I used them to replace a hot water heater. The amateur technician was unable to turn off the water and decided to cut the pipes anyways. He flooded my laundry, spraying water all over my media center destroying my Xbox. They told me they were going to replace it and I have yet to receive a check. A more reputable company came out to repair the shut off switch and noticed Benjamin plumbing installed the hot water heater incorrectly. Management at Benjamin sent me a very sarcastic email and I will no longer be contacting them. They are very unprofessional.

Please note this review is during COVID times. During this time, they told me several times they were down to 1 technician which did cause delays.

They were assigned to me from my home warranty company due to other contractors not following up on job. I knew from first contact that this company was more professional than others that I had contact with for my water heater.

My experience with Bob in the office was very positive. He asked for detailed information and pictures of broken water heater. He called me to tell me of updates of getting technician out. (A couple of delays, but I have learned to be patient during COVID times.) I was also called and texted when technician was on the way.

Tony B was the plumber assigned to me. I felt that he took the time to explain things to me and ask me questions. I was given a very detailed invoice and straightforward pricing. He took the time to show me what was updated how to read error codes should device breakdown.

Not a great experience. The plumber kept stepping in sewage and walking around in my house. I kept asking him to try to keep the mess contained and his reply was ""I cant make any guarantees. I literally wanted him to stop walking in the sewage backing up and walking elsewhere. No booties, not clean. He was rude and condescending as well. Would never reccomend.

Called and set up an appt for Monday, 11/12/18, at noon. The technicial arrived promptly and assessed the problem. After giving them $200, the tech scheduled (in writing) an appt at 8:30 a.m. today, 11/14/18. My husband received a call stating the tech would not be able to come back today, after the bathroom had been torn apart by this tech. My husband took the day off to be at the house today. I tried rescheduling, but due to work schedules, no one can be at the house until Saturday. So I rescheduled for Saturday, 11/17/18, at 8 a.m. with Gregory in the appt department. We just receive a call that Saturdays are only for emergency calls. So now we have no appt nor do we have a working bathroom. SO MUCH FOR THEIR CLAIM OF BEING THE PUNCTUAL PLUMBER.

Thank you.. I called the other day with a water heater problem and set a picture and instead of you charging me to come out it was an very easy fix just a button that needed to be hit. Little did you know this week was a hard week me and my husband split and i really did not have a penny. I hope this company blesses you to the fullest.

Had a problem with hot water not coming out of a faucet. Through it might be a clog and called Ben Franklin. The guy came out and was able to determine what was wrong and fixed it in 10 minutes. He offered me several options on how to take care of the problem before finding the actual problem. Very courteous and took the time to help. The price of the service call was reasonable. I will use this service again and highly recommend them.

DO NOT USE!! Benjamin Franklin Plumbing Yorkville does not honor their warranty. Initially quoted me thousands of dollars to replace a water heater that was still under warranty (both manufacturer and dealer warranty). Despite having the claim validated by the manufacturer, this location initially quoted me over $5,000 then told me it would cost between $1,000 and $2,000 to fill out the warranty paperwork, repipe the area to accommodate for the model change, and other charges. It was clear that they were trying to RIP ME OFF.

I used the DeKalb Benjamin Franklin Plumbing location who got the replacement water heater from the manufacturer and replaced it for $500.

Excellent experience. I had to have my bath tub drain replaced and a new tub installed and they did it all, at a fair price and in a timely manner. Excellent work Kyle and Ned!
