Extremely frustrated with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and would not use them again! I waited around all afternoon for them to come and snake out a shower drain. 2.5 hours into the service window I called to check on status and they were expected within the next hour. I continued to l wait for tech call telling me they were 1/2 away. I had my husband leave work early to pick up my daughter and I called them again after the service window closed and they tried to tell me that they called 3 times and it went to my voicemail. Funny I have NO voicemail messages!! The 'customer service rep' could not escalate my call to a supervisor at 4:15 because management had already gone for the day. They could offer a credit but would have to reschedule my service. He was going to email management to make them aware of the situation. My drain did not care and was still not fixed. Pathetic! AVOID Benjamin Franklin for any type of emergency work. I give them two thumbs down for customer service. It's a good thing for us that it wasn't a toilet backing up!

Pedro Diaz, Luis R. and Daniel G. were very knowledgeable with the installation of my Puronis water treatment system.

No one wants to deal with plumbing issues! It's basically money down the drain, no pun intended.
I had a flood in my garage this morning and called Benjamin Franklin after a panicked Google Search.
1. Lady who answered the phone could not have been any nicer!!!!!! She advised me to keep my children away as it was a safety hazard for them and since I have small children she would prioritize my case.
2. Communicated when and who would be at my house.
3. They sent TWO techs, not just one! Wayne and Alex were awesome. They were professional, smart, and super easy to work with. They made a painful situation very tolerable.
4. The cost was not bad at all! My husband I were expecting $1000.00 plus and it was only $179.00.
They will definitely be getting my business for years and years to come!

A year ago I noticed a leak from the homes main water line to our landscaping sprinkler valves, the leak was on the feed side of the valve and exposing our homes water system to the risk of contamination. Although I've glued many pvc pipes and sweated many a copper pipe in my days and could tackle it myself, my work schedule was in the way.
I was reticent to have someone else do it while I'd be away for a long day, but I gave Benjamin Franklin Plumbing a call to see how they made me feel about it. I was impressed right away, I explained my situation, my hesitation to let someone else work on my house, etc. The woman I was talking to explained their process, and said they had time to come out right away to look at it, give us an estimate, and if we accept the estimate, complete the repair quickly - it helped she stated, that I knew exactly what I needed.
Well, they showed up on time, confirmed my diagnosis, and for less than $400 replaced my junky plastic PVC valve feeding the landscape watering systems with a quality copper fitting. The quality of the workmanship was excellent, and a year later I see no evidence of leaks whatsoever.
They certainly weren't cheap, but the quality of work was good and I like that they wanted to do it right.

If I could give them a negative rating I would. I set up an appointment with them over a week ago for work to be done and they call me nearly an hour into their 3 hour window to cancel on me and wanted to send someone the next day instead!!!!! I have so much work pending because of this and made arrangements revolving around the appt. all for nothing and now have to start all over finding someone who will come in last minute. Horrible customer service...do not trust them.

This review is way overdue - sorry N.L. We had an unexpected plumbing problem in July. I started calling the plumbers in my area whose names I remembered off the top of my head. No one could help me that day and I really needed the help. B.F. was probably the 4th or 5th plumbing name on my list - it just worked out that way. They were the only plumbers who said they would squeeze me in that day. When I explained my husband was in the hospital and I needed to make sure I'd be home to let them in, these wonderful folks said they would call me about 40 minutes ahead of time to give me ample opportunity to get home. 2 very nice guys showed up when they said they would. They easily diagnosed my problem and fixed it. They did the work quickly and cheerfully. This is a huge belated thank you!

Needed a plumber, so I called. The phone rang, and rang, and rang. In this age of technology, one would think that I could've left a message on voicemail, but alas, it was not to be. Oh well, had to call someone else. Too bad Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, you could've made some money!

First of all, I had a simple request uninstall my pedestal sink so I can have my floors done, and reinstall it when the floor work is complete. Nothing wrong with the sink itself just a basic uninstall and reinstall.
Now I do wanna say that the guys that came to the house to do my work were really nice and professional so this is not an assessment to the people.
But here is my grief. So when you call and make an appointment they say well we cant give you an estimate because the plumber will need to come out and asses it and give you a price base d on that. But when the plumber got to my house they tole me they use flat rates and so really they could. They have a book with all of the prices in it so that was a lie.
But they do that by design, so they can price gauge you when they get there. So for a simple uninstall of my sink $200 (which they said was a mistake and it should have been more) and the reinstallation was almost $400!!! Just to reinstall a sink!!!
Price gauging at its finest... They take advantage of the fact that you are in a emergency situation and take full advantage of that.
Unless you have money to burn I would stay FAR away from this place as they will rob you without a gun.
Needless to say I will NEVER call them again, there has to be an honest plumber out there somewhere but these guys aren't it...

I don't write many reviews but I had to in this case. I needed to have two angle stops replaced and fix/replace the outside faucet. I was quoted over $950 and 2-3 hours. I called around got a plumber to complete the job in less than 1 hour and the total was less than $250. It's no wonder why they have pretty trucks from their price gouging! Choose someone else.

Honest service professionals are hard to find and should receive recognition for it. This is our second time calling Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Each time we were treated fairly. The first time several years ago we called after another plumber quoted us $5000 to replace pipes and jack hammer a sidewalk BFP ran a camera in the pipe and showed me they were fine and all I needed was a toilet. When I replaced the toilet I found that the last guy put the wax ring on top of the old one and it was squished sideways clogging the flow. BFP saved us $5000. This call was for an outside water valve which come to find out just needed to be tightened. He could have told me anything and charged me who knows how much and I would have just paid it. He tightened the valve and only charged me for the service call. We will not call any other plumbing service again these guys know their stuff and care about their customers.
