The estimates were for the same package excluding the permit fee of $150, which after inquiring at our local government offices I found that a permit was not needed to replace an existing appliance of the same type. It seems that you seem to get very defensive when replying to poor reviews of your company. After reading several poor reviews of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing I find your replies all seem to point to the customer having the problem.
Oh well, just keep shining up those trucks and keep the snappy commercials coming. :-)

Why is such an angry person........never mind. Just continue to be the best, brightest, and knowledgeable salesperson you are to promote your business to the masses. I am sure you will be successful at your endeavors. I now bow out of this useless, but oh so entertaining discussion. Read the reviews people.

Initially pleasant salesman; on time; respectful of my home. He provided many and varied options without explaining which one would be best and why, leaving the decision to me. Spoke of utilizing subcontractors. However, at $6K+ to put in a simple sump pump that would connect to an outside drain that is literally right in the same corner of the house is obscenely expensive. Also there would be a $395 camera charge to check the viability of the drain. Advised me that my waterline into the home was set up wrong and my hot water heater needed flushing and I should sign up for a maintenance program with Ben Franklin. Left me with the sense that my problems are just beginning with my plumbing. Not really happy and would not recommend this company. This was a second bid and this salesman, when he heard this, said that the other company would NOT HONOR their warranty. Really? I'll let them know.

Don't use these people! They came out to check my washer leak in basement. I was told possibly a clog, probably old pipes in ground collapsed. Estimate was extremely high. I called another plumber for 2nd opinion. It's a freakin hole in the hose in back of washer! It's spewing water when it's draining!!! Stay away from this company. Bye, Foothills was the 2nd company who diagnosed the hose.use them.

They came in and never addressed the minor issue with a leaking toilet--they proceeded to try and convince my 84 yr old mother she needed her entire pipes refitted with pvc at 5400.00 for the job and then after pressure gave her an estimate of 3200.00 for drains only refitting. The house has copper piping and according to Bob Villa pvc should not be used for cold and hot pressure piping and it can be toxic and it really isn't used in commercial fittings so why push it in residential fittings. We finally got the entire minor issue plus a new comfort height toilet installed for her for less than 600.00. Please even get 2 or 3 opinions before using this company. If the job isn't big enough they will make appear to be so they make money

I discovered I had a leak at the water meter. When I called them to get an estimate they wanted to charge me $69! The shock of the unexpected repair was bad enough, but to charge for an estimate was ridiculous. I live in Hickory not out in the country away from town. I also planned to remodel 2 bathrooms which I needed an estimate also. I was hoping to get both estimates at the same time and save them a trip. I even had one of their coupons for a free estimate, but they still wanted to charge me!
