Initially they seemed like a decent deal but as time went on, their visits were essentially a salesman who might get to the plumbing or hvac if they'd just shut up and do the work.
The straw that broke the camel's back, was when a plumber showed up to fix two leaks, one a valve and one a burst pipe. He was late by several hours, as in 7pm instead of 12 - 4 or so... He blamed the dispatcher repeatedly and other employees, changes in staff etc... then he tells me that the visit was not covered in our plan. Since he was late and I just wanted him done and out of the house I showed him the harder job and watched how he did it, what supplies he had, and then went to a big box hardware store for the right supplies and did the other project myself.
So, I wrote a check for his repair and visit, then find out is was indeed covered in our plan. We put stop payment on the check and the company person who answered the phone confirmed that the visit was indeed covered.
Later, someone who identified themselves as a manager called asking why our check ""bounced""... we explained the situation. He also blamed recent personnel changes etc.... We discontinued all our contracts with the plumbing and their hvac and do all our own work now. The manager didn't even try to keep us as customers nor seemed in the least concerned that they had tried to charge us for a service that was already paid for! Go online and learn how to do the stuff yourself........

Service tech performed work to be performed without giving a quote. We felt the work performed was priced way too high. If we had known what the service/fee was going to be we would not have allowed the work to be performed.

Friendly scheduling staff, Edward the repair man arrived on time and was professional, kind and courteous. I needed our main replaced so I had the privilege to meet Art (Arthur Bell). Again he was very prompt, professional and provided excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Edward and Arthur from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing 4219-A Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD 21102. When scheduling the initial appointment for my water heater on my new house I was told by a representative from Benjamin Franklin plumbing that the previous owner had the service agreement with them. When the technician came out he informed me that this house has never been serviced by them and I should call the install company as they were still under warranty. He then charged me $49. When I called to question this charge as well as the information that the girl had previously provided about the service agreement, I was told they will need to review the recorded call and they will get back to me ""sometime"". ""Until then the $49 ""service"" charge stands. I have never dealt with a company that not only questions my integrity, but also does not provide a followup date/ time for resolving the issue. I would never have had this company come out if I knew they were not the ones who previously serviced the units.
