This has been our second time using BFP and we are once again very pleased with their performance. Our technician, Adam was professional, courteous and thorough and did a great job replacing our water heater and went the extra mile to replace much of the antiquated plumbing behind the unit. Discovered a leak in a copper pipe, the main supply into the house. Determined it was beyond my DYI skill set and decided to call a plumber. Called friends and family and could not get a recommendation from either. So I turned to Yelp.

I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Talked with Chris. He was polite, courteous and listened with patience. He promised service in a two hour window. Got a call in an hour that the technician was on there way.

Caleb was our plumber. He is polite, clean and efficient. He explained the costs involved and jumped right into getting the job done. He was fast and neat. Thank You Caleb.

I will never use this company again!! Called for an estimate to unclog a drain and was told couldn't give me one. It would cost $69 to come and determine the cost. Plummer came pulled out a notebook and said he HAD to charge what was listed $245 plus $69. He told me if I sent him away I still had to pay $69. I felt stuck, bullied and intimidated. Had work done which took about 30 min. Then plumber said he could give me a discount if I tipped him. I'm a single woman and was scared to reject his offer. This company has a serious problem. Stay away.

They replaced my hot water heater I previously bought from them. It was easy to access in the garage. It was under warranty but it cost over $700 to replace for about two hours of work. I signed off on it at the time but later thought that roughly $350 per hour was too much to pay. I Called the manager to express the concern and ask for explanation of the cost. He said he would research and call me back. Never heard from him going on 3 weeks now. The work was good but I won't be using them again.

I had an emergency ruptured pipe....spewing water from a backyard faucet that just broke suddenly late on a Friday afternoon. Couldn't turn off the main.....in a panic....called the City to assist....and called MULTIPLE plumbers advertising emergency services.....all saying couldn't come until the next day.....UNTIL I finally called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing....and they said of course they could send a plumber....a friendly voice who called me back to tell me one was on the way! In short order way before I expected ADAM arrived with such a kind and encouraging way. He assessed all....gave me all the options carefully explained, and got to work. Adam solved the problem and made sure all was in order and carefully turned the water back on and made sure everything was in order. Adam was very capable, a can do kinda guy, and acted like he would make it all right....and with a SMILE!! I can't thank you enough Adam and Ben Franklin Plumbing!!

Nice and friendly technician. I didn't get any work done because the estimate was too high for my liking. The main problem I had was after receiving my estimate
The technician goes 'you know about the $69 service charge right' and I told him no I was never told about it. Then he calls the office and the guy taking the calls out right lied and said he told me about it. If he did I would have waited for someone to come next pay day. I feel like I was swindled out of $69. You should really make sure you give all the information over the phone to a new customer. For this reason alone I will never use this company again.

I have been a Benjamin Franklin Plumbing customer for a number of years, but I was so impressed with this last service call, I needed to write this review to let others know about the fantastic work done at this company. I spoke with Brooks at the office to arrange service for my water heater that kept turning off. He was polite and helpful in finding a service time that best fit my schedule. Danny S. came out promptly and quickly discovered the problem with my water heater. He could have left it at that, but he took the time to do a careful inspection of my unit. He discovered a leak that probably didn't have anything to do with the water heater turning off, but with more investigation on his part, led to finding that my water heater was covered under warranty for a full replacement. Long story short, Danny's thoroughness and advocacy led to us getting a new water heater for just the cost of installation. Furthermore, when Danny came back to install the new water, he did an exemplary job refitting the pipes perfectly, showing a high degree of workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. I can't recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing more highly. We've had nothing but good experiences overall and a particularly great experience with Danny.
