We have used Benjamin Franklin in the past and will continue to call them, every time. David Marr came out & offered his expert advice on our furnace. We were anticipating thousands of dollars in either repairs or replacement & thankfully it was just the thermostat. Good, professional and courteous businesses are hard to find, especially in the Grand Valley. We are very appreciative of this business and will recommend them, every time!!

Do not use this company for any reason even if it is an emergency, $910 for an hours work on a small job. Then quoted a price three times more than out of town company, which by the way has excellent reviews, for another plumbing repair. I also know this franchise company has has bad reviews for a long time. When I lived in Colorado Springs five years ago this same bunch was being sued by several individuals and construction contractors for shoddy work and materials. Do not use them!!!!!!!!!!

We came home from being out of town to 100 degree heat and a swamp cooler that wasn't ready for the summer. My retired-plumber husband, who has 2 replaced knees, could not get on the roof, so I called Ben Franklin Plumbing after reading good Yelp reviews.

I expected our service call to be weeks out but was happily surprised to have an appt within 24 hrs. I was both texted and called to confirm, and Alex Burruel was right on time. So refreshing to have my time respected! Alex was pleasant, thorough and clearly knew what he was doing. My husband was very impressed, and having been a Master Plumber and business owner for 30 years that says a lot! Alex and Elias were both great! And I say that sitting in my cooled-down home:)

I will call Ben Franklin and ask for Alex for any future plumbing needs. I highly recommend them! Thank

900 some dollars for an hours worth of work! No thank you . What a rip off. You'll be happy if you look elsewhere .

They charged $336 for replacing a $10 toilet water supply valve. Outrageously expensive company. Will gouge you for all they can get. Use another contractor. The work was fine , but the cost was very unreasonable.

They were the only company in town who could next day replace a 30 year old furnace. I expected to pay a bit more because of the urgency and appreciated the response time. They were personable and professional and seemed to care about my situation. Later, I had some plumbing work with them and I thought their prices were on the high side. They came down some on that, but I still think it was higher than is should have been. I always wonder if women get treated differently with pricing. Not just them, but other local plumbers. Overall, satisfied but felt vulnerable to price inflation due to my gender. Their strength was the personalized approach. They offer financing but interest rates are high.

We were ripped off by the operations manager at Montrose. He used our used pipes and repaired a sump system that should have been totally replaced for the cost of several thousand. Also very slow to respond and giver itemizations of labor and products. Charges taxes, misc. To run up the bill.

I live in Gunnison and was put off and forgotten by Alpha Mechanical. I reset the appointment but, not before it was suggested that I may need to replace my boiler for $10k. Really? I called Ben Franklin and they had a service tech here the next day. Guess what? No new boiler, just a thorough cleaning and service. $486.00. The tech ( Royce) was professional, knowledgeble, courteous and thorough. These folks get 10 stars in my opinion. Thanks Ben Franklin!
Gunnison customers need to utilize these guys!!!! By the way, the svc tech was a licensed plumber...

Ben Franklin came out to look at a job that we called them about in April. We knew we had a slow leak between the main water line and our house. We were told they could get to it the next day. It is our fault we did not ask for an estimate, but did not get one. They sent another small company out to do the job because they were too busy, but we were not told that.
It was an involved job, we had to have concrete taken out to get to leak. It was done all in 2 days. We were gouged and amazed at price charged! What a disappointment! The area was left and not cleaned up where the digging was done. And Ben Franklin did not follow up with us to see how the job turned out. Ben Franklin got paid also, even though they did nothing but refer the job to another business. We will not use them again.
