He was good about responding however, I had Beny go and look at my mom's shower. He said it was $95 to go out there. He showed my mom how to work her shower to get hot water and then fixed a small drain just by flushing a part. He charged my mom $275! He didn't have to do anything. So ripped off!!! I will never call him again.

I have used Beny for many years and was always satisfied. I have referred him to many friends and family members. This week my water heater stopped working. It was a bad thermocoupler which I had GE send out. I called Beny to install it. I didn't even ask him the price because he has always been fair. A service call like that has been around $150. He came by that day and did the 30 minute installation which I am grateful for. However when it was done and I asked him how much, he said $250. I wish him well but he obviously doesn't want any repeat business from the neighborhood. Probably too busy with big lucrative jobs. Way too expensive these days. Good luck to him.

We've been using Beny for 5+ years, but the personal service, high quality and fair pricing we have come to expect for him has changed for the worse. He has lost all regard for time. Last year, we called him twice and both times he told us he'd stop by in the morning only to show up much later that evening. And it's always the same excuse as for why he's not showing up in a punctual manner: either a big job or an emergency in Malibu, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades or any other fill in the blank affluent LA location. The last straw for us was when we recently called him and had to wait 8 days (Friday to Friday) for a plumber to show up to fix the problem. I called twice and spoke to someone in his office - nothing. I called Beny on his cell, he says he'll be there in the morning. No show the next day only to get a call/apology b/c he had an ""emergency"" to take care of. Like the post from David from 5/6/14, we've always had a shorthand w/ Beny regarding pricing. Unlike the post from above, this time was different. After asking his employee for a ballpark early in the process, we were told ""not that much."" Suffice it to say, we were more than shocked when Beny told us we owed him more than $400 and asked if he could pick up a check that afternoon. We have to wait 8 days and take a back seat to bigger jobs, but when it comes to his money, he wants it ASAP?
We will now be referring to him as - Beny, no longer our plumber.

He gave us a bid to repair our drain. The bid was unfortunately for me for only 90% of the work. We needed to complete the job in order for the drain to work. That is when he charged us a huge amount of money for the small section to complete the drain system. That is not the end of the story. The drain was not installed properly and replugged. Not I have to pay someone else to repair it. Beny should not be your plumber.

Beny is the best!
I've been using him for years and he always shows up and does a great job for a fair price. I even leave my front door open for him when I'm not home and he locks up on his way out. He says ""don't worry about leaving me a check -- I'll send you a bill!""
I trust Beny and he trusts me. If you use him a couple of times he realizes you are a regular customer and he will come running if he can.
I called him just now & told him I need him and he said he'll be here.
And yes he gives me his personal cell number so I can bypass the office.
Call him or text him, he has always been a pro to me.
I originally hired him when I needed a gas line moved for some construction and I didn't like the contractor's price. Beny did it for a third of their quote.
Been using him ever since.
Thanks Beny!

Beware!!! I live in a condo and my sink was stopped up. Beny came out and told me how everything was set up wrong. He said this was no easy job and he would have to come back with a crew. Remember it
was just a stopped up sink. He said it
would cost about $500. Called another plumber who put a snake down the drain and in 15 minutes the job was done. Don't know if he was trying to rip me off because I'm female but I can't believe what he tried to pull on me!!

If you need emergency or even a reasonable time frame for plumbing repairs, DO NOT use this company. On two occasions, they promised a time frame and then didn't show up. When we called to ask why, we were told ""we have to come tomorrow instead"". They didn't even contact us to let us know they weren't coming. We wrote off the first time and we rescheduled them, but, what a surprise - they never showed up and never called. They never followed up to let us know what the delay was about, so we wasted two days sitting around waiting for them while our toilet was completely out of order. This company is flakey. I agree with other users. Don't bother with them. I should have checked Yelp or Angie's List before using this company.

Absolute Flake!!! Never called back and kept me waiting. He came recommended from a friend. Her job was large, and obviously he's not interested in minor plumbing issues only driven by $$...

We called on a Sunday - our toilet was clogged and water was backing up into the shower and tub. He came very quickly and was very friendly. We found him through a friend, and when we called him, we also asked for a price quote to have a camera check out the problem. We also requested a video copy of the camera footage. Beny unclogged the pipe, did the camera work, but didn't provide us with the video footage. He also told us the camera showed we would need approximately $2300 in repiping because he said we had clay pipes that were cracked!. We asked him to come back in a week to do the work. Meanwhile, we got several other estimates, which were from $200 upwards. We called Beny and cancelled his work order but told him we still expected the video footage, so we could see what was going on inside the pipes. He stalled, didn't return our calls and eventually came and re-did the camera work which showed NO PROBLEMS inside our pipes! Also, it showed our pipes were not clay, but were ABS (the best kind because they don't crack and tree roots can't penetrate them). Beny then charged us almost twice what he had quoted over the phone for unclogging our pipe on the previous visit and providing a video. When we asked him about the price inflation, he denied the first quote, and said we probably didn't understand him because of his thick accent. It was also weird that he didn't give us a CD, but instead gave us a VHS copy. Fortunately, we still have a VCR and were able to play it. I think he is used to working on ""Mc Mansion"" type homes, because his very polished website only shows those types of residences - so the owners probably aren't as attentive as we were to what he charges. I would not hire him again. I think he is over priced, and uses fear tactics to get customers to pay for problems that don't exist.

The short of it: Slow response and a waste of money
The long of it:
Finally got Beny out to our home days after we called him to come fix a mainline sewer back up. (Not exactly the type of thing that can wait, but I had high hopes from the positive Yelp reviews.) When he got here, he started snaking the line. However, when his snake hit the tree roots that were apparently causing the backup, he got upset and made a big show of getting his snake out, saying that he couldn't risk getting it stuck, yadda, yadda. Anyway, once it was out, he started talking about all the money that might be involved in ""doing the job right"" by running a camera down the line, which might lead to the possibility of replacing the pipe. All I could see was our hard earned money going down the sewer (literally!). And, to make it worse, we had to pay Beny for not fixing the problem - ugh!
Well, after talking it over, we decided to wait it out and see if the snake helped at all. Not 3 weeks later, it backed up again. But, within those 3 weeks, we researched the problem and found a plumber who could handle the job with minimal cost and disruption (see my other review). The new plumber snaked and snaked, got the roots cleared, and used a herbicide to kill any remaining roots. Been back-up clear for months!
