Chris cancelled by text just before the appointment they set, writing in part ""I would call someone else if you need it done in the next month. Not sure when we will be able to get it back.""

The reason given was equipment failure on their part, which of course can happen to anybody. Breaking an appointment is one thing, not offering another appointment time -- even weeks off -- is something else.

The 'front office' had made an appointment by phone, and I confirmed by phone on the day. For what it's worth they also got the time wrong for the appointment they cancelled minutes before arrival.

I'm revising down to one star given Chris' writing:

""I'm not gonna argue"" but also:

""Thank you for showing your true colors as well. I know not to trust you.""

Cancelling at the last minute is two star service. Calling the truth a lie is something less.

I had a few things in need of a plumber and Chris came to my rescue! Fair pricing and over and beyond normal plumbing - after he fixed my toilet, he cleaned my toilet!

We hired Chris to install a split system and wired 220V outlets for a spa and EV charger. Chris was very professional and easy to work with. He is also very creative and always try to find solutions to solve difficult problems. In addition, his price is very competitive. We will definitely hire Chris again in the future!

Chris came out to our House and did an amazing job. He was on time, told us exactly what we needed to do a house re-plumbing, including restrooms, mainline repipe, and rerouting the line from our main house to the small ADU. He did a great job cleaning up and communicating the entire process. He is an honest guy trying to make It and so far doing a great job! Cannot recommend Chris Benjamin, the face of Bennie HVAC & Plumbing, enough!

He is super responsive via text, works with you to get whatever job done as soon as possible while never jeopardizing the quality of his work. He aims to fix the problem while keeping you in the loop of all expenses and has on multiple occasions given me the option between a fast, more expensive fix or a more economic solution if I were willing to wait for a piece of equipment from Amazon, etc. rather than going to a major store right that day that would cost me 4x more.

He is vastly experienced in multiple fields of home repair yet remains honest in his abilities and won't pursue a task he isn't 1000% sure he can finish.

Very personable guy, never made me feel uncomfortable in my home and a great help to have found in this big desert with so little reliable, trustworthy handy-people. Thank you Chris!

I've been through quite a few workers and I really appreciated his no nonsense, get right to work attitude. He's a hard worker, and I see a great future for him in this field. We called after-hours for emergency help at our holiday home when our septic system backed up, while we had guests. Christopher came over at the drop of a hat and was helping us within 30min! Turned an old disgusting attic into a well insulated place that is clean enough to eat off of! Christopher replaced our old insulation and cleaned our old attic, replacing old disgusting asbestos filled space with modern insulation and ducts. To top it off he replaced the ducts and fixed our toilet for free on thanksgiving day! Wow what a hard worker! Highly recommend him for all your HVAC and Plumbing Needs.

I needed the pressure relief valve on my hot water heater replaced and had called around to see if anyone in the area could do it. Some plumbers didn't bother to get back to me, others said the job was too small, and one tried to sell me a new hot water heater for $1,000. I found Chris on Yelp and he came the next day to fix my hot water heater. He was really friendly and fixed my hot water heater AND winterized my evaporative cooler for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him and definitely plan on calling him again for all my future HVAC and plumbing needs. THANKS CHRIS!
