A few years ago I hired Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to install a dryer. They came out, got it installed quickly and everything seemed great.

Until about a year later I started noticing a faint gas smell on my clothes. I called the gas company to come out and check things out and they found the gas connection to my dryer was loose and slowly leaking gas. -1 point for Benjamin, but I didn't bother with a review because things happen and who knows if it somehow worked it's way loose.

Then a few years later I have a vent cleaner out to clean the vent and you know what he tells me? The dang vent isn't even connected to the outside! All this lint has been collecting in my ceiling all this time. Can anyone say FIRE HAZARD?

Then said vent cleaner started laughing at the electrical tape that Benjamin used on the dryer vent.

When I told him it was Benjamin Franklin that installed it he said ""not surprised - they have a horrible reputation.""

So basically...

One of the looting service, I was vip member with them 3 years, one time to replace toilet flush Pipe to replace they were asking 250 and I did myself with $5. Today I called them to replace existing water softner with new one and they gave me the quote of 1250, and I am replacing this with other guy with just $150. I don't know how people are hiring them. Only good feed back is they are always on time

I had a clogged sink and it was far enough down the line I couldnt get to it with my 25ft auger. Guy had it done in 10 min. Awesome. What wasnt awesome was the 250 he charged to do it. I called other companies after (stupid I know) to see what they charge and it was 125 to 150. Half as much. Dont use them, way to expensive. Roto rooter will charge you half. Or better yet. Rent an electric one for 40 bucks.

First time reviewer, but this poor service forced my hand. Family is a long time customer of their service plans, however turns out that they can't fix a leaky faucet over four separate visits over a two month period. Finally had to asked them for a referral for a real plumber to fix their mistake, only then were they able to fix the problem. Their technicians then accused us of trying to get the repair for free, we told them no, we will gladly pay, if the faucet is repaired. We do not approve of argumentative employees who take out their anger on the customers just because they have to return to fix a repair.

I had a sink installed and a leak in a pipe fixed. $860. Way to expensive. After the plumber left the drain in the sink was leaking. He came right back and fixed it. The faucet was not forking correctly. Called back the next day and they wanted another $125. The plumber took the directions that came with the sink, so I did not know how to fix it. Called a local handyman that came and said he did not hook the faucet cable up right. Never ever call Ben Plumbing . I will make it my mission that they get no buisness in this area again.

The Appt. was set the day I spoke with a customer service rep. She said I was on standby but with in a few hours Eric arrived. Eric was kind, friendly, speedy and knowledgeable and he didn't mind my cat being nosey. I highly recommend Benjamin Franklin. It was very affordable too.

We asked for Jon to do the plumbing work because he provided such a complete solution to a problem that led us to call Benjamin Franklin several months ago. The service rep Laura got Jon to our house within a few days of our request, and Jon delivered another stellar job. We will call on them again whenever we encounter a problem that requires skills beyond my DYI capabilities.

I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Hastings, MN and they immediately set up an appointment. Jon W. called me with an arrival time and was here as scheduled. He did a thorough diagnostic, explaining how he would repair my concerns as well as other things that I should look for. He wasn't pushy in this but spoke from his experience as a plumber. He did good work, reminded me of coupons available on their website and was a nice person whom I welcomed in my house. I will turn to Benjamin Franklin for future plumbing needs as well as their other areas for home repair.
