Today I was serviced by Jeff, senior advisor from Benjamin Franklin's Carrollton office. All I can say is Jeff was early, very respectful covering and uncovering his shoes as he walked in and outside, and extremely knowledgeable. He knew without a lot of guessing as to what the problem was, and fixed in quickly. Unfortunately we had another plumber from THD come out the previous day, and after taking time to diagnose the problem, and a $257 bill claimed it required a totally different solution. If I knew I would always get Jeff to service my house, I would be more amenable to using them even though their pricing is higher than most.

I just got great service from Benjamin Franklin plumbing. They got here quickly, gave me a great price and they were professional. Justin did not rush in and try to get to the next job. He took the time to find out what was wrong and then fixed it! And he didn't try and rip me off. Quite the opposite.

This is the worst plumbing company in the world. I called them to fix a leaking toilet. The repairman was supposed to show up between 4 and 6:00. He arrived at 5:55 on Friday night. He spent 2 hours working on the toilet and charged me $625! The next morning (Saturday) it was still leaking. An experienced plumber came out Saturday morning and had it fixed in a matter of minutes and reported the other guy had installed the wrong flange. Oh, yes, my check cleared Saturday morning! I can't believe this company is still in business. The apparently spend all that extra money on advertising. I have since found an excellent plumber who is honest and does not rip me off!

On April 15, 2016 I called Benjamin Franklin to repair a plumping leak at 2748 Vista Bluff Blvd. in Lewisville, Texas. Mr. Chuck of your company showed up and proceeded to inspect my home in order to locate the leak. He wanted $585 up front and I gave it to him. After he searched using some sort of leak locating equipment he told me that the leak was located outside the house below the foundation at the center of the front entry foyer. I had my doubts about this and told him so. I suspected that the leak was inside the house along the wall where I first saw water saturation penetrating the floor and walls. But 'NO' he said, the leak was under the foundation. Unfortunately, after digging 23 feet under the foundation he discovered that the leak was not under the foundation after all. He was so sure and cocky that it was where he had said it was. So, he decided to look in the house and finally told me that he was going to have to repair the leak in the house above the inside floor where I had told him it was. I questioned him about the instruments he had used and how effective were they in detecting plumbing leaks He did not answer me. The detectors apparently did not work very well or I was bamboozled. They refilled the trench but took quite a bit of dirt from it and loaded it onto a trailer and took off. Also, they did not properly rebury a mature evergreen bush that was next to the house and consequently died. A day later I noticed some water coming from the area of the of the trench and called Chuck about it. He showed up sometime later, inspected and said that there was another leak next to the original one. At this time, I wondered if he had fixed the wrong one the first time and think he replaced the wrong one. He then proceeded to repair the second leak. He suggested that I call the insurance and claim a second leak. He had full access to the tubing from the first repair and had to cut one other space only in the dry wall to install the second plastic pipe. So now I had two plastic lines and three bills to contend with. The first was $585, the second was $7750 and the third was $4750 for a total of $13,085. I understand consumers are entitled to expect quality service that can be carried out with competent technicians with due care and skill. As you can see from what I have described, the work could not be considered to be of workmanship quality. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that reasonable care and skill must be used while working in your profession. In my opinion, reasonable care and skill was not used to make both calculated repairs. I called Chuck several times regarding cutting and an evergreen bush that died and the tunnel dirt hauled away on a trailer, but never got a call back. I look forward to your reply.

Brendon Watts was our Benjamin Franklin Plumbing Plumber and he did an excellent job of replacing a broken toilet flange and reinstalling our toilet. This is not an easy assignment and takes serious plumbing skills/practice. He was on time, efficient and friendly. I highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to all my neighbors! Thank you Brendon. 8v)

Called them for quotes for my toilet leak. The prices are outrageous and way overpriced. Over $400 to fix a toilet leak. They are WAY overpriced. $320 to put a new fill valve and flapper in my toilet.

Flapper and supply also $320.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!The plumber came into my home with an attitude. Refused to even diagnose the problem just told me replace it or leave it as and also laughed at me in my own home. spoke to his supervisor about his plumbers attitude but that was a waste of time because no one in the office or his supervisor cared about a new customer complaint. They know a customer complaint will not effect there business in anyway because there too large of a business

Called to ask about a quote to replace 2 fully functioning toilets. The man who answered the phone was very hard to understand. Slurred his speech and spoke like he was reading a script and did not care.

He told me he needed to send a tech to assess the situation for $79 then would schedule another trip to com back to install the toilets for an additional $79 charge on top of the price of work.

So I asked what if I buy toilets and you come out and install them. H refused to give me a price or even a ballpark.

After reading the other reviews I understand why they don't even have a 3 star.

Their first plumber tried to over quote us without bother looking around the house to see what we have first.

We complained and ask for a second plumber and he was 3 hours late in the next appointment.

Beware, these guys overcharge and up sell things that are not needed.
