Their first plumber tried to over quote us without bother looking around the house to see what we have first.
We complained and ask for a second plumber and he was 3 hours late in the next appointment.
Beware, these guys overcharge and up sell things that are not needed.

If you got money to waste choose this company.Several month ago they installed a new water heater at my house. A few weeks later we discovered a leak cause of poor sodering.Luckily our city requires automatic shutoff sensor in case off leak. This saved us from major flooding. In october 2013 we discovered a leak in our yard.We called Benjamin Franklin .The same mechanic showed up and told us about 500 dollar for the first 2 hours digging and leak locating. He started digging at the water meter and quickly run out of daylight since it was in the afternoon. He told us he would be back in the morning, that he was in experts in leak detection and bring a geo phone (what ever that is) and quickly find the leak.He came back with a couple of hispanic diggers which even spoke english. They kept up digging and tearing up the yard.In the meantime he approached us with an $4300 cost estimate.Everything was torn up in the front yard and we reluctantly agreed. He finally found the leak next to the house foundation. He sodered in a new piece of copperpipe, added a second shutoff valve close to the house were the leak was.You would think a guy with his selfproclaimed experience level would figure out earlier were the leak is.He was was just running up the bill. After very poorly covering up the trenches they dug they left after we paid. Not surprisingly last week we had another leak in the front yard, called Benjamin Franklin. The same mechanic showed up went strait were he previously sodered and said his soder did not hold(warranty coverage). He resodered and left without making sure there was no more leak.Sure enough there was still a leak at another spot were they previously dug it up chasing the leak.We called them again and after dark another mechanic showed up and said they had not worked at that area and it was not covered by their warranty.Called the manager in charge and he told me the same thing.I dug it up finally my self and somebody had damaged our sprinklerline to the shut off valve when they previously dug it up and it finally leaked.I fixed it myself took me 1 hour.No courtesy at all from this company. Save your hard earned dollars and run away from this company. If I could give this service a 1/2 star I would. . Gross overcharge of service. bill. Ridiculous. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, EVER! BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER. PRICING RIDICULOUS.

Last Friday a water pipe broke in our yard and we called Benjamin Franklin. I was happy with the service even though it was extremely expensive (~$400 an hour with minimal material required). When the plumber was done, the yard was clean and the grass looked perfect. Well, four days later the same area began leaking. We called the plumber and were told that the area of pipe that broke was not what was fixed originally but they would cover it under the warranty. I was a bit skeptical since it was leaking from the same exact location but since they stated they would fix it under warranty I did not argue with them. According to the plumber they were really swamped so they needed to come back three days later -- again, I had no issue with this since we had running water in the house. I was even told that I did not need to be home for today's repair.
Long story short, I come home today and the yard is completely torn up. The cover won't close over the hole (I had to clean away the debris to close it), trash on the street, trash in the box, mud everywhere. I also had a nice note that my warranty is now null in void and all future work will not be covered.
I was more than accommodating and was never upset with them until now. If the pipe breaks again, I will use CW or some other plumber. Benjamin Franklin is way too expensive for a repair that lasted less than a week. I am $1,200 the wiser now I suppose.

I had a clogged toilet and bath. Scheduling was easy and plumber let me know he was on his way. Don couldn't fix the clog because they are restricted from climbing on the roof to run a snake. He did the best he could to unclog from the cleanout. He also let me know the pipe running from the restroom to main sewer line is busted.
Don was honest and didn't charge for his time spent trying to unclog. He also provided me a quote for the pipe repair.

I had several leaks under my house and they came out and gave me an estimate. I always get three estimates and they were the first one, so I thanked them and sent them on there way. After I got the other two estimates I am kicking myself for not letting Benjamin Franklin do the work the first time. The other two companies were jokes and one of them even smelled like beer. Benjamin Franklin was not the cheapest, but they were still in the ball park and their warranties were ten times better than the other two. They performed the work in one day and even cleaned up better then I had left it.

Maybe some techs are better than others but I would start away from Michael. He did some work on a guest bathroom and once he left the water pressure was off, our new water heater wasn't working and the water was murky. He came back and blamed it on everything else but his possible lack of experience ? There were no apologies but rather a blame on the new water heaters, the city or anything else he could come up with. Also, he put a skarkbit on the hot water pipe (which is a temporary resolution) -which is something we could have done ourselves for less.
The company has not gotten back to us and does not answer our calls. There is no response From management or even the intent to make it right. We paid over $1k for services only to end up with more issues and no resolution.
This company/employees are not here for a long term fix, but they make sure you'll need them for more than you originally planned for. Some may call that a scam but they call it business.

I just got great service from Benjamin Franklin plumbing. They got here quickly, gave me a great price and they were professional. Justin did not rush in and try to get to the next job. He took the time to find out what was wrong and then fixed it! And he didn't try and rip me off. Quite the opposite.

I have to agree with others on here....way too expensive!! I had a pipe break between the meter and the sprinkler system and the plumber they sent said it would be at least $449 to dig the hole and $249 to fix the pipe! Unbelievable! I was furious but...I had already been without water for 24 hrs and it was now late Sat afternoon so they pretty much had me. I think the plumber felt bad and he actually came down to $249 to dig the hole but even he admitted it was easy and only took 5-10 mins. They also said that their trucks were fully stocked but he had to run to Lowe's for some "special glue" and I'm sure that time was included in what I was billed as well. Will not be using them again! This job was an easy job (completed within an hour) and should not have cost more than $200.

Of course, just another big business commercial fix-it company that's out for your money. At least we only wasted $60 for the guy to come out instead of $850 he wanted us to pay for repairs. We later went with an individual (should have done this in the first place but it was an emergency & we were stuck) & he just needed to fix a few small things, cost was only $300.
Only good thing is that the dude was on time. That's their big thing in the commercials, that they are the "punctual plumbers." I'll give em that, but I would rather have an honest late plumber then these people! Plumber barely spoke English too. 'Ol Ben just wants to find more "problems" in your house to fix. They even have a program where you pay some yearly fee & they come out for inspections & give you a discount on repairs LOL biggest load of crap ever. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is NOT their motto!!!:-X OHH, what's that I hear???...Ben Frank rolling in his grave out of disgust of this company using his good name!

Called to ask about a quote to replace 2 fully functioning toilets. The man who answered the phone was very hard to understand. Slurred his speech and spoke like he was reading a script and did not care.
He told me he needed to send a tech to assess the situation for $79 then would schedule another trip to com back to install the toilets for an additional $79 charge on top of the price of work.
So I asked what if I buy toilets and you come out and install them. H refused to give me a price or even a ballpark.
After reading the other reviews I understand why they don't even have a 3 star.
