This is an update to my review. I did contact the company to verify the charge accuracy and discuss high rate. I was called back by a service manager who discussed the fee with me. He was very courteous and patient in going through the charge. The customer service was great and he did work with me to resolve it. I am bumping my review up for customer service; however, I do think that the rates are very high for this service provider.

I've had two service calls from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing serving the Chandler Area. The first one was somewhat high priced but done reasonably. The second call for a similar project was obviously a clear effort to charge double the price. The conclusion is you can't trust who you will get and also we found another plumbing company that would perform the task for less than the first call.

Great service all around from very professional plumbers. Not pushy and gave me all the info I was looking for and some I had no idea I should be asking about. A little pricier than competitors but I always say, if you want it done right, call the most qualified to get it done. In this case, my home is my biggest investment and I'm not going to settle. Hopefully I don't need any services again soon but if I do, I'll be calling them again.

My experience was positive. Technician who came out was professional. People at main office were professional. My only issue is I spent $69 for the technician to tell me they couldn't flush my water heater due to water deposits on valve. This I understand. Technician recommended new water heater. So I paid $69 for the technician to hook up a hose to my water tank and drain it. I will be saving for a new water heater so I can purchase one when needed.

Love these guys. We bought an older home and knew we'd be in for some plumbing issues. We've had Ben Franklin out several times over the past few years for various issues and have always been impressed with their technicians. They're friendly and always go above and beyond to keep the house clean and leave everything better than when they came. We purchased their warranty plan and have saved hundreds of dollars on our appointments. Would recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely a positive experience with these people.

After returning from a five day out of town conference, I discovered I had a leak in the tube that allowed water to go into the toilet. It had flooded the bathroom and was starting into the bedroom. This was 9 am in the morning. I called one of the majors who told me they could arrive around 4 pm but for an extra $125 dollars they'd get someone out sooner. I scheduled it and they'd call when someone became available. I happened to remember Rosie on the house a fixit talk show on 92.3. They always suggested Benjamin Franklin Plumbing so decided to talk them as well. They told me they would have someone out within an hour and at no extra fee. They couldn't have been nicer over the phone and told me about the service plan that I will talk about later. I called and canceled the other. What made the early as possible arrival is that I live in a condo where they have to turn off the water to ten condos and not just mine. To make a long story short, I ended up spending $1700. My place was built in 71 and just needed some major plumbing help. What I appreciate was that Dave, the tech stayed from 10:30 am to 6:30pm to get all of what really needed to be done. He explained step by step everything he did and why. you might say boy was this guy taken for a ride which is not the case. My Father was a contractor who did this sort of thing so I may not be able to do it myself but know when it has to be done. I phone out that my tub had rusted through and was leaking into the floor among other things. I would recommend asking for Dave particularly, he is clean considerate and explains all. if there were more stars to give him and this experience.

Dave also called a service for me that does restorations after a flood.Rocky Mountain Restoration-480-309-2524.They gave me an idea of how much damage might be done but had to wait to let it dry before they could tell me for sure. I told them that it might be a while before I can afford what they might be suggesting. They had the courtesy to loan me a dehumidifier that if I run it until monday-the whole weekend, it can really minimize the damage in the walls and floor. It is quite possible that as a result the work that is going to need to be done may be minimal. As they said it takes the water out before mold can start. No credit card no nothing a free loan. Nice to have Dave recommend a group like this-especially since my father's company use to do resorations. Another thing I can't do myslef but sure know what to look for!

About the service plan. Benjamin Frankling Plumbing has a $14.99 a month service plan that will end up saving me quite a bit of money for what else I know needs to be done. It saved me 15% today and they waived the $65 initial fee for a new customer.

Installed a Badger 5 garbage disposal. Search the internet and Badger 5 cost less than $100.00. They charged $467.00 for install and the disposal. I will NEVER use them again.

I had to call Ben Franklin when our hot water stopped in our sink late on a Friday afternoon. This was the company we were told to call while we were within our warranty period, but they didn't have us on file. That worried me. When I called in I was able to get an appointment that very same day and within a couple of hours Dave showed up. He was very knowledgeable and we were able to determine the problem rather quickly. I would recommend them for any job and will be calling them for any issues we have in the future.

Water heater leaking in garage--just out of warranty. I called Brewer because they took over plumbing for Pulte builder for my home. I was transferred to Benjamin Franklin which Brewer now owns. Then the problems began. A CS rep and the dispatcher would answer no questions! The first tech out, Gary, was the only professional I dealt with, and he took the time to try to accurately diagnose the problem. His estimate was from his book and was very high with no break-down of labor and parts. The next tech came in fast-talking with a much higher price and no breakdown of costs. He quickly removed the old water heater to his truck. (I called the local water heater distributor and they quoted price to sell new one (same model) to me at under $1,050. ) However, I had no way to pick up and was in an emergency situation. Bottom line--Benjamin Franklin charged me $2,100 to replace the water heater. I'm sure they got the new heater for less than $1,050, so you can figure they piled up a great profit for what is usually a 4 hour job. There was no clean-up to do--it was a simple replacement. Who would ever use Benjamin Franklin ??? !!!
