Bert's Electric & Plumbing was established in 1962 by our founder, Bertram Abrahams and was taken over by his twin sons, Lee and Gary, in 1980. Craig Molling, the present owner, started working here in 1993 and acquired it from the twins in 2017, keeping the name to honor the founder while ensuring the tradition of high-quality work. We ensure this commitment shines through in every job we do.

Craig brings over 25 years of experience to the table, he is both the owner and a key player in our operations and the qualifying party for our four licenses, which include Commercial & Residential Electric and Commercial & Residential Plumbing. This background equips him to handle all areas of our operations and to step in for hands-on tasks if needed.

Before relocating to Tucson, our Service Manager, Robert Bray, had his own plumbing business on the East Coast. He has been a vital part of Bert's for the past 3.5 years. I had made an appointment a few weeks ago to get an estimate for work we would like to have done. We are very Covid-cautious still because of health concerns and always ask contractors who are in our home to wear a mask. NONE have had an issue complying with our request prior. At the time I made the appointment, I made this request and was told it was no problem. The owner of the company arrived for our appointment and immediately refused saying he doesn't ""do masks"" ""it is my right not to wear a mask"", even though we had a clean, new mask available for him to use and he probably would be in our home no longer than 10 minutes. He also refused to consider doing the work if we would ask him to wear a mask in our home. Very bizarre to say the least, and while true it is his right not to wear a mask, it is also our right to ask a stranger coming into our home to wear one, and also good to know where NOT to spend our money. So, for anyone with similar health concerns and level of cautiousness, wanted to share this experience.

Well, as I found out that this place did not fix the clog in the tub and I had to go to another plumbing service called supreme, and the guy. Bert literally rigged some kind of thing in the back of this cover to hold it there and that's it when the true plumbing issue was 148 feet down The line before you get to the cities sewer area. But supreme stuck it out another whole day and found out where the true tub leak was, which had nothing to do with any hardware in the tub because it was much bigger than that. It affected shower in another bathroom, the tub and the washer couldn't clear so that was the real problem supreme took care of it, this is Bert's patch job to cover up the hole that his employee left, but had nothing to do with the real clog issue and I mean nothing!

I accompanied my parents to pick up an invoice for certain electrical repairs that were done to a home my parents were purchasing. They had to do this on the morning of closing--a Monday--because this electrical contractor did not email the seller the invoice as promised. My parents' realtor was there, and, along with my parents and me, there were four of us in the room representing the requesting parties. This business is operated out of someone's home. The receptionist cum business owner said that she was busy dispatching certain contractors (I saw no contractors in the room or on the property), but that she would attend to the invoice in about thirty (30) minutes, whereupon she left and went into an adjoining room for about two minutes, returning without any invoice. She did not apologize. I asked her whether she had two minutes to print out the invoice, telling her that that's about how long it would take, and she didn't give an inch: she reiterated that it would be about thirty (30) minutes. I called her white trash and left--but she still insisted upon loudly telling me to leave, even as I was walking out of the door. That's not how any of this works: I'm a lawyer in Minneapolis. Some ten minutes later, a guy shows up and hands my parents' realtor a half-assed handwritten invoice.

I had my house inspected for selling and was told there was a small leak / corrosion at 1 of the fittings. Being out of town, I call Bert's to handle this. I sent them photos and asked craig to call and discuss, which he didn't. My agent let them in to preform the task. 271 dollars later it was fixed. I was told they were there less than an hour, he charged 1.5 hours. They charged another 49.00 for truck usage which is ridicules. Didn't expect them to work out of a trunk.. I would definitely recommend another Plummer. Poor communication and I felt taken advantage of.

Bert's Plumbing is the best. They are prompt, curtious, and professional. We've had Craig and Robert repair faucets and replace a water heater. They are both extremely knowledgeable and professional. There's no doubt, We think Bert's Plumbing is the best plumbing company in Tucson.

My doorbell stopped ringing in my new house. I called Berts and they came out on time, a nice tech named Lewis. The doorbell needed 3C batteries, which I provided. The tech was only there 10 min. And the charge was $157.00 to change batteries which I provided. Given that this was my first appointment with this electrician, I believe this was an unfair price. The tech asked his boss he could charge a reduced price, but the answer was no. This may be an excellent electrician, but I will not use him again given the lack of consideration for the price of changing batteries. I'm a senior and every dollar counts.

Had some corroded valves changed out on my water heater. Really tight space and was already told by one plumber they couldn't do it. Mike from Bert's was efficient and personable and got the job done.
