Way over priced. I needed a shower faucet repaired. I was quoted over $700 to replace faucet, if they couldn't find a replacement.

After I received the quote, I got on the internet and found the repair part for $75 from HD online. The $700 fix would have still left me with a hole in my sheetrock. Avoid unless you are in an emergency situation.

Oh yeah, I still had to pay $60 to have them come give me the ridiculous quote.

I had a water pressure regulator that needed to be replaced on a Sunday morning. I gave them a call and their plumber Gary arrived about an hour later. It took him just a few minutes to confirm my diagnoses & then gave me two different possible price quotes based on a best & worse case scenario. Gary was very friendly, helpful, and informative throughout the process & able to complete the work within the cheaper of the two quotes.i will definitely be using them again!

Update: Brad from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing reached out to me and was understanding of my bad experience. He ended up refunding me $460. Although I still feel like the installer overcharged my wife for the work that was done, I am appreciative that they were willing to listen and make an effort to rectify my experience.

This company should not have a ""request a quote"" option with a 1 hr turnaround listed when all they respond with is a generic note asking you to call their office. When I did call, a very unhelpful lady told me there would be a $59 service charge just to come out and could not tell me any information whatsoever about typical costs for very common repairs (fixing a washer on a leaky faucet). This is information is not a ""quote"" and is something that could just be listed on their website to save people the time of sending a Yelp message and then needing to call. I will be giving my business to another more transparent company that is not afraid to tell me how much common services typically cost. NOTE: This is a review of the customer service and not of actual plumbing service since I did not hire them.

WAY overpriced...and I mean like double. The work was completed...I had to go get a part myself, and it took more time than expected. However, they did complete the job. They are just grotesquely overpriced. Be patient, use someone else.

If you have any questions...look at the response to my review. No accountability. Again, WAY overpriced. Steer clear!!

From the start felt like a professional, established company. Quickly responsive. Came the same day I called. Had a toilet that was not flushing properly in the house we just bought - found an offer on Angie's list for a full house plumbing inspection. Daniel was very friendly and helpful, explained everything as he went. We decided to update the flushing mechanisms on both toilets. Price was reasonable, the job was very well done and he did a few other helpful touch ups while he was here, which was great. Would recommend the company and Daniel.

I am so disappointed with this company seeing all the positive posts. I requested a quote and wanted a leak fixed. The charged was $250+ to replace a couple of springs and a washer in my faucet which I could have purchased a full new faucet at a pro plumbing store for less than half the price. The guy that came took less than 5 minutes to fix and handed me the bill. I asked about a possible leak and got excuses why he couldn't check it will never do this again, put on invoice it was a rebuild? The most unprofessional and expensive service I have ever had. Was never offered the society rate, just poor service! Don't use unless you are ready to pay a huge bill.

This was one of the worst plumbing experiences ever!!! I live in Nashville and I called Benjamin Franklin to find out why my toilet was taking 30 minutes to fill & my sink had no water flow. This guy shows up and takes a look at the toilet & sink in less than 10 mins., comes out and take longer writing up the plan than it did to look at the problem. Tells me my toilet and sink are old and needs to be replace for over $1100 or repaired for over $600 or even better I can join their membership program and they will wave the $59 service fee and repair everything for $425 and they will charge me $8 per month and come out and check my plumbing a few times a year. In all this he never diagnosed the actual problem, but was able to come up with a price! I called Hers & His Plumbing they came out diagnosed the problem, not only fixed my bathroom but a leak under my kitchen sink too. 40 minutes and less than $300 later I was back in business! Ben Franklin Plumbing should be wearing a mask & carrying a gun....cause I got robbed of $59 and 30 minutes I can never get back! As a hair stylist I will be letting all my clients, friends & family know don't waste your time calling Good ol' Ben Franklin.

I'm amending my previous review somewhat. Benjamin Franklin did return my $59 service fee, I guess that's something. However I still stand firm on the rest of my review. How do you give someone the cost of a repair if you haven't diagnosed the problem. I'm not saying you're a scammer, I'm just saying you're displaying scamish behavior.
