My toilet overflowed about an 1/8 of an inch of sewage water all over my bathroom floor. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in a panic and they were over within 30 minutes. That is where the good points about Benjamin Franklin Plumbing ends. The plumbers walked into my condo without booties on their boots which were covered in """"mud"""" and I'm sure bacteria. The main plumber stood in my bathroom in the raw sewage and told me how dangerous it was for my health then proceeded to walk out of the bathroom and through my condo in his sewage covered boots. I was shocked and when he walked back into my bathroom I asked him to please tell me if he needed to leave again so I could get him trash bags for his feet. He said ok. But, a few minutes later did the same thing, walking through my kitchen and all over my carpet. When I called this morning to ask them to come clean my carpet the woman on the phone told me it is not normal procedure for them to walk into a house without booties on. She assured me this would be taken care of and that she needed to alert the owner. The owner called my landlord, and after a great deal of discussion agreed to pay for HALF of the cost to clean the carpet. Half, after a grown man spent 30 minutes telling me how sick I could get if the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned and then walked through my house twice. I will never use this company again. I am so disgusted by the plumber and the management.

Our kitchen sink backed up the night before an important party we were throwing at our home. First thing the next day (Saturday) I tried to snake it myself but to no avail. I then called the plumber we had used for many years only to find his phone number to be disconnected. Going old school I opened the yellow pages and found Benjamin Franklin Plumbing's ad stating that they are locally owned & operated. I called immediately (10am) and the extremely friendly representative took all my information and promised that someone would be at my home by noon. By 10:45 Daniel called to say he was only 15 minutes away. At 11:00 Daniel arrived. His appearance, attitude and most importantly his efficiency & determination to open the clogged pipes were excellent. Also I felt I was charged a very fair rate considering it was a Saturday, and most other service companies would have added a weekend surcharge. I highly recommend this company.

Used them because was in a time crunch and they were available same day. But it came at a price. Over $800 for 2 hrs work. You're better off using a home warranty service. I'll know better next time

A Plumber came to my house after hours on the weekend and repaired a break in a PVC line connected to my well plumbing. I negotiated a lower price which apparently angered the Plumber and the call center. The Plumber did not use any material or even glue - they used the glue we purchased as we intended to self repair. We noted two days later that the pipe he had roped the pipe to hold until the glue set is broken on the other end connected to iron valve from the pump. My husband called and they were scheduled to come today and when I called to verify the time I was told that we are red flagged and they would not help us. We did not receive a call saying they were not coming and they hang up every time I try to call and ask to speak with the owner or manager. They are not incorporated in South Carolina or part of the Better Business Bureau. They are not a quality or professional organization if they hang up on customers whose property they damaged while on the premises. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.

I have been trying to have 2 leaks fixed for a month. I suppose the job was to small for other plumbing companies? Not for Benjamin Franklin plumbing! I was given an appointment immediately and they came out on time and fixed the leaks in a jiffy. Ricky and Tommy did such a professional job. What a relief! The price was reasonable. I will hire this company again with no reservations. I recommend this company to anyone who needs clean, courteous and skilled professionals to take care of their home. This is not a company interested in building a customer base or generating a referral base. We were excited to find Bob who came to repair our solar water heater. It took less than 15 mins to open a window and walk on the roof to see a part was needed. It was ordered and replaced again in about 15 mins. The labor costs were $500 and the part was $275. Certainly, obtain quotes as work is done by them.

I had a problem in the middle fo the night during a holiday week. I called benjamin franklin and after talking to David Carandante we decided this could wait a few hours. He arrived on time on saturday and fixed the issue in no time. I was impressed by the friendliness, the punctuality and the fact he fixed the issue. Plumbing is expensive but i did not mind paying to fix an issue on a weekend, after hours. I actually hired them for the regular annual maintenance of my tankless water heater because I liked their service. You hear a to of bad things about plumbers, that they are expensive and arrogant etc etc. I cannot recommend David and Benjamin Franklin Mount Pleasant more. A lot of the bad reviews are due to the fact that the company is under new ownership. If all the employees are like David and his assistant Pete, I see no reasons why these bad reviews should still exist.

Ben Franklin installed our tankless water heater eleven years ago. We recently discovered a few issues. I contacted them and even though the current owner did not own the company then, he sent someone out to verify the problem and the next day one of their plumbers came and fixed it. I am so impressed with the professionalism and integrity of this company. They truly stand behind their name, even if they didn't initially do the work. Very pleased.

We had a great experience with Derek & Aaron just yesterday. They were friendly, professional, courteous , solved our issue quickly and even helped diagnose some issues that I could resolve myself. They set me on the right path to fix an issue that another service had quoted several hundred dollars to repair. These two definitely created a long term customer with the visit yesterday. By focusing on helping me out instead of charging me the maximum amount, I know that Benjamin Franklin is a company I can trust next time I have a plumbing issue.

Terrible customer service. Called and talked to the agent for 9 mins and gave all the information. He promised that he would send a technician next day . The next day when called to follow up, I was surprised and the lady said they have no schedule till next week which is terrible after promising next day service. The excuse she gave for this blunder that their customer care guys have no access to scheduling. So if they do not have access why even they are receiving call and promising services? Not even worth a star....
