Called BFP to come check my toilet because it was leaking. They send a guy out and he tells me all the guts of the toilet need to be replaced, and that will be $187. I told him that's insane, he shows me the price book but that wasn't going to change my mind. Then roto-rooter comes out and the guy says ya, your gasket is worn. He said he didn't have one on the truck but I'm better off doing it myself plus the gasket is cheap. I get the $7 gasket and my toilet is fine. They tried to up sell me by doing work that was unnecessary, when it was only a $7 dollar gasket. I swear it was right out of a 20/20 under cover sting special.
SuzAnne S.Great customer service, fast response, nice and polite technician.
Seems like Super Bowl weekend 2014 and 2015 were the two times I needed a plumber like no ones business. Our laundry is in the basement and for some reason the laundry drain, dishwasher and kitchen sink all use the same drain pipe and this is where we have an issue. All the rest of the house pipes no issue.
$99.00 basic service call is just for them to come look at the issue, snake the pipe and clean it out. However, both times this company has been out, they cannot locate the clean out pipe that should be outside of the house- Not their fault-- we can't find it, our most excellent neighbor cant find it and there is another plumbing company that came when we first moved in -- and they can't find it.... I mean where the heck is it? anyway I digress. Both times the tech was able to clean the problem out from the basement area, but its simply a temporary fix.
So our first bill was about $600.+ and the second was $400.+ we use the Ben Franklin Bio Ben stuff and so far it has helped. Ben Franklin plumbing was pretty darn good considering our homes has that clean out issue.
Agree with Phil. Was charged 499.00 for a 75.00 kitchen faucet and install. Will never use again and do not recommend.
WARNING - I used this company recently and was ripped off. They charged me $378 to replace a toilet tank's flapper, fill valve, fill tube and connecting hose. The parts would have cost me about $15 at Home Depot. It took the guy 20 minutes to do the job. He also recommended unnecessary work. All this for because the flapper was leaking. I have replaced each of these items myself several times in the past but currently have a hand injury so I called them without any recommendation which was a mistake. I had to get the job done quickly for a tenant so I went with it and I'm sorry I did. The job should have cost in the $125 - $150 range. In my opinion these people are crooks.
Free estimate. No pressure sales approach. They install Rheem hot water heaters which is what I was looking for.
