We called Ben Franklin on Sunday due to a flood in our basement. Our sub pump had quit. We had over 6 inches of water. Ben Franklin said they would be there between 10-2 on Monday and never came. We finally got a call from them saying they might be able to come Tuesday. In the meantime my husband had called ROTO ROOTER and by 3:30 it was repaired and water was pumping out into the yard!!!! Thank you ROTO ROOTER!!!!!

We have been regular Benjamin Franklin customers since the early 90's and the business has changed A LOT from when we first became customers and often it was the franchise owner himself who came to meet our plumbing needs or the same select plumbers that we got to know and trust. It was a locally run business that took pride in their work and gave EXCELLENT customer service!!! Because the service really was personalized (you were remembered when you called and treated like a respected friend by all) and done with such care, the higher price for service that the nationwide company demands for their services actually did not seem exhorbitant. You could plan your day around your appointment time very closely and know that if you had an appt for 1 PM, often you might get a call asking if the plumber could come a little earlier and that if they ever were delayed (rarely happened) , you would get a phone call to explain why and an estimated time of arrival. Today appointments are set for a wide range of time often covering 4 to 6 hours and it is often a different plumber each time. All that being said, the service is ALWAYS professional, courteous, done cleanly and with care and any time that we have needed service urgently, they do their best to get someone out as fast as possible. They stand behind their work and have been very reliable for our household plumbing needs for the past 27 years. I do not hesitate to tell others that I have used ""Ben Franklin"" Plumbing for years.

Called to inquire about running a gas line, they said ""sure no problem"". Arranged to get someone to review the job between 4-6, same day!
NO SHOW & NO CALL.. Business must be really good, trying another outfit.

DONT EVER CALL BENJAMIN FRANKLIN PLUMBING! After estimating my problem they said need to replace all my cast iron plumbing. I thought this was odd. They didn't know I knew a lot about plumbing. IT WOULD COST OVER $6000.00 TO FIX MY PROBLEM! I said no just snake my line. He said THAT WILL COST $439.00. I said no thanks. A friend recommended a guy so I called him. Tyler who owns COUNTRY BOYS PLUMBING. 417-300-0353. The young man was very professional and had me up and running for $120.00. He also told me how to fix another problem that I can do myself. I will refer him to all my friends and clients from now on. I told him someone tried to stick it to me yesterday. He said "" who'd you call, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN""? My jaw dropped. He said he used to work there. There's a competition chart in the back to see who can upsell the most. And top weasels get commission. THIS IS THE SCOURGE OF THE HOME SERVICE PROFESSION. This is my profession. I can recommend many professionals who who are honest. Tyler is one of them. AGAIN, DONT USE BENJAMIN FRANKLIN PLUMBING! (The ones with the very nice trucks) please share!

We had some very serious issues with our sewage line causing an extreme inconvenience in regard to our toilets. We called Benjamin Franklin because a friend recommended them to me. I was shocked by how low the final price was and how quickly they were able to get to my house to fix the situation. Great local company! Great to work with. Hope we don't need them again, but would not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

I would recommend this Co. to anyone. My elderly mother needed new water pipes and bathroom work done. The team with Carl in the lead did a very good job within her financial range. They were all very neat and clean cut professional men. Did a nice job of cleaning up before leaving also. I will use then again.

They came and fixed our problem, however it was 32 hours after we first called. Their call center is NOT in Springfield, it is in Phoenix, Arizona and they had poor communication between the two. Called at 10am and was GUARANTEED they would be there that SAME day, they called at 6pm to tell us they couldn't make it that day and said it would be after 10am the next day. The next day at 5pm when no one had showed up I called them back, the tech made it to our house at 6pm. We are currently in communication with them to see if they back up their guarantee of $5 per minute they are late up to $300. Regardless, when you need a plumber you want them ASAP, we will find a more punctual plumber next time.

Very overpriced. We needed a regulator changed on our water heater and it ended up costing us over $900. We could have bought a new water heater for what they charged. We use Plumb Rite plumbing now. They DO Not charge just to come put like these con artists do.
