We had a so-called FREE safety inspection and it cost us $380 and left us with a mess! The plumber turned the shutoff valve under one bathroom sink and said that it needed to be replaced. Then he proceeded to turn the other shut-off valve under a second sink. Water started spraying all over the cabinet contents, and he told us that it needed to be replaced, also. At this point, he went to grab a bucket from his truck and shut off the water at the main shut-off valve as I was trying to contain the water that was getting all over the items under my sink and remove them at the same time. I would have happily taken these items out prior to him overly turning the pipe - but instead I was left with a wet mess! We have NEVER had a problem with any leaks prior to him turning that knob. He replaced the angle stop shut off valve under each sink, and then gave us a bill of $380 to replace these valves. (And that was with a veteran's discount) The part is available at Home Depot for less than $10. And it took approximately 15 minutes to replace the valves. Then, this past weekend, my son, who is a maintenance mechanic, looked over the parts that were removed and noticed that there was nothing wrong with one of the valves! I contacted Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Kingman directly on their website, but have not received any reply. What a ripoff!

These guys have no clue what they are doing. Had a problem with a septic line at my rental home. They snaked it, charge me 1K and told me it was fixed. A month later same problem. They came back out. Said it wasn't covered under warranty because it was a new problem. Broken seal on the toilet this time. They charged me another $1K to fix it and clear it again. A month later.... same problem. This time I went to a different plumber. He identified a break in the line. Fixed it, and charged me $600. Tried to contact BF Management with my complaint that they never corrected the problem. They never returned my calls.
Funny thing, they still telemarket me after telling them the story and telling them to put me on their DO NOT CALL list. Never any apology. They just called again, which is what prompted me to write this review.
Do not use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Kingman AZ if you have a septic problem. They are incompetent.

This is one of the most expensive company that pre-sets the prices for their plumbers who are employees. Some are better then others. Arron and Austin were efficient, did clean up and go the extra distance and were very polite.

Don't use this company. I was exposed to a gas leak with my new water heater they installed for five months. I had no idea there was a leak I was sick all the time and my grand daughter opened the door to the water heater in my small home and told me that it stinks. The plumber lied about replacing all valves and did not check for gas leaks. I'm a 65 year old female that trusted this company. They did fix it replaced all the parts I had already paid for five months earlier. I have repeatedly called and emailed the owner. I have still not gotten a response from him. I could have died from the gas leak exposure.

My grandmother had sewage water backing up into the house (laundry room and bathtub drains) from a clogged pipe. This happened around 8 pm. I called Ben Franklin Plumbing (BFP) in Kingman and they said they'd be there first thing in the morning, around 9 am. At 9 am, I called to find out when they would arrive and they said between 9-11 am. At 11 am I called and they said before noon. At noon (now 16 hours without water/toilet) and no plumber, I called to cancel my service request. I called another plumber and he showed up within 30 minutes! A little after 1:00 pm, the plumber from BFP shows up. His company never told him that I had cancelled the service request! So I cannot rate BFP on their actual plumbing expertise, but their internal and external communications are terrible.

Our septic tank was backing up the toilets at our home on Pinion Pines. I called several pumbing companies in Kingman. No one had any availability to come up. One company offered to come up that evening but for time and a half. I called Benjamin Franklin and was told they would be able to come that afternoon. What a relief! Eric Campbell was our technician and he was so nice. He snaked our clean out and made our problem go away. He was very informative and helpful. He recomended we purchase insurance for future issues. My husband is a retired police officer and he also signed us up for the Heroes program. It helped us save money and they will check your system for no charge. I'm so glad I called Benjamin Franklin and absolutely would recommend that to everyone we know!

Eric came to our house on time an unclog our main sewage line, No hesitation on the work he done, I highly recommend Eric with his knowledge an performance. I will call him back thank you

We had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing out to flush our water heater. We are enrolled in the Hero's Program, so it was a no charge maintenance, Eric arrived on time and ready to work. We had a couple of other things for him to check for us while he was here, which he did without complaint. Eric had been here before to replace shower fixtures for us and did a remarkable job. We have been using Benjamin Franklin for about 5 years and never had to have them come back to redo anything. Are they more expensive? Yeah, but no more than any other company in town, I checked. Eric has always been friendly and professional, answering any questions without hesitation. We will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs. Thanks Eric!!

the technician was rather rude when he arrived and made me feel like I was an inconvenience to him and he told me that he wanted to be on another job that day that guaranteed him money in sales. I advised the technician that he was to give an estimate of work needing performed prior to doing any work and he verbalized understanding. I left him to do the inspection and phoned my client, the homeowner. Once I ended that phone call, I proceeded to work on my laptop while waiting for the technician to approach me with the estimate which seemed to be taking a long time. When the tech came to me to give, what I thought would be the required estimate, I was told that he took it upon himself to do some of the work that, as he put it""would not be guaranteed work"" but because he had to come so far out to the home that he wanted to walk away with payment even though he would be getting paid anyway by the company for the drive. I reminded him that he was to give an estimate prior to doing any work and that he was not authorized to do any repairs. He stated that the faucets in the home were factory faucets and needed to be replaced and that he would NOT recommend us purchasing new faucets from his company but rather purchase elsewhere and then he would charge $269 per faucet for the install. He then told me, again, that he had stopped the leak but did not guarantee his work and that he expected $269.00 per faucet (there were 2 in the master bathroom) he ""worked on"" while at the home that day but would take $269.00 total if I would just pay him that day. I phoned the home owner and advised of what had happened and she was not at all happy with the service and the fact that we were now being told we have to pay $269 when we were expecting exactly what we asked for, an estimate. I was told by the home owner that she was not prepared to pay anything for the visit as we did not authorize any repairs to be done at that point. When I got off the phone, I was met again by the tech who had taken it upon himself, again, to wander through the home and find the hot water heater and performed an inspection on it and on the second bathroom and toilets. He told me that the hot water heater had numerous leaks and that the toilets were not filling properly and that if I would agree to order the hot water heater with him that he would give a 15% discount and do the toilet repairs for free and that the water heater would cost over $3000.00. I phoned the homeowner back and let the two of them speak and then she and I spoke again. She was not pleased with the things the tech had told her and she said it sounded shady. The next day, the tech phoned my cell from his personal cell and asked if I had spoke to the home owner to get an approval and that he would cancel his appointments for the enxt day or Thursday to do all the repairs. I did not schedule anything with him. The home owner had me call another plumber for a second opinion and they opted for the other company because of the way I was treated when the tech arrived and because the estimate was supposed to be free but then my company, Every Nook & Kranny, was charged $269.00 for repairs I did not approve, nor was it professional for the tech to tell me that the owner of his company had poor communication skills and that he didn't even want to be on this call (mine) because it was not going to be the big money he planned on nor did he want to drive all that way just to do a free estimate.
The bottom line is this. I called and was told by you that I would receive a free estimate before any work was done. I was met by a very rude tech who took it upon himself to do work that not only I was charged for, but that he would not guarantee. Within an hour or so after he left, the faucet not only still had a leak but it was much worse than when he started. I had to have another plumbing company come out at the request of the home owner to get estimates on the work that needed to be done.
I lost $325.00 in missed appointments and my company has never canceled appointments with clients before.; not only did my company lose $325.00 in client appointments that I had scheduled but then I was charged $269.00 by your company for a repair that was not authorized and was not guaranteed and that was worse after the ""repair"" than when he started. We will not be hiring your company to do any work in the future.

We used this company for non-emergency service & quickly discovered they r most expensive plumbers in the area! We hv never called them again & got a good referral from our RE agent who has worked out great for us w reasonable prices & even seemed cheap after BF
Try them if u wish or Im happy if you hv better experience then we did but be aware of their high costs for everything & there are other options available to you
