$441 to diagnose and repair a thermocoupler (with no warranty on the work). This is higher than any estimate I could find online, well outside the given range. Call back was prompt and the worker showed up right on time but they spent more time trying to sell me a whole new water heater than they spent on the actual problem and tried to really hedge on doing the repair, angling for that new system instead. The repair itself did not take long and worked great but due to the high cost I would not recommend this company and will not call them again. I should have done more homework first as most online reviews have similar complaints: prompt, courteous, but rakes you over the coals on cost.

We have had a service contract with Benjamin Franklin plumbing for years and find them reliable and professional. Recently, we had a difficult job and needed someone right away for a sewer back-up. They were prompt. Israel came first and was joined by Chad and Dave. The team did a fabulous job requiring ingenuity and perseverance. They were finally able to complete the job and were committed to not leaving until the job was successfully completed. They left the area spotless. They kept us apprised of progress and explained each step. They were always courteous and considerate and I admire their work ethic and professionalism. I'm grateful to have paid for the service contract and I'm sure I will be calling on them again.
