My dad's hot water heater needed replacing . He called them he told and he told him that his hot water heater was leaking. It took them 4 hours to get to his place . They said , two guys , that they came from Rockford to Hudsonville , my dad's home . With no hot water heater . So then they had to run back to Comstock Park to their warehouse to get a hot water heater and then come back . So they ran up the bill when they could have picked up the hot water heater on their way from Rockford to his house . The bill is over $3,000 . Hot water heater at Lowe's is 700 . My dad asked for an itemized bill and it says labor $2,900. That's not itemized . He's called three times in 2 days and still has not been able to talk to the manager or the owner . This company is a ripoff . Way over priced, and it took two guys over 4 hours to do the job. I can see why when they were mostly on the road running upbthe bill. The water heater is in his garage, in a utility room. Easy access. Terrible buisiness. BBB says they hsve had 12 complaints in 6 months. How many people havs said nothing. I dont recommend them.

Bergsma Plumbing came out to clear the roots in my sewer. They kept upselling me. By the time they left they charged me $1700! I backed up 2 months later. Another company opened my sewer up and showed me my pipe with his camera. Bergsma left a ton of roots in my line. Do not call these guys!

Their website says they will inspection your entire plumbing system. The technicians came out today. They glanced at my hot water heater. I was told it couldn't be flushed even though their website offers that service. I was charged $200.00 for a service call and diagnosis. The estimate given to me was $2,500.00. That included two to three hours of labor. I wish I had never invited them to my home!

Got ourselves a Bradford-White heat pump hybrid water heater and can't say enough good things about it - we've had it for about a month now, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way: efficient, intuitive and unquestionably worth the upgrade. The crew at Bergsma Plumbing also exceeded our expectations - the installation was perfect, the crew was both personable and professional, they did a beautiful job on the supporting plumbing, and we couldn't be happier with the product and the service we received. Called on December 23 and they had someone ready to go right away. Chris came out and fixed the kitchen sink without issue. He was clean, professional, and kind. He explained everything before he did any work and cleaned up when he was done. I will definitely call them again for any future plumbing needs.

Bergsma installed a water heater for me two years ago, and the installation went great. Today I noticed a leak in my kitchen, coming from the bathroom above. Not only did they fit me in after calling them after 2pm, they were completely finished in less than two hours from that phone call. I don't think I could have gotten it repaired that fast even if I had a plumber in the family. A+

We had the best experience with Bergsma! Our water heater went out this morning. I called Bergsma and they were at our house within a few hours. Jim, who answered the phone was so kind, responsive and knew exactly what we needed. Our technician Aiden was courteous, knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, cleaned his work area and was very efficient. Well done Bergsma! You have our plumbing business....

I called for an emergency (water leaking through ceiling in basement). They scheduled the Same day. Matt was my tech and he was through and informative about the issue. Job was completed before he left. Extremely happy and would recommend this company hands down!

Called for service and had someone over a week later. I mentioned my pressure tank was making a thumping noise where pressure is bouncing from 40-50. plumber came out and told me it's a pressure switch but he doesn't carry those on the truck so he'll have to run to hardware store. after the new switch it installed it is still thumping so he FaceTimes someone to troubleshoot they end up releasing some pressure from the tank and the thumping quit. they told me I must've over pressurized it and its been happening. I've been living here 5 years and it has never done this.

Presure switch - $365. I confirmed they're about $50 at the store.
labor - $85

24 hours later we are thumping. So close to $500 for nothing.

I was optimistic to have someone seem eager to come help us right away with our broken dishwasher. Said they would arrive between 10-12...they texted 10 mins ahead of time to say they were on their way, got to my house by 9:25. so that was a frantic rush with my kiddos.

To my surprise, TWO techs showed up (always just had one in the past from other companies) even though my text notification only named one tech, Kyle. Seemed to be more focused on my loud garbage disposal then the broken dishwasher that's damaging my kitchen floor from leaking water...After about 40 mins, no resolution to my problem. I was told probably better off just buying a new dishwasher to avoid the cost of moving the dishwasher out to check the lines.

Thank god I decided on a new dishwasher because I was shocked to find out I was charged $295! Looking back at the invoice, I see a fee of $85 to come out & was charged for BOTH techs which was $210 (& why wasn't I notified of the cost of the 2nd tech?? shady) for about 40 mins and NO resolution! Which seems wild to me!

Man, the techs were nice, but dang, we got screwed big time by Bergsma plumbing! Will not use again & would not recommend to anyone.
