So i called on a Saturday afternoon knowing that I was not going to get any service done on a weekend. They answered the call i said i needed to locate a pipe in the basement floor that's all i needed from them. So they lady said they could come out Tuesday afternoon between the hours of 2-5 so i siad okay. So Tuesday came and i took the afternoon off work so i can meet the technician here and i got to the house around 1 pm. So i hung around the house waiting for a call. So 3:45 came and i haven't heard anything from them so i called the company amd asked if the technician was still coming out here. The dispatcher said yes he is and i will call you when he is on his way to your house. So another hour goes by and no call from them. So 440 comes and i get all call from the dispatcher saying he is on his way so i say okay thats fine. Waited till 5 no one has yet came or no call. 5:10 pm comes and get a call from dispatcher saying the technician is going home because he doesn't work after 5pm can we rescheduled for tomorrow morning. I say no i cant miss work again. I already took tye afternoon off to be here. So i told him they need to find someone to come out here. To do the job. He said no they cant so i said never mind just cancel the appointment so he said okay and pretty much hung up the phone on me without trying to work something out. Really bad company to deal with.

NOT the ""Punctual Plumber""!!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Our kitchen sink backed up on both sides. I called at 3pm and was told someone would respond in 2 hours. At 9pm with no response, I rescheduled to first thing next morning. I was contacted at 7:50am and told tech would be here at 8:15 - responding from within Ft. Collins. I called back at 9:15 as no one had shown up. Initially told he was tied up in traffic... you could WALK across Ft. Collins in one hour! Then the dispatcher told me it was due to truck mechanical issues and could be another 2-3 hours. I cancelled as it was clear they didn't want my business! I called Drain Doctors (recommendation from my regular plumber) and they showed up within 30 minutes! Although Ben Franklin says the visit is only $29, I have now heard the charges for service are astronomical!

We called Benjamin Franklin plumbing on Saturday because we needed help with our diy project to replace a toilet. We were told that they had a plumber on call who would be able to come out and help us that evening. We were also told they would send an email confirmation which we never received. We called at 7 p.m. and waited until 8:15 p.m. and called again to check on the arrival time since no one had called or shown up. We were guaranteed the plumber would come out that night and someone would call us back. At 10 p.m. we called again to see why no one had yet arrived. This time, a woman answered and said she would make a few calls to see what time the plumber would be arriving. She did not call back either. We called one more time around 10:30 p.m. and talked to another woman to cancel the appointment. She said a manager would call us Sunday morning. Well, once again no one called because they apparently do not care about their customers. We would advise others not to use this company since they are completely unreliable and if they are this irresponsible they are not likely to do a good job.

These guys are complete rip off, they over charge and does a horrible job. Beware of these scammers. Read carefully before you sign any contracts. I had plumbing issue that was connected to the main line, a tree root got inside PVC connector, they charged me almost $5 k to dig and remove that root. They completely destroyed my lawn and did not put anything back to original condition. It was a three hour job and destruction they caused was beyond repair, I should have called the cops on them for vandalizing my lawn. They go Lion Services and Benjamin Franklin, I would never recommend these guys to anyone. The guy who took the toilet out left a huge mess inside and throughout the whole house, did not caulk the toilet either. I will be calling BBB soon about their unethical business practices.

We had them come out to set a tub in a bathroom remodel. We were in a bind for time as our scheduled plumber had to go out of town on a family emergency. They came out on a Saturday morning and after two hours and after calling in a second guy as back up, he said he couldn't finish the job but would be back on Tuesday morning; said he needed parts.
He came back on Tuesday and brought a second guy with him but after working for an hour, he said they couldn't set the tub unless we removed part of the wall, or removed most of the rest of the drywall in the bathroom, because the tub was too large for the space. The charge for these two days was $1,000, and the plumbing is not finished.
The next morning my contractor was able to come by and he set the tub by himself in under 15 minutes.
We still need to get a plumber to come back and finish the plumbing but it won't be anyone from Ben Franklin/Lion Service!

This is a follow up review to my previous ""excellent"" review. In the initial visit, Benjamin Franklin/Lion Plumbing came to our home, for a water emergency we had, the job was temporarily taken care of, while other pressing emergencies were attended to. In their next visit to fix the initial plumbing job, there were issues.
1. My husband, which was out of town, left written instructions. I had the plumber, Andrew, read them and asked him if he had any questions. I even offered to get my husband on the phone. He said he didn't have any questions. When my husband arrived back from his trip, he went to check on the plumbing job. His directions were not followed. The job was not completed as my husband requested.
2. On the day the job was completed, the invoice was given for me to sign, there was an inaccurate statement that was a secondary crack found. I refused to sign this invoice with that statement, as there originally was not a secondary crack. There was only one crack caused by a frozen pipe. Andrew caused the secondary crack while fixing the original pipe. This took almost an hour of the plumber going back and forth with the supervisor and the plumber going back and forth with me. I kept refusing to sign it. It was eventually removed, but I requested a secondary statement/receipt stating a secondary issue was caused by the plumber and zero charge to us. Per Andrew, I would receive a phone call, from the supervisor to get the secondary receipt.
3. Prior to him leaving, I informed him that I wanted all the damaged parts. Those parts were not given to me. I called the company as soon as he drove off, I emailed the plumber directly (which to this day 2/27/19), I have not heard from him, I've spoken to numerous employees and his supervisor. The parts have not been brought back. The plumber told his company that he spoke to me, after he left, (he did not) and he brought them back and placed them on my front patio, (he did not, we have video surveillance). He has never returned to our home.
4. Regarding the separate receipt statement , stating a secondary damaged pipe, (which the plumber damaged while fixing the initial damaged pipe), I have yet to receive it. I have spoken to the supervisor numerous times requesting this statement along with the damaged pipes. I have also sent video surveillance clips. It's been over a week. I have not received any calls from Benjamin Franklin/Lion Plumbing. Actually, they have never called me back, I have initiated ALL calls regarding these issues. No action has been taken on our behalf.

Elderly BEWARE! My mother called Benjamin Franklin to install a toilet she had purchased from Home Depot. While a Benjamin Franklin truck pulled up to the house, Lions Home Service was on the business card. The toilet came with the wax ring, bolts and tubing. They simply had to remove the old toilet (in a brand new house) and replace it with a new one. They charged my mother $500 for an hour and a half (max) of labor. I could have flown my husband out from California (round trip) to install it for half of that. They didn't even need to haul the old toilet away. Scamming the elderly is despicable!
Side note, my mom is on a fixed income living with family. It is not her new home. My mom could have used that money (that she was overcharged) for prescription costs. Shame on this company!

No stars should be attached!!! Well I think we will be canceling our set up time and service. My 83 year old grandpa felt pressured to get services he didn't want and knew he didn't need, ""I just got tired of arguing with the guy"" So I hear lawsuit in the future of this company!

At first they were okay. Then came damage to our house during the sewer repair. Not only have they not fixed it months later, but they've sent contractors to ""look at the damage"", who were supposed to return within a week. Never happened. Another two months of being told they will call back, and I'm back to trying to get the new contractor to fix the damage.

Honestly, I would not even give this company ONE star. They deserve no stars. Benjamin Franklin came out to my elderly (84 yrs.) mother's home and installed a 40 gallon water heater to the tune of $2,561.00, plus they sold her a one year warranty for $299.00. Total bill was $2,860.00. This is an outrageous price - and gouging the elderly, and anyone else who uses them. When I called to get an explanation as to the reasons why this water heater cost so much, the project manager, Rob, simply stated that that is their price. I asked if there was anything special about it - any thing at all that would jack the cost up so much, and still, he held firm and stated that that is their price; he then stated the full list price, and the amount my mother paid (above) as a 'discounted price'. I've been around long enough working with flip homes and rental homes - NONE of those properties have ever had a water heater installed that was any where near that expensive. In fact, I got two brand-new, current quotes from other known licensed professionals, and their prices were both hovering around the ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR MARK for a 40 gallon water heater - installed.
Not only are Benjamin Franklin's prices grossly expensive, but their project manager failed to offer me a reasonable explanation for the extremely over-inflated cost of this appliance.
I do NOT recommend using this company.
