Total scam artist. Do not fall for anyone who asks upfront fee to get to your house and "not to exceed quote" that will be treated as estimated quote you accepted. If you change your mind, you will end up paying for breach of contract.

Ill say this, danny was very quick to respond. Now i dont know if there was something lost during communication, but i was not able to agree upon the work needed, and did not receive the service i was looking for.

In the process of selling my home, a leak in my drain line was discovered in a hydrostatic test. I had a couple of days to get this fixed before the closing date. I was needing someone to come out and locate where the leak was. Nothing more than that. My realtor had called on my behalf to schedule a time to come by while i was working.

Danny came by and explained their process and what all was included in their services, which was good to know. We were going to be in need of the actual repair work done. He immediately dropped the number of their leak detection and repair being $7500. This started my worry seeing as how that was a pretty outlandish estimate, even from a stand point of plumbers having the tunnel under a slab.

I said ok, well how much is it to locate the leak? That was included with the $7500, which is pretty standard for a plumbing service. I was getting more suspicious since thats the service i actually was wanting at the moment, and the cost wasnt being disclosed to me. A few minutes later, he came back to the door and said he could have an excavator in the back yard in a couple of hours to start digging! I said hold up, were just locating the leak, and then if i decide to go with bernards, we can bundle that into the final bill.

Now im no plumber, but he started to say the drain line cameras are a useful asset, but theyre not a fool proof way of finding a leak. He stated that my clean out was not all that he needed even to do a camera. He was going to have to dig up the yard to install what he needed, and since it was dug up, identify the leak by digging it up.

Couple of last minute calls later scrambling to find someone that couple squeeze us in nearing the end of the plumber work day, and we got a camera put down there using the port he was claiming to need, and the line break was found. Now my closing date had to be extended since it was the end of the day, and i would not be able to schedule a licensed plumber to come out and do the repair work. My foundation company was already lined up to do the digging, we just needed to be able to tell them where.

Had a line in the front of a home get separated. I had them come out after 5pm so I knew it would be a little extra. The plumber that arrived was not licensed and had 2 boys dig while he ran to the Home Depot for pipe. Got back and stuck the 2 fittings on which took nothing but because he is not a real plumber he failed to clear the line first. This led to them clogging up all the lines to the home and when he tried to clear a shower valve he could not put back together so I had to. Then he dropped a 900+$ bill in my lap. He then had to return the next day to finish clearing the lines. He then tried to hit me with another bill. 350 this time to clean up his own mess. This guy is a joke, no license, and has kids doing labor for him. This company is not legit and I would recommend anyone before these clowns.

Do not use this business. They charged $600 to fix a broken pipe in the backyard, which needed to be repaired two weeks later. Bernard's didnt return calls regarding their poor quality of work performed. Also, couldnt confirm the repairman was actually a plumber.

I had a slab leak and called Bernard's plumbing on 2/6/17. They sent a technician who stated that it will cost $675.00 to detect the source of the leak. He also said that it will cost between $3,000.00 and $5,000.00 to repair the leak. I agreed and he said he will be gone for 30 minutes to get some equipment. He returned more than two hours later with an air compressor and a broken hose, which he had to seal with duct tape. He was trying to hear the leak by putting his ear to the ground. He asked us to turn the water off for 24 hours in order for him to be able to hear the sound of the leak. I called Danny at Bernard's the next day and cancelled their service. He promised to send me the check back. On 2/7/2017, his technician came to my house placed the check under the door mat and sent me a picture. He then, sent me a text telling me that he changed his mind and will mail the check to me for security reasons. On 2/16/2017, I called Danny and asked for the check and he said, "we will mail it to you and will get there when it gets there." and he hang up on me. I called Bakers Brothers and they charged me $323.09 to detect the leak and $2700.00 to repair it.

Very bad experience, unprofessional plumber. Was quoted $750.00 for the worst case scenario & then charged the full amount for a 15 minute repair. The repair only took that long because they did not have the proper tools.
Tried to register a complaint with the BBB. They said it could not be processed because Bernard's Pluming was not a valid company.

I would not use Bernard's, they charged $387 for an hour and 15 minutes to snake two drains. When I asked why it was so expensive and why they didn't waive the service call since they did the job he just said that was their price structure and refused to waive it.
I called two local competitors and they would've done the same job for $200.
Learned my lesson.
