the owner or manager and never received a call back. Today is the last straw I woke up at 5:00 am to a hot house my outside unit stopped working I have a disabled elderly mother and have been calling Berwyn Western since 5:00 am and the tech on call has yet to call me. I wanted to address this privately with who ever is in charge of this company but I get no call back from anyone. I will never call them again and give them my hard earned money!!! You lost a loyal customer due to the people you choose to employ.

not even 1 star--highway robbery is right!! this guy costs more than a good attorney!!
Scheduled a service call for minor plumbing (leaky faucet, leaky toilet, remove standpipe, and tighten kitchen sink faucet)--was told about $95 service call. After he told me how i could change the washer in the leaky faucet, made the toilet leak even quicker after his diagnostics, did some work on my kitchen drain 15 mins (that i did not request, and was not an issue until he monkeyed with that), tightened the kitchen faucet, removed the stand pipe and went off to complete the paperwork. he took photos of the standard toilet to order parts, btw, and came back with a bill for $280 for 50 min job (the $95 service charge was in addition to time and material!!) it took him 5-7 mins to complete the paperwork. My husband had a fit that i wrote the check. i called in, spoke to Mary who said i was
talking to the right person--the owner's wife, who put me through to Connie. Connie promised that she would look into the matter and call me back. that was 2 weeks ago--we are now shutting off the water to the toilet to keep it from running 24-7, oh, and have shut the water to the faucet too!! if i didn't already have so much invested in this, i'd pull the plug and call someone else!!!

i almost never write reviews, but i feel like if one person reads this and goes elsewhere it will have been worth my time to do so--call someone else!!

They're good. And professional. Completely recommend, especially for more commercial applications. They know their stuff, first time every time.

Highway Robbery! ... We purchased a home with dual furnaces and central air units (Victorian) 4 years ago. Apparently this company would do the maintenance on the units as they signed off on a sheet when it was serviced. I don't know if the previous owners were doing these folks laundry or cooking them food and serving $100 wine with it but their prices are now BEYOND OUTRAGEOUS!! ...
Our motor went out on one of the furnaces. We understand there is an upcharge for parts (although we could've purchased ourselves for $130) .. What was needed takes about 45 minutes to 1 hr. We understand the Hourly labor fee.. We would've even been ok paying $400 for this fast replacement/repair but these guys called us back and quoted us $700... Beyond disappointed, will NEVER use them! We found the # to the licensed HVAC guy who has serviced our ac units since we've been here and the charge was $340 and that also includes one of the rubber tubes that looked to be crack.. My husband told these Cats that he will send them a bunch of plastic ""Toys"" and they can head off to screw themselves!

Great experience with Berwyn Western so far. Keith, the owner, is a great, friendly guy who took the time out to explain to me how my new (to me) home's HVAC system worked in a way that was not condescending nor 'man-splaining'. Their office staff was friendly and professional. The installers were also very friendly and professional and worked quickly. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Don't recommend this company, go find other people first. I made an appointment for the AC and the plumbing system, two jobs, one week earlier. They didn't show up on the day they should come, I called them, they can't find my appointment in their computer, they called me back few hours later and told me they found the paper with my schedule on someone's desk. Not sure what happened between the management team, but to avoid it happens to other people, go find other companies first.

We just finished a kitchen remodel and we couldn't be happier with the results. We found Berwyn Western to be very professional and knowledgable. The workers always arrived on time and cleaned up after the job. We would definitely use Berwyn Western again.

I have had a number of projects done by them and they have always provided excellent service at a fair price.. They installed my new furnace and air conditioner and they work great. I used them for the yearly furnace check. They have been timely and courteous.

Wonderful! These guys took over a botched attic renovation. They stayed on budget and sought out an alternative heating system that saved me $$$. They were clean, efficient and friendly. Quality craftmanship, truly. Best of all they handled all the paperwork with the city of Berwyn which is a major deal. There were a few snags, but nothing out of the ordinary. I would hire them again in a minute.

I am always skeptical of plumbing and heating companies because I know relatively nothing about the stuff, so I never know what to trust, but over the last 4 years, Berwyn Western has done good things for my house. I had a 50 year old Boiler they replaced with no hassle and it works like a charm. They also had to fix the sewage pit and some minor other work and all have been great. Whenever I have a problem they are very quick to respond and fix things too.
