We had to have a new water heater installed and Ben Franklin Plumbing went above and beyond through all the BS of the day! Our property mgmt co contacted them to replace our WH. They came out quickly, were extremely courteous and respectful of my 18 yr old daughter that had to stay home to deal with the mess...well at some point the property owner decided he wanted a cheaper price, Ben Franklin got called to cease working and they had to load up the new water heater and leave. Gene called me to explain as best he could what was going on. After I was done ripping into my property mgmt Co, low and behold the owner realized he wasn't going to get another Co to install that day and Ben Franklin was sent back out. With just as much respect and courtesy as the first time. If ever I need these services I will never personally call anyone else. Thank you for making this CA transplant family feel like there IS someone they can depend on out here.

Poor service. I has my pipes cleaned out with water pressure because draining slow. 12 days later clogged again and Benjamin Franklin plumbers would only come out again at full weekend price. I called Hagar plumbing instead and not had a problem since.

We ended up paying about $700+ to get the sinks and toilets roto-rotored out and to have a leaky faucet in one bathroom repaired. Seriously!? Way overpriced and unprofessional.
Had to have 2 trips to fix clogged drains, a leaky shower faucet and leaky exterior faucets (and exterior faucets were never fixed). The first trip, the guy was very nice but even though we told him what needed to be done when booking the appointment, he did not bring what was needed and had to reschedule to complete it. He left the house so fast, that my mother in law (home owner) didn't realize he had left. The second trip, I was told they would be there "from" 8AM to 11AM. Come to find out, that meant they would be there some time between 8 and 11. They showed up about 10:30AM. The 2 guys kept asking my elderly mother in law "what the hell did the other guy do?" even though they were holding the current work order and a copy of the first guy's notes. First, my mother in law was very upset that they were in her house and "cussing" at her. Second, she said they spent most of their time outside by their work van talking on their cell phones and smoking. They fixed the leaky shower faucet and left. No one ever bothered to fix the exterior faucets.
They also gave us a quote to fix a slab leak for $4400. After the first visit, we scheduled the repair. After my mother in law name the second repairmen "Dumb and Dumber", we quickly cancelled it. A local plumber did the same work for $850. The first guy even "pinpointed" the leak to be under the kitchen floor. It was actually about 15 feet away in a utility room. That could have been sooo bad!

These guys charge by the job instead of by the hour. Lucky for me because what we thought was a simple clog turned out to be a nightmare. These plumbers were persistent and called in additional help as appropriate. The manager came out when it got complicated. Honest quotes were given. I appreciated the communication and persistence until the job was finished. Fair price. On time. I would hire again.
